I was initially excited when I started using Momondo. Now, after a few faulty bookings, I'm never using Momondo again. The last straw was a flight I tried book on Momondo using a service called FlightMojo. They booked a fake ticket then called me back trying to get me pay for a new ticket at the double the price. Moreover, this seems to be a fairly common experience with that service. Momondo is not vetting the quality of the service providers it uses so there's a high likelihood your booking is going to get messed up. Just avoid. There are better sites out there.

When you leave momondo to book, your transaction is subject to the chosen booking provider’s stated rules, conditions and policies. If a post-booking issue should occur, you would work with their customer service team to resolve it.
Ticket prices constantly fluctuate according to a number of factors, not least supply and demand. On occasion, accuracy issues may also arise in the price and availability data obtained from the providers. It sounds like this is what you may have experienced.

I found tickets for South America via Momondo , they use sub companies that have such bad reputations and that in itself makes the whole idea of finding good affordable prices laughable, they are accountable for who they make us , the users , use and they don’t give a flying f , I can’t recommend momondo, you’ll end up getting cheated in some way or another .

Nothing better. Because they check more flights than any other app, the search engine takes longer. Best prices —especially good for grandparents who might be paying, either in the US or over the puddle.

Great Flight Search website
Momondo is Always our go-to website when planning a trip, I sometimes check other websites but to be honest, I rarely see them beating Momondo prices and the website is very neat and easy to work with, at least for us the experience is very smooth.
There was an occasion once that I paid for a cheap ticket in a 3rd party website but the next day they emailed me that there were no available tickets... (although money was deducted from my account), I contacted them and they return my money the week after.

Unethical business model- charges hidden fees and bad customer service
I searched for tickets on Momondo for my upcoming trip. I was presented with many options to book from different travel sites. Eventhough the prices for booking with momondo.com were not the cheapest, I used them. While booking I was advised that the tickets will be booked by momondo but customer service provided by airfare.com. I booked them and have the tickets and then I get the tickets from the airlines and see that the base fare charged by Momondo is $30 more than what the airline is presenting on the ticket per person. This is totally unacceptable when the website claims that they only get their money via referral links and dont charge anything extra. Totally unethical practice !!! I wish I had known and would have booked directly from the airlines or some known travel agent with transparent pricing...
I understand per below response that I should contact airfare. Have done it already and no response. Why would you show the reviews of this website masked under your name if you don’t stand by this malpractice. Why would you use them to provide customer service when you already know that they are awful!! I guess you are like any other travel site which should be blackmarked, avoided and just use airlines site to book tickets for peace of mind. I have been a regular customer but I believe you have now lost business. All the best and let’s see how long you survive!!! Good lesson learned

Deliberate lie ..
Deliberate lie ... or just plain cheating?
Have just tried to book a ticket from Copenhagen to Mallorca and return.
Best alternative was Mix and Match, where you first order flight down and then return.
Ticket to Mallorca with Norwegian kept the price and we ordered.
But when trying to book the trip back home with SAS... the price was all of a sudden much higher..
As you can't call Momondo I called SAS. Apparently it was not the first time they had a call like mine... but they could not do anything...
So coming back to the qustion.... I guess it is a bit off both... Shame on you Momondo :-(

I wrote to Momondo asking for help. This morning they responded that they could not help. And a claim that the error is caused by prices changing rapidly.
Fun fact... I made the above error Saturday. And just to check I made the exact same search the day after. And the same "offer" was shown.
Based on this I need to keep the rating of 1. And conclude that their search engine is slow... in their favor.

When you see a momondo Mix, what you are actually seeing are two separate one-way flights available for purchase from different providers that, when combined, equal the round trip for which you are searching. By combining two one-way bookings, momondo Mix allows you to find cheaper flights, and flight times that would otherwise not be available.
Unfortunately, fares can and do change rapidly, and because a momondo Mix combines two separate bookings, we clearly state the importance of verifying fares and availability for both bookings before completing either purchase, by reviewing the flight details on the individual booking pages of the providers.
If the second flight price was not available after you already booked the first flight, you have two options: you can either search for a return flight as a one-way flight on momondo, or your can try contacting the provider with whom you booked the first flight and investigate your cancellation options.

MOMONDO should be concerned enough about its reputation to not link to disreputable travel sites. student universe is one such site. a picture id to use your credit card. i don't think so. there are others. momondo - don't do it or we won't use your services any more. read their reviews. they are bad.

Dont not use this company. It's a scan. I booked four tickets to Pakistan. They give me pnr number everything. After received payment cancelled my tickets I'm suppose to fly out on Sunday. Feel sick to stomach. We was going to meet our relative who is dying wth cancer. Was going to spend last eid wth him. Now we hve no tickets. No refunds. Ignoring calls. Everything. It's a scam

First thing I’ve been waiting for the flight booking confirmation and hotel reservation confirmation since yesterday evening but not been sent yet!!
Secondly I have been shouted at and disrespected by one the employees and when I asked him not to shout and he can call me when he’s calm he said”I won’t call you again!”
Thirdly no one is answering my calls or responding to my emails ,I’ve asked for a refund and they totally ignored me!

Momondo was easy to use and we saved more than $250.00.
We pretty easily found the flights we liked from Los Angeles to London and Paris to Los Angeles on Momondo.
Clicked the choices and it sent us to Delta.
We purchased the flights for almost 25% less money than if we'd gone straight to Delta.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I booked flight last month through one of the booking agents Flightbird, that for some reason was canceled by the them a few days later. For reason I don’t know. I was never informed. Only found out when checking the issues tickets in AA app. and they were gone. Travel was in a week, and kept gettin put off by this company that they would rebook, never happened despite numerous calls. With my travel approaching I asked for refund and booked elsewhere. It has now been a month and still trying to get refund, despite numerous calls and the telling me they are going to refund, but have a new excuse as to delay and different time frame for said delay. At this point I can only figure this service is a scam and I question the positive reviews. Monmondo customer service has done nothing to remedy this issue. I still am trying to get refund.

We booked our tickets through Momondo…
We booked our tickets through Momondo with BudgetAir a couple of days ago... Only to receive an email from BudgetAir today the airline gave them incorrect seat availability for the prices we paid for, so our trip was cancelled.. Does Momondo not read any of the online reviews before partnering up with them? We trusted Momondo with doing their due diligence but I guess we shouldn't have.. Please consider doing your due diligence and review all of the partners that you are currently working with. This was our first time booking with Momondo and our experience hasn't been positive. We will not use this service again and will never recommend anyone to use it.
