I've had this insurance less than a…

I've had this insurance less than a month and they've already denied a simple Echo. A drug seeker on the street corner gets better care than that. I switched back for the 1st of May to my other insurance.

Cobra Insurance with Meritain health

I enrolled in COBRA and paid the full $1,500 premium, which was accepted without issue. Despite this, my insurance was never reinstated, and every claim submitted by my healthcare providers has been denied because my coverage shows as cancelled.

I have called five times and spoken with multiple representatives across Aetna, Meritain, and COBRA services. Three separate escalation tickets were supposedly submitted to reinstate my coverage, yet nothing has been resolved. Meritain has taken no action to correct the issue, and the lack of follow‑through is unacceptable.

Because of their failure to provide the coverage I paid for, I am now being billed by my healthcare providers for services that should have been covered. I am requesting a full refund of the $1,500 for the insurance I never received.

Their COBRA service has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever encountered. It feels like being trapped—forced to rely on a system that takes your money but does not deliver on its promises.

Would like to get rides to appointments…

Would like to get rides to appointments that are important i had issues with my last pregnancy so I am trying to go to every dr appointments scheduled. With this child. Scheduled medcab ride week ago app said I was getting picked up at 9 . Then app said it was looking for transportation for me. I will now have to stay at a friend's and have my kid miss school for 2 days cause this.

I am a local metro Detroit neurosurgeon…

I am a local metro Detroit neurosurgeon who provides care for Meridian patients but they have not paid their bill for services rendered by me for over 10 months. This is unacceptable and patients should be aware of these malicious business practices!

Very happy person…

Ok first today I had some Norco called in from the ER, before I had to pay for it fine I did I was in pain needed it, today I had problems with getting it filled, I go to pick it up no payment I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY, so THANK YOU MERIDIAN MEDICAID NOW I CAN SLEEP TONIGHT WITHOUT PAIN YOUR THE BEST

Meridian I have been with for months

Meridian I have been with for months, now I have a broken leg. And they denied all my physical therapy for 2 months so far. Every number I called for my insurance has been denied. I have literally cried sweat and tears going from and doctor to doctor to doctor for my broken leg and getting denied. And the best they can come up with is putting a 38 year old woman inside a nursing home to be locked up inside and never see daylight again. And having a 70 year man demand sex inside a nursing home and have people walk around naked pissed and shit all over themselves. Nurse do nothing to stop it

Rough Start with Meridian

I've signed up for Meridian a couple months ago. Still waiting for a physical card to get to me. I've ordered a couple. A day ago I got a welcome to meridian tape recorded message. A provider is building a tab for me and I'm still waiting on their card. If I could go back I'd never have signed up with them.

Customer service is absolutely…

Customer service is absolutely atrocious. They claim I'm over MME but I'm at level. They also claim I need 2 pre-authorizations when I only need one. They operate completely outside DEA guidelines. Someone should go to jail.

Worst insurance plan ever

Worst insurance plan ever. They deserve 0 stars. They don’t cover any of my medicine while being pregnant with severe morning sickness I had to pay out of pocket. They also cut my 1 year old son from medical coverage, which is unbelievable. I should have stayed with county care. DO NOT GO WITH MERIDIAN. They will leave you for dead.

By far one of the worst customer…

By far one of the worst customer service provider and failed website. I have been trying to login to my online portal since yesterday and it gives me some failed timestamp error! Called customer service and I am asked to enter an extension regardless to what choice I make ( member services). The entire Insurance Insurance lacks intregrity. The have hired most people who sound zoned out or just read scripts back to you. So much back and forth and no intregrity. The "Suits" running the health care industry and the government do not care about people. They care about profits and the result is people fending for themselves while they leech off of our taxes and grants.

You call this Health Care?

