Absolutely the worst I’ve ever dealt…

Absolutely the worst I’ve ever dealt with. No apology just they’re sorry to hear it doesn’t meet my expectations. Then try to offer $50 off. Phone is several grades below as new with sharp deep gouges down each side from a display clamp it was bolted into at the store. The camera surround has no paint left on it and the charging port is also covered in scratches.

Hi David, sorry it's taken so long to come back to your review. That's not how a Premium-graded phone should arrive, and offering $50 off was the wrong response. Reviews like yours are what's pushed us to drastically improve how devices are inspected and graded. Every phone now passes a 72-point inspection at our Sydney facility before going out, with a 24-month warranty, free return shipping, and a 30-day refund window. If you're open to giving us another go, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au and I'll personally hand-pick the next one.

Cheers, Steve

Hi Nick, sorry it's taken us a while to come back to this. A defective camera and a misaligned S Pen on a Premium-grade S24 Ultra is exactly what shouldn't happen, and the fact that it did was on us. Feedback like yours has driven real changes since. Every phone now passes a 72-point inspection at our Sydney facility, with a 24-month warranty, free return label, and refunds within 3 business days. If you'd like to give us another shot, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au and I'll personally make sure it's done right this time.

"New Condition" Samsung galaxy 21s bought on 01/08/24

"New Condition" bought on 01/08/24. I've had to send back the phone twice due to the faulty battery and each time they sent me back the phone with a faulty battery. I've had no phone during this 2 week period and now I'm stuck with a faulty phone that I spent $409 on. Do not trust this company they do not honour their 2 year warranty. biggest regret and worst purchase experience. STAY AWAY!

Hi Daniela, sorry it's taken us a while to circle back. Sending the same faulty phone back twice and leaving you without a working device for two weeks is the opposite of what our warranty is meant to do. We let you down. Feedback like yours has pushed us to drastically improve QA and warranty handling. Every device now passes a 72-point inspection, and warranty turnarounds at our Sydney facility are within 3 business days of receipt. If you'd like us to put it right, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au with your order number and I'll take it on personally.

DON’T DO IT!

DON’T DO IT!! I don’t recommend this business.! (Unless they change their warranty to include batteries)

I bought through Mobile federation because of the 24 month warranty.
My Premium 9 month old iPhone 12 battery has degraded so it needs to be changed.
Upon contacting Grace at support I was informed they don’t do battery changes, also my so called 24 month warranty will be null-in-void if I get the battery replaced due to tampering.
Yet it has to be tampered with to change the battery.

In order to keep my warranty I was informed by Grace to change my battery after my warranty expired.! That’s another 15 months. I would need to charge my phone 3-5 times a day to even use the basic function.

I will not be recommending or buying from them again and doing my research next time on this warranty business anyone advertises.

Hi Liam, sorry it's taken a while to come back to this. The old policy around battery replacements was a catch-22 that shouldn't have existed, and reviews like yours have driven us to fix it. If you've still got the phone, please email steve@mobilefederation.com.au with your order number and I'll personally take care of it for you, even though the original warranty terms are well past.

Refurbished iPhone Disappointment

Refurbished iPhone Disappointment
Got an iPhone 13 from them - sent straight back as poorly packed and what was declared as GOOD condition was far from it. Bought via Reebelo and don’t understand how they let this company keep selling on their platform.

Hi Henning, sorry it's taken us this long to come back to your review. A GOOD-graded iPhone shouldn't arrive in worse condition than described, and the packaging shouldn't have failed it on the way. Both were on us. Feedback like yours has pushed us to drastically improve QA, grading, and packaging. Every device now passes a 72-point inspection at our Sydney facility and ships with signature-on-delivery. If you'd give us another shot, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au and I'll personally hand-pick the next one.

Hi Benjamin, sorry it's taken us this long to reply. Packaging that lets a $900 phone arrive damaged isn't acceptable, and we hear you. Feedback like yours has pushed us to drastically improve how devices are packed and shipped, and we cover return shipping if anything arrives damaged. If you'd like to give us another go, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au and I'd be happy to make it right.

Purchased an s22+ in excellent condition via Reebelo. Can barely tell phone is used, it is in perfect condition. Definitely worth purchasing through a third party such as Reebelo.

Faulty goods, no Reply

I bought a used Samsung S9+ from Mobile Federation in February 2022 and was very happy with the products initial appearance and condition.
After using the phone a couple of times I realised that the ear speaker was not working properly and I had to listen to calls on the speaker phone. I contacted MF who replied straight away and advised me to send the phone back to them with a postal receipt which they would refund. A few days later they contacted me to ask if I would accept a replacement phone in a different colour which I agreed to.
A couple of weeks after using the replacement phone I noticed that there we're issues with the screen, it would do things like the colours would fade or the bottom 2 thirds of the screen would black out. Mostly the screen would clear after a few minutes but clearly it was not working properly. I contacted them to report the issue and ask their advice on 28/4/23 with no reply. I reported it again on 3/5/23 again with no reply. I have contacted them a third time on 10/5/23 to ask them to reply or I would leave honest reviews like this one and seek legal advice. Again, no reply hence this review and yes, I am seeking legal advice.
FYI, they have a phone number on their website which if you call go's to a message bank which is full and can't be used. Hmmm can't think why it would be full!

Update 24/07/2023
Mobile Federation did finally get in touch and asked me to return the phone for a replacement which I did. Unfortunately the replacement phone experienced the same screen problems and so I contacted them again, this time requesting a full refund as I had lost faith in them and I had access to a phone from another source. They agreed to a refund with no obligations and after sending the replacement phone to them they have now refunded in full.

Apart from the mis-understanding involving the late responses at the beginning of the review I have genuinely enjoyed dealing with these guys. They have been prompt and courteous and in all honesty in a few years when I'm after a newer phone I will probably give these guys a second chance.

Hi Paul, sorry it's taken so long to come back to this. Thanks for circling back to update your review. It's a fair account of where things went wrong and where we eventually got to. A lot has changed since then. Response times are now within one business day, every device passes a 72-point inspection, and warranty turnarounds at our Sydney facility are within 3 business days. If you do come looking for a newer phone in future, email steve@mobilefederation.com.au and I'll personally look after it.

False advertisement, Dishonest business people

These guys sold me a phone advertised as an 'Australian Model' under ebays 'Ebay Refurbished' program. There are multiple categories of refurbished phones under ebays program, i purchased under the 'like new' category, this means that the phone must be refurbished by samsung or a samsung verified refurbisher, problem is.. they sold me a french phone. It is impossible that the phone passed samsungs refurbishment check system. They will not provide me with the company that does it, or proof of my phones certification.

They are very difficult to deal with and I recommend not buying from these people, I believe they are a dishonest business.
