My PC hardware shop of choice

I have been ordering PC parts from Mindfactory for myself and friends for around 8 years and almost never had any issues. They are most often one of the cheapest stores for any PC parts, the shipping times are fast enough and if there are any issues the support is reasonably fast.

Two things that came up were, that an NVMe drive was silently made worse by the manufacturer and mindfactory hadnt updated the page yet and a ryzen CPU box (just the box, not the processor) was a bit squished and in both cases they offered a fast exchange.

They also make sure to pack HDDs VERY well with lots of plastic bubble wrap, so they dont get damaged during shipping (looking at you, amazon)

Solid! Good support.

Good hardware provider with decent range of products. The prices for some products are really good and in generell they are ok.
I had some problems with one of my products (VGA) which after some forth and back was resolved. During that they were always friendly and help orientated.

Poor Packaging and Careless Response

I am pretty shocked by the careless packaging of my recent order of several 18+ TB HDDs. The inadequate protection led to visible damage to the packaging and direct contact of the hdd's hardplastic case with the package floor, compromising the integrity of the items.

The response received, suggesting I buy from a competitor, is unprofessional and dismissive of the issue.

This is something I never expected from such a famous computer hardware store.

I suggest you don't ever order your HDD's or similar Hardware here.

Very good customer service

My PC didn´t boot when I first built it and it took me a long time to figure out what the problem was. In the meantime I first sent back the mainboard, since I thought that it was causing the problem and I received my money back quickly without any issues. Then I found out that my Power Unit was too weak and because the 14/30 day warranty was already over I asked for their goodwill to take the item back anyway. They did and their customer service was again quick and very friendly. I then bought the right PSU from them but it still didn´t work. After testing with other GPU´s I figured out that this was the culprit and again tried to send it back. I received erverything back, no issues. So, although I had problems with the item itself, their customer service was top notch!

Awesome Service

The company was very friendly very forthcoming and just overall left a good experience behind. I did buy computer parts there twice. Spend about 3k in total. But still after the "Gewährleistung" ended the company was able to help me and assist in Warranty claims with the Manufacturer of my Graphics Card.
Added Bonus:
They usually reply super fast I once wrote them a message and within 13 Hours they did respond. That time varies but still they seem to be quite capable.
As I'm still in the Process of the Warranty issue with the graphics card this might be updated if

Negative 1 star is deserved

Absolutely terrible customer service. PC came with faulty components and went into more than a month long debate via emails telling them that it's wrong and them saying it's fine even though the PC was already sent to them and have been telling me that they have tested it multiple times (liars) then 1 day they send me a message confirming the error while the error happens exactly at the boot step, this happens after 40 days of me purchasing the PC. Keep in mind that I paid +200 Euros on top of the hardware cost for them to check the PC before sending it, they didn't check and sent faulty parts. So basically their "kontrolle" service is a scam. I'm never touching this service ever again and anyone reading this and you want to try them, please find yourself an alternative.

Lies about product availibilty
Customer support is useless and gave more stress then answers and solutions.
Lies about prioirity just to take extra money from customers.
Delays in shipping for made up reasons.

My experience with Mindfactory

Alright, so I've been buying a lot of components from them, yet I haven't written a review of them.

They always delivered the components I bought, and I haven't had an issue. My PC is mostly built with the items I bought from there, and I'm also planning on upgrading the CPU. My brother also bought most of his parts from there. He is actually the person who recommended me this website in the first place.

Delivery
They have a standard delivery fee of 8,99€, however if your item's price is higher than 150€ and you're shopping at 0-6AM (MET, Germany), the delivery fee gets reduced to 0€ (This only applies for DHL). There are a few restrictions though.
It didn't really take that long for the items to arrive, I kinda forgot, but I know it usually took 1-3days.

Sales
They have 3 different sections where items are on sale. First is "MindStar".
In this section, multiple random items can be on sale. If I'm not mistaken, they can enter or leave the sale any day, there is no specific date the sale will end. Sometimes a lot of items are there, sometimes it's pretty empty.

Next up "DAMN!-Deals"
Here you will see a bunch of brands listed. Or not, it can be different at times. It can go from empty to a lot. The items for each brand can also be different, going from just one to a lot, like more than 20 items.

