They went into liquidation at the end of June. Shame - until then they had been my go to supplier, but more of a shame for the employees.

Used to use them all the time, but for some reason the website doesn't accept my login details anymore and there's absolutely no way of resetting details. And if you can't login, you can't browse.Strange. Unless they have stopped trading, but this has been an issue for some months now. Hey ho, my business has gone elsewhere

I have bought from them over the years and always had good customer service. Yet, clearly the firm has gone under and not bothered to tell anyone. On my last order, it never arrived...and only after numerous emails did I get a replacement order. I have to wonder if my first order was even shipped. Not good at all.

they bend over backwards with instant replys when you spend over £200 and next day delivery via dpd, but when you order £60 on the website, you get flat out ignored, and then ship your order via ebay faster with tracking p4ovided, and don't think to same themself money and ship them together.. and then when you complian block you in ebay like a crybaby and remove your account on the website ... had better service for hermes ffs

I have been ordering from Model Hobbies on and off for about three years now. About the end of April I noticed that they applied a password box to login.
I entered my password and was told it was incorrect.
No button for 'Forget password' or 'Reset password'
Very strange that a company would do this unless they are no longer trading.

This was a good online model store but something seems to have happened. I placed two orders in March 2022 that were fulfilled in full, quite quickly, and the pricing was very good.
Then in late April 2022 things began to go awry. While building up an order over a couple of days the website suddenly asked for a log in password. I could access my basket and delete items but I could not look through stock to add items. I reported this via email and received a response saying they had a technical issue. Then the following day the site was accessible as normal so I completed my basket and paid. This order arrived in full within a few days.
A few weeks later the password requirement was back and access to parts of the site become more restrictive each time I looked at it. Even now in June 2022 it is still possible to bring up the website, type in the search box and scroll through the drop down search, but the log in requirement remains.
Like others here I have sent several polite enquiring emails as to how to set up a log in so that I can continue to order from them, and yet have received no response.
I am afraid I do not feel as if I can risk ordering anything more from Model Hobbies unless they can prove they are still trading and reputable.
Very strange.

Looking at the other recent reviews - there seem to be issues? Have been ordering from them with no issues for several years now. Always great service.But site 'log in' is u/s - no way to log in and eBay site is empty. Tried emailing but no response. It would be more honest to take the site down or at least say - 'we have closed - sorry'. Some people seem to have lost money / items. Is it unexpected illness etc ? Great shame.

I bought a number of items.
When delivered, one was missing.
I've now sent 4 emails and not had a reply. The phone number I had didn't answer.
Luckily the missing item was low value but it might not have been with probably the same result.
Not good enough. Not honest enough.

I have used these via their online store and eBay for a couple of years now and always had great service but their eBay shop says there away until July and their online store now requires a password to access,password dosnt work and forgot password or open new account facility isn't available,sent two emails but had no reply, can only assume their shutting shop.

I ordered decals from them on 5/5/22.
I had an email to say it was dispatched, but nothing has arrived. Tried to phone, but no answer. Emailed more than once as well but no reply. They have many items on eBay for sale, but the info on eBay says they are on holiday so there will be a delay in delivery, and it won’t allow the buyer to checkout. Seems odd as they’ve been on holiday a while now. I’ve bought several items from them before without any issues, but I’m very annoyed they haven’t got back to me by email, and it’s impossible to get them to pick up the phone. !!!!!

have been buying from them for years now, excellent service and very reasonable prices particularly international postage.
I ordered a small item in Feb'22 which didnt arrive, I eventually got through to them (6 weeks later) and got refunded immediately. I have placed several orders this year, my last in April, all arrived in Australia in good time. Havent been able to access the website now for past month, requiring password?
Their ebay account says "seller is away returning 2 june"?
Theres obviously something going down, hope theyre still in business?

I bought on site for three years and I have always been satisfied. However, like many peoples, I did not receive my last order made on April 18th. Paypal accepted my complaint. No one can connect to their site anymore, since it only asks for a password and not that of the user. Very disappointing and dishonest.

Tried to purchase some items from them (paints and spray paint). Got an email telling me the items were delivered but never showed. Tried to get in contact with them but no response. Had to open a PayPal dispute to get my money back.

They are scammers, don't buy from them.

Cannot contact Model Hobbies either by email or phone. I am guessing the company has gone down the pan where it belongs!! Terrible customer service, you cannot even access their site now. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!

Have used these as my supplier of choice since start of covid. Always been excellent 5*. Site has now changed to requireing a p/w. It will not accept the p/w I have used for nearly 3 years. Trying to contact them can be difficult, but still trying. Awaiting reply from last mail, so see what happens. Not sure what's hppening, usually a spot on outfit.

Such a strange company, I have had orders from them in the past that have been delivered quite quickly and have been complete, but my recent order did not arrive, I sent an e mail which was ignored, a second one got a response from their 'customer services', and said it had got lost in the post and they would send another out, that was over four weeks since, still nothing, I have sent them twelve e mails since and none of them have been answered, I tried phoning but the phone was not answered after it had rung for over ten minutes. I shall never use them again, I wish I had seen these reviews before I placed this order, there are so many reputable honest dealers out there who will get my business in future.
If you order from this company, you are taking a chance in not seeing your goods...ever, my advice, go elsewhere.

Ordered item on 04 May 22. Item supposedly dispatched on 08 May without a valid tracking number, nothing arrived. Attempted to contact them 3 times, no reply so now going through a PayPal resolution process. Web site is now only accessible by logging in, all a little strange, best avoid.

1 star is based on recent attempts to contact Model Hobbies, would otherwise be 5 stars. Have place 15 orders with them over last 12 months with absolutely no problems. Have not been able to access thier site or contact them since 4th May - worrying !

Don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve been a customer for 2 or 3 years now. Great prices and service, customer service has been faultless. Twice I’ve had packages go missing in the post but Model Hobbies sent out replacements within days, no quibble.
A bit concerned at the moment that I can’t access their website though.
