Ordered from MA a few months ago. Started assembling the product, only then to see there was an incorrect coloured piece and I had to return it. The returns process was such a headache (was asked to personally drop it off to Silverdale), that I didn’t bother reordering that product again.

Thought to give them another shot and ordered a different item more recently, fully missing it was through a marketplace seller because they’re called “Mighty Ape group”. Utterly misleading to say the least. The shipping was delayed (I.e., sent on the day it was “expected” to arrive) and now it’s stuck at customs for over a week - the exact reason I avoid buying through marketplace sellers!

There is a total lack in transparency, and when I’ve contacted CS about this they’ve responded with a screenshot that ‘supposedly’ is from the time of me ordering that states the product is sent from an overseas supplier. I’ll take their word for it, even though I know for a fact I wouldn’t have purchased if that was listed.

Don’t bother. What once was reliable has now become infiltrated with marketplace sellers that are useless.

Was once a great company & I would have spent literally thousands over the years, however everything started going downhill as soon as they stuffed the website, put up with this until they screwed over their Primate members recently, cancelled membership & no longer shop with them, terrible buisness ethics, the losses they're going to suffer from mismanagement is incredible good luck to them.

i purchased a projector from this company $1400 dollar
a week later it turned up, and they had sent the wrong product a wifi photo frame, which i had to send back
customer service is crap with cut and pasted replies without even addressing the issue they made me gat a signed affidavit by a JP which i had to wait for 2 hours at the library 2 weeks later still have not recieved a refund and customer support now tell me i have it but will not provide any bank or account details as to were thay put it and i have not recieved it. when i do get a reply its just a cut and paste , of we are very sorry about this weres my bloody money shit company beware of dealing with them

Primate customers used to have free delivery. This was a major perk and would often overlook that mighty ape was slightly more expensive for the quick and free delivery.

Now every item under $30 pays a delivery charge, even for primate customers. This is for every item - ie add 10x $20 items to your basket and pay 10x delivery fees.

This change will signal the end of the company. Only good thing is they will refund the primate charge when you complain.

Product really good quality. Delivery was fast. Ordered in the afternoon delivered next day. Auckland to Ashhurst.

Extremely disappointing experience with Mighty Ape Marketplace - such a shame.

I purchased a Dell Precision 3630 clearly advertised as including an NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super graphics card. The computer supplied did not contain the advertised graphics card. The seller later acknowledged that the listing was incorrect.

Despite this being a straightforward “not as described” issue, Mighty Ape has not provided a prompt or decisive resolution. . Instead, I have been repeatedly directed to their internal marketplace process while they “investigate with the seller.” Communication has been slow and resolution efforts have lacked urgency.

More concerning, the seller issued return labels containing inaccurate customs declarations — one declaring the item as a “gift”, and another declaring the value as $1. These declarations did not reflect the true nature or value of the goods.

Using such documentation could have exposed me to risk if questioned by customs authorities, and may have resulted in the shipment being held or delayed for an extended period. I declined to use these labels for that reason.

Purchasing through a major NZ retailer’s marketplace should provide oversight, accountability, and consumer protection. In this case, responsibility has effectively been pushed back onto the third-party seller while I have been left to escalate the matter myself. 8 days on, no resolution and Mighty Ape is not responsive.

Based on this experience, the marketplace’s lack of responsiveness and its handling of my statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act is sufficient for me to shop elsewhere in future.

It was easy to order online and to make payment. Delivery was amazing! Emails received for each step of the way, and a very fast delivery. Ordered Fri. 13/2, delivered Mon. 16/2. Would definitely use Mighty Ape again and recommend to others.

Absolutely terrible website these days. Ridiculous shipping prices.

My parcel disappeared and Noone seems to know why. I guess my grandson has to miss out till I find an alternative. Really poor service.

THEY TAKE FOR EVER TO SEND YOUR ORDERS. IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS IN MY CASE. HOPELESS SERVICE..

So usually mighty ape deliver my orders quickly and efficiently and I'm almost always happy with the result.
This time however I spent over $200 on 2 items from Zeaway and have been extremely disappointed.
The cat tree I purchased is so unstable I've had to weigh it down with kettle bells and within 24hrs a piece of it had snapped whilst the cat was playing.
The customer service centre said they would send me a replacement part and 6 days later it arrived.
The cat wheel I purchased hasn't even shown up. Zeaway sent me the wrong item, a leg pillow.
Now whilst trying to get the correct item sent I have had to repeat that I want the correct item sent, and not a refund, about 5 times!
After saying they were sending the wheel, I was then told a few emails later that I need to wait for them to collect the wrong item, before they send the cat wheel. Like somehow I'm at fault and should wait.
I gave my weekend availability and nothing was arranged.
I'm furious at how difficult it is to get what I have paid for. Once this is settled I'll be making sure to avoid Zeaway as a seller. Its been over 2 weeks since the initial order and I still don't have the wheel. My cat is getting fat!!
I suggest you all avoid this seller, unless you want the same hassle!
