I had researched for about 2 weeks, trying to find a app that does what it claim to do, without a lot of complicated stuff. I finally settled on VSDuplicateImageFinder. It works just like it should. I can even click on a image and see the full image without me having to go to MyPhotos on my computer.
But their Support Team is amazing. Lost my register code and was helped, no problem. The are the Best, and Fantastic app. The Fee is very reasonable. KUDOS!!

The product works as expected and, unlike its competitor, it’s very fast thanks to its caching system once the first scan is done.
I also had an issue with the latest version of the software, but their support team quickly found the cause and fixed it.
Great product and great support — highly recommended!

I've been using MindGems products for many years, particularly the photo and file duplicate finder applications.

I use Foldersize, Fast Duplicate File Finder, and Duplicate Image Finder. All of them are easy to install and use. Foldersize really helps identify where to focus your efforts to free up disk space.
Their tech support has been very responsive to any questions that I have asked while using their tools and to any suggestions I have made for future improvements.
I definitely recommend these tools!

I was NOT able to install the program. I emailed the company 3 times over 10 days and no response. I finally figured out it was a problem with my anti-virus and was able to fix it on my own. I got a return email from customer service about 12 days after my first email, apologizing and claiming it had been in their spam folder. Bottom line, the product is great, but customer service is very bad. If your job is handling customer emails, you better be checking spam folders every day. Funny that they only responded once I posted my initial bad review.

I have tried many, many duplicate file finder programs in the past, some have been good, others, not so much. This is clearly the best application I have seen to date. I can't take advantage of the auto-check feature, only because of the complexity of my hard drive storage habits, but I would recommend this to anyone who needs to clean up their files.

I’ve been using Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder (VSDIF) for a while now, and it’s been a huge help in cleaning up my messy photo library. I had thousands of images spread across different folders, including a ton of duplicates and slight variations, and this tool made the whole process of finding and removing them so much easier.

What really impressed me is how it doesn’t just look for exact duplicates—it can spot images that are visually similar, even if they’ve been cropped or edited a bit. This is super helpful because I tend to end up with different versions of the same photo after editing, and VSDIF catches them all.

The program is fast and accurate, even with a large number of files, and it handles different file formats really well—including RAW files, which I appreciate since I shoot a lot with my DSLR. You can rarely find such robust tools and good support nowadays.

I purchased Folder Size and had some issues with Japanese special characters. They fixed the issue in a day and even sent me a custom version to use until they release an official update. This tool is very good and gives you detailed information about the distribution of your disk space. The charts make it very easy to spot large files and folders.

Very satisfied both with Folder Size and MindGems.

Whelp, it was time for a little spring cleaning of my laptop. Having become quite tired of having to either hover over each folder or right clicking on it and going to properties to find the size of the folder I was quite delighted to find the app Folder Size from Mind Gems. Not only does it display all of the folders with sizes in one list but it automatically organizes them by size so you can quickly go into the large ones and clean out, move or delete unwanted or unneeded sub folders and files. It is a great tool and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Very good tools and website. I am so happy that they provide the Folder Size application for free. I have a small SSD on my main drive and constantly need to free up space for the system. This tool is a lifesaver. It displays all folders sizes on the system and you can easily see where the wasted space is. The charts make it very easy to spot the large folders and files.
Some reports are not available in the free version, but it has sufficient functionality to free up disk space easily.

Got both the audio and photo duplicate finders and they are simply amazing. You can find remixes and variations of the same song across different audio formats with Audio Dedupe. The duplicate image finder works in the same way for photos. It can find similar images regardless of the image format. I tried many duplicate finders and these are simply the best.
On top of all they provide a standard duplicate finder that can find exact duplicates in any format for free.
Support is very qualified too - initially my antivirus tool was blocking access and I could not run a scan, but they pointed the problem right away. Highly recommended - great tools to organize your songs and photos.

I've been using Audio DeDupe, Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder, and Fast Duplicate File Finder for over 10 years and they've been a lifesaver.

My family's lifetime collection has ballooned again to contain almost 58,000 images and 69,000 songs, so you can imagine how long it would take to sort through them all manually (weeks or maybe months).

I especially like the ability to select the percentage similarity when running an automated, visual comparison of images. (First I go for exact matches and then run it a few more times with decreasing match requirements.)

And the Pro version of the image finder scans network drives and deletes empty folders for only $15 more. All in all, these are great products that have been reliable over the years, and given the time savings, it's a steal!

BTW, I've had great support too on the very few occasions that I've needed it.

(BTW, I've read the negative reviews about price escalation from standard to pro versions. Complaining about $15 more for a ton more functionality? I can only assume these are paid, fake reviews.)

I saw the negative reviews here, but nevertheless purchased the Duplicate Image Finder tool as the demo was really good. I was a bit worried, but it had positive reviews on other web sites. I see no issues so far. The tool works as promised, the license was delivered immediately. Can't comment on the support as I didn't need to talk to them yet. I will update my review if I have to, but so far I am happy with the purchase - the tool is really way better than others that I tested.

I was looking for a tool that would find image duplicates and 'almost duplicates'. Found "Duplicate Image Finder" @ mindgems.com.
I found two earlier reviews on TrustPilot here that were both quite negative, but I decided to try the free demo also as the features shown on their Website seemed great and were matching my requirements more than 100%. The demo worked great (of course it was crippled, that's normal of course) and it gave a great impression of the capabilities. I contacted the company with some more questions, and they were quick to respond and very cooperative and friendly. After some more testing, I decided to purchase the tool and while I'm still testing all the possibilities, I must admit that everything is as promised and very fast (after the initial scan). Also, after my purchase, I had some more questions and suggestions and their responses were always quick and honest. I must admit that now I've tried the tool, I don't understand the earlier negative reviews. Highly recommended to give this a try.
Note: I noticed they also have a similar tool to find 'almost duplicates' for audio files (Audio Dedupe)!

After ten years of using their products and one recent misfire on ordering, no attempt was made to correct the situation. I ordered the standard version and wanted the professional. They told me since I checked the user agreement box they were not obligated to process any kind of return, exchange or upgrade. What was recommended to me, was to additionally purchase the professional edition. So I would be paying yet again and more for the “upgrade”.