Awful insurance that doesn't even know what providers takes this insurance. The medical providers and facilities database they provide and use is a straight up lie. I called about 20 doctor's and therapist offices listed on their database only to be told it's not accepted. They do nothing to update the information and when asked, they say "the doctor didn't update the coverage info." Calling meridian doesn't help because they use the same database to suggest where to go. I live within 15 miles of the center of Chicago and how is this acceptable, I do not understand. Doctors that takes meridian in woman's health and behavioral health department is the textbook example of medical malpractice and gaslighting and they will refuse to adjust meds or run any tests. I am in need of trauma specialized therapist for my severe PTSD, but no therapist in 50 miles radius is covered by Meridian.
Medical rides they provide is outsourced using a taxi company and Meridian have no control whatsoever on the quality of service or safety of the patients. The driver frequently picked me up was rude, hostile, and would break at least 5 traffic laws per ride. I always feared for my life when he shows up and when I communicated this to meridian, they said it's entirely up to the taxi company to send you who and they don't have any power to stop the company from sending the same driver.
They keep sending me unwanted emails and even after unsubscribing 10+ times from 10+ emails, they still send emails. This is actually illegal in US which makes this even funnier joke. The links from the email are broken half of the times and there is no practical info in it.
I do not recommend this to anyone and the government should be ashamed that they call this public health care.

Rubbish/Terrible insurance plan

Rubbish/Terrible insurance plan. Save yourself the stress and don't ever enroll anyone you love with this plan. Since Meridan doesn't state this up front I'll inform the people.

They DON'T COVER contacts
ONLY EYEGLASSES so if you only wear contacts this isn't the plan for you.

Meridian just switched to "SafeRide"…

Meridian just switched to "SafeRide" for NEMT . Waddaya know , my ride was a no show . I guess that's as safe as you can get when there is no vehicle to get into . Here's a hint people - all the med. coverage in the world won't do any good if we can't get to the Doctor .

The absolute worst provider ever

The absolute worst provider ever. Sent messages no response. Called the person who answered the phone not professional. Transferred me to a manager and of course no answer and could not leave a message. It is the most disorganized provider I have ever encountered. I was trying to get a new Behavioral Health Appointment and they are disorganized for even an appointment. They just plain don’t care. Thanks goodness I am not suicidal because if I would this would have pushed me over the edge.

Transportation "benefit"

Meridian offers transportation to appointments...the company they use cancels my appointments without notifying me..so I miss needed appointments, then tells me they aren't responsible...it is a "benefit" you offer, so it IS your responsibility to assure it is competent..which it is not!! I must walk 6 miles to my EMG due to their incompetence, Dr's offices bill you anyway if you don't cancel within an hour of the appointment, but my insurance provided ride doesn't show up!!

Meridian has fail the people.

What went wrong is Meridian Transportation. I’m agreeing with everyone on here. Meridian requires a Level of need, is not working because Meridian is not faxing the document to the Doctor for certification. I can’t get transportation without the document. Miss life threatening surgery . This is a fail company since the pandemic. Shouldn’t be in business serve no one, I don’t understand how the government can let this happen. Bad businesses practice and a death trap. Just admit you can’t serve the people, step aside you deserve it.

Denied an MRI for a young patient now suffering for 4 months and unable to walk without crutches and a brace...4 MONTHS!

They have denied an MRI for a young patient with a knee injury and said patient has been suffering for 4 MONTHS! Went back to ER and condition is getting worse. MRI was recommended but Meridian no longer works with any of our doctors. Only 'possible' way to get the patient help is to switch doctors, but it takes months to see a new doctor. If I could sue them, I WOULD!

I’ve called 6 different times

I’ve called 6 different times, talked to several people my client called and authorized me to speak on his behalf gave all the necessary information, and they are still not letting me speak what we need to get figured out with his plan. Every one of the workers I spoke to were the most unprofessional and rude people I’ve ever spoken to in my life. No help was given as we needed from this call. Horrible experience with this company. One of the workers I spoke to kept sighing at every thing I’d ask as if it was an inconvenience for him having to do his job.
