An excellent company
An excellent company. Had the pleasure of using Mixam for the last four years. The quality of the printing and products are exceptional and any enquiries to customer service are always dealt with efficiently. One of the best features is the ease with which you upload files. The preview when a manuscript is uploaded is brilliant, making self publishing so easy to achieve. Communication about an order is very good and delivery is speedy also. Highly recommended.

Good quality but improvement needed in communication between services and with clients
Please take this for Mixam as a whole.
The day I was supposed to receive my delivery in Spain I contacted you to see what was going on and was informed later on that the printing facility had put my order on hold because the document was not good enough.
1h later I sent an updated version but was told it was already printed but that it was acceptable for them… well… acceptable is quickly said and then why not print it 10 days earlier?
Result : not as good as it could have been with the version sent and had to stress until 48H before the wedding to be finally delivered.
It is your printing facility that should have contacted you immediately, to say there is a problem with the file.
Then you would have been able to contact me immediately, to tell me to change the file, which took one hour to do.
Not the other way around, me contacting you, contacting them. They should be proactive and bottom up.
The version I received, luckily on time but with stress until delivered, would have been much better, and would have arrived a week before, better, smoother, and without any stress.
Not to mention, that it is not understandable, that Mixam UK delivers to Spain, but Mixam Germany, which is in the EU, doesn’t deliver to Spain. This creates undue double taxing and customs rights for the customer. In the end, more than 1/3 of the total cost is delivery, taxes and customs costs…
I think you guys are great, but to land amongst the stars, we need to shoot for the moon, and there is some room for improvement described here I hope.

We’re so sorry that the issue with the artwork being too close to the trim lines was not spotted and advised sooner. We would normally catch these types of issues earlier in the process, so this seems to have slipped through the net.
Once you had made us aware of the deadline, it was better for us to proceed with the original artwork being tight to the trim line rather than start again with the new files, as this could have risked delaying the order further.
We’re really glad the order arrived in time and turned out okay, but we do agree that the process should have been smoother, and we will make sure your feedback is passed on.
Regarding shipping, we are exploring more cost-effective shipping options outside of Germany, and we hope these will become available in the future. We appreciate that customs charges, taxes and higher delivery costs can make things more frustrating than they need to be, especially when shipping within Europe feels like it should be more straightforward.
That said, even with the higher shipping rate, we do still aim to remain competitively priced overall compared with many other printers.
Of course, customers are under no obligation to proceed with an order if they are not happy with the shipping costs shown before checkout. We are always transparent with the full cost before payment is made, so customers can decide whether the order works for them.
Thank you again for your feedback. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and feedback like this genuinely helps us do that.
Error with prints
The quality of the comic copies are good however 3 of copies were printed in the wrong order. Naturally mistakes can happen however getting it rectified was my issue with Mixam. Despite me contacting twice via online chat with video evidence and three times via email the matter wasn't resolved and fell into the fifth week since the initial error. The issue was no-one got back to me with when I would get my copies. Which I felt was unprofessional. I had to request a refund, which I felt they were more willing to do, then reprint. As I write this review (08-July-26) this matter is still pending.

Issues like this are very rare, but we completely understand that when something does go wrong, what matters most is how quickly and clearly we put it right.
We had arranged for the affected copies to be reprinted, but unfortunately, it looks like this was not processed correctly. Sadly, we only became aware of this when you contacted us again after a few weeks, and we’re genuinely sorry for the delay and frustration this caused.
We can see that you last messaged us yesterday afternoon regarding the refund, and we’ll be getting that sorted for you today.
Mistakes can sometimes happen during printing, but we will always do our best to make things right when they do. We’re sorry again that this took longer than it should have, and we appreciate your patience.

Another good mixam experience
As I wished a simple design tool and avoid in design or infinity, for a rather simplistic concept, mixam online tool was great. Allowed to size my images exactly how I wanted (had done a previous run on a bw project). The difference here was the bw and colour mix for the personal album.
As a result the bw component of it has a bit of a cast, to be expected and that I seem to be the only one noticing!
Delivery through DHL was easy to follow and to rearrange. All good to me.

Poor Quality Prints
I’m honestly so disappointed with the business cards I received. The quality is nowhere near what I expected from a professional printing company.
The print is blurry in places, the detailing looks messy, and the borders/corners are badly printed and uneven. On top of that, some of the cards have visible marks/scuffs and the card stock itself looks poor quality. Overall they look cheap, damaged and badly finished rather than like a polished business product.
These were ordered for my business, so presentation matters massively, and I simply can’t hand these out to clients in this condition. It’s frustrating to have spent money on something that looks defective and unprofessional straight out of the box.
Really unhappy with the quality control here and I definitely wouldn’t have expected cards to arrive looking like this.

From our checks, the artwork supplied does appear to be blurry in places, which can affect the sharpness and overall finish once printed.
With borders and corners, there can also be slight movement during trimming. This is not unique to Mixam and is standard across the print industry, with movement of up to 3mm possible in either direction. Because of this, very tight borders or fine edge details can sometimes appear uneven after trimming.
We’re sorry if the resolution offered was not to your liking, but we have offered a generous discount so you can reorder with amended, clearer, and cleaner artwork. This should help achieve a much better result on a new print run?
Primary 7 yearbooks
We used Mixam to print 33 year books for our primary 7 leavers! I was able to upload my own design so easily and printing and shipping was done in a week! Kids loved them and we couldn’t be happier! Will definitely be using them again!

consistently late delivery
It has now been 5 days since the estimated delivery date and still no sign of the parcel. Tracking information says it’s scheduled for delivery on the 1st July, which was yesterday.
This is a time sensitive print, and a week after the estimated delivery date is too much.

There was a slight delay against the estimated despatch date, and unfortunately the courier was then unable to deliver on the first attempt, which added further time. We do appreciate how disappointing this can be, especially if the order is needed for a time sensitive project.
As noted on our shipping support page, all production and delivery dates are estimates. If an order is needed for a specific date, we always recommend letting us know right at the start, so we can monitor the progress more closely and advise where possible.
