The employees are kind

The employees are kind, friendly and they attend to your need immediately. When you call the wait time is not ridiculously long. That is very good.
But the reason for the minus star is because they call very often to propose offers n options and when they tell you about ut, they almost immediately subscribe even if you don't want it. I think the calls should be reduced. Send an email if customers are interested they will contact you.

Still charging after cancellation

I have been a customer of Freenet for more than 4 years and unfortunately my experience has been extremely frustrating.

I cancelled my contract in August 2025 and sent the official cancellation confirmation. Since then I have completely stopped using the SIM card and internet service. Despite this, Freenet continues to withdraw money from my bank account every month.

I have contacted their customer service several times by email and even sent the cancellation letter again. Instead of solving the problem, they keep asking irrelevant questions such as whether my email address is correct or if I want to change to a different plan.

This is unacceptable. I cancelled the contract months ago and the service is no longer being used, yet they are still taking money from my account.

After more than four years as a customer, this is a very disappointing way to treat someone. I cannot recommend Freenet based on my experience.

All relatively okay until I was signed…

All relatively okay until I was signed up for Waipu TV without asking for it. I called freenet to ask a question, the next day I have a mail saying I have signed up for waipu.tv as well as some additional Flexi contract for my phone. You cannot cancel this in the app. You have to call them as well. I can just imagine how many ppl fall into this trap. Especially those who aren't tech literate. If you don't cancel this service you automatically enter into a contract with them. After calling freenet to cancel these options I was told by the woman on the phone that she doesn't know why I was signed up for this, sometimes her colleagues just sign people up without asking. These were her exact words. What a pity I've taken a contract with them. Will definitely be changing when the two years is up.

They are total scammers

They are total scammers. They are selling unlimited data package in the name of fixed data package. They are showing something but giving something else. Don't trust them.

Calls every week to push you into shady offers

Freenet calls you every few days from different phone numbers to offer you "great" deals. The next day they send you a long small printed contract with a lot of items you explicitly said no to, yet, you cannot prove that since they only contact you through phone calls. Every time you call them to correct these errors, they offer you "solutions" that only increase the number deducted from your account. Trying to cancel your contract is only possible through a long chain of phone calls in different departments and ultimately do not go through since you have no written proof of your cancellation. Unfortunately, they avoid written communication that you could use to support your claims. Very shady company!

No Customer Service!

Horrific customer service. Called up twice today to sort out an eSim and first the person on the telephone spoke at a truly unintelligible speed attempting to sell me things (felt like a bit of a scam in which if one speaks quickly then says 'Do you understand' - one then unwittingly agrees to purchases); I replied every time with NO I don't understand and yet 'somehow' a new order appeared on my account. Then when I called again soon after to clarify the person on the telephone said that they 'couldn't clarify' without verification via tan (something which didn't function the first time either). Very suspicious so they can add unauthorised charges onto your account without tan verification however can't remove then? Do the math. Then also hung up on me because they cannot talk for more than 20 minutes - bizarre as I assured him I was more irritated than him that the issue was taking more than 20 minutes! So be aware if there is ever any issue (which there will be) the person on the phone WILL NOT help you. I have since cancelled my contract and will never use their 'services' again.
