Unbelievable and neverending problems with invoicing
Don't order on Microsoft Press Store if you are outside the US, or if you are not a private customer.
If you are ordering from outside the US or need an Invoice.. you don't really want to order from them.
I did the mistake of ordering in the Microsoft Press Store to get 2 Book+ebook bundles. Don't do it. Order the book in your local reseller (or Amazon) and live without the Ebook if no one else sells it.
They only offer email support, and the Microsoft Press Store post-selling support is carelessness, answers emails after many days (if they answer at all), and only answer 1 email every 3/4 ones.
For an order placed the 11 of June, I've not yet received (13 of August!) the invoice for my order.
I've written countless emails to them, but still nothing. The best answer I've got is "be advised that due to system migration we are facing some issue, we will be able to provide you an invoice once our system are up".
I'm supposed to believe that in 2018 it takes months to "migrate" the invoicing system? Or that it takes 2 months to generate an invoice?
Isn't an online store supposed to send invoices to its customers?
This is utterly ridiculous.
Worst of all, they provide you fields to write distinct "Ship To" and "Bill To" addresses. I've discovered after many emails with Fedex and the Customs office, that the Customs invoice (yes you need to pay customs duties if you order from outside US) is wrong because Pearson Education (the company managing the Microsoft Press Store) wrote wrong information inside the AWB (they wrote the "Ship To" address instead of "Bill To" everywhere inside the documents).
Thanks to this, we now have a fiscally invalid and inconsistent Customs invoice, and the shipping company (Fedex) is asking 84€ to correct the Customs invoice because the error is not on their part (unfortunately neither on mine, it is Pearson Education who has written the wrong heading on the AWB).
Because of this, I currently have wrong Customs invoice (because of the wrong AWB from the Press Store), and no invoice at all of the order itself.
thanks Microsoft Press Store and Pearson Education, your service is so bad that is nearly a fraud. Ok, I've at least received the books, so it is not completely a fraud.. But still there is something fishy in their inability to produce an Invoice.
Stay away from this store.
I whish I could give zero starts to the Microsoft Press Store, but sadly there is no such option in Trustpilot.
UPDATE: after "only" 2 months, I've finally received the invoice, without a single word of apologize.