And last, "SchnäppShop"
In this section are items that were returned by a customer. These items then get repaired and controlled. Please note that these items have been used, so it could be possible that the packaging could be missing.

Mindfactory also has a few promotions, where buying certain items gives you a game or cashback or something else. But besides that, they also offer a service where they build your PC so you don't have to(or parts, example: BIOS update and CPU onto motherboard).

That's it. My review. Most information I wrote down should be true, however if I find out that something is false, I'll correct it.

If you want to waste your time debating…

If you want to waste your time debating their employees about defective products and them refusing in any way they can to replace it and saying "no faults or defects were found" this is the right place for you.
Absolute joke of a company, just buy something on amazon and have any problem you might have handled with 0 questions asked.

Customer service is terrible

Before this everything was okay. But this time I purchased a GPU which crashes on specific workloads and is basically useless to me. Sent it for warranty, got a new one back, same issue. Sent it back again, got the same card back with the statement - Software driver issue, not our problem. So I am stuck with a useless thing which I paid good money for. All I wanted was a refund.

Great customer service

Almost 1 year after my whole PC was bought, the Power Unit started to make some weird noise. I contacted Mindfactory for help and they gladly changed the entire Power Unit with a new one! Not only they suggested it, but they also were very quick with sending it (They received a new Unit on Friday, sent it right away and I got it on Saturday! I was really expecting to be without PC entire weekend but they surprised me).

Für mich absolut in Ordnung

Zur Info:
Diese Bewertung betrifft nur den Umgang mit meiner Person und das Gespräch mit dem Mitarbeiter bei Mindfactory!
Zum PC selbst, zur Lieferung und tatsächlicher Leistung und Zustand, kommt gesondert eine Bewertung nach erhalt des PCs.

Am 13.07.23 habe ich auf eigene Faust einen PC zusammengestellt, der meiner Meinung nach genau passend für meine Bedürfnisse war. Dachte ich zumindest. Da ich mich nicht wirklich auskenne, habe ich einfach Komponenten ausgesucht, die jeweils am besten bewertet waren oder bei diversen Vergleichen gut abgeschnitten haben.
Am 14.07.23 rief ich, mit der Frage zu einem der Komponenten, beim Kundenservice an. Die Folge daraus war eine Beratung, wie ich sie selten erlebt habe. Nachdem ich gefragt wurde, wofür ich den PC genau brauche, folgte ein knapp 40-minütiges, sehr Informatives Beratungsgespräch, bei dem mir alles genau erklärt wurde. Nicht nur "nimm das statt dem, ist besser", sondern wo die Vor- und Nachteile der einzelnen Komponenten bei meiner Wahl liegen.
Nach der Umstellung einiger Komponenten war der PC perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse zusammengestellt - und nein es ist nicht alles teurer geworden! ". Der Preis war im gleichen Rahmen wie bei meiner Zusammenstellung, halt nur mit besser zusammenarbeitenden und aktuellen Komponenten. Somit bin ich am aktuellsten Stand und nicht so wie bei meiner Wahl mit Komponenten, die zum Teil schon 3-5 Jahre alt sind bzw. nicht wirklich zusammengepasst hätten!
Es geht also auch so! Danke!

Bewusst länger Zeit gelassen und immer noch keine Probleme.

On 07/13/23 I put together a PC on my own, which I thought was exactly right for my needs. At least I thought so. Since I don't really know my way around, I simply selected components that were rated the best or did well in various comparisons.
On 07/14/23 I called customer service with a question about one of the components. The result was a consultation that I have seldom experienced. After I was asked what exactly I need the PC for, an almost 40-minute, very informative consultation followed, in which everything was explained to me in detail. Not just "take this instead of that because is better", but where the pros and cons of each component lie in my choice.
After changing some components, the PC was perfectly configured for my needs - and no, not everything has become more expensive! ". The price was acceptable in the same range as my compilation, just with better working together and current components. So I'm up to date and not like my choice with components, some of which are already 3-5 years old or. didn't really go together!
So that's how it works! Thanks!
