It was horrible journey experience

It was horrible journey experience. I was relocting from Bradford to London, I mentioned it during booking but still

1. Driver arrived 15 minute late

2. He rushed me from the time he arrived, I am moving so, it is normal that stuffs loading will take time

3. It took only 45 minute to load all the stuffs, I thought he would be bit understanding as my flat is at first floor I have to bring things down and also I was fasting.

4. While parking I told him it was at double yellow line would he like to park other place, he told me he can manage but keep shouting on me towards stuffs loading, I was fasting, doings things my own, I believe it unprofessional and rude

5. He had a operation on his right hand, I was understanding for that and tried to did all I could do by my self but his behaviour towards me was too rude and unexpected.

6. Even when we arrived at the destination, he parked at the petrol station which is next to my house and there he again keep rushing, though it was written that car can be parked there for 45 minute.

7. He also keep complainig that I have too much stuffs where I mentioned during booking this could be a possibility as I am shifting. But, yelling for that is unexpected and rude.

7. Overall, this is the worst journey experience in 3 years of my UK life.

Quite different then price paid

There’s no point phoning up for a quote as their call centre is in India and quoted a cheaper price than what the driver had on the meter, so we had to pay quite a bit more than what was quoted. Won’t be using again unfortunately.

I took exactly thr same journey 2 days…

I took exactly thr same journey 2 days in a row roughly the same time on both days Friday there was much more traffic on the road & for an up down journey with a min wait fro smorgasbord cafe to chatsworth court girlington rd & back to smorgasbord cafe uncle charged me 7£ but yesterday I was sent an African driver from. Ghana he took a longer route thinking I don't know my way rou d because of my accent the wait this time was less ill say 30 secs if that but as soon as he found out I only has a tenner on me that's what the fate suddenly become when I explained what uncle charged me 7 the day before on exactly the same journey he got rude & said get out or go & complain this behaviour is unacceptable if would like an apology directly from the driver & my rightful amount of change if he desperately needed that extra 3 if he asked i would have left him thay as a tip

Tried to scam me, doubled the price

Booked a taxi on the metro app, fixed rate of £28. When the driver finally arrived, he asked if I wanted to pay cash or card, I said cash and he told me it was £62. I exited the taxi and phoned the office and they were shocked and horrified. Won’t be using again.

Terrible service…

We booked a car for 6 people the day before. We booked for 19.30 and ended up waiting outside our hotel for 20 minutes before it arrived as it was late. We had booked a return car for midnight but after 20 minutes waiting we decided to walk to cab office to see where it was. We then had to wait even longer before getting two cabs as a 6 seater never showed up. Being October it was cold waiting outside before and after our night out but luckily it wasn’t raining. There is no point in booking with this company, it means nothing.

Worst taxi company ever

I would be giving negative stars if could so My mother in law got in a taxi and the end price was £9.00 on the meter driver then changed the price to £10 which she gave him £20 he then gave her £7 change back she then questioned it to which he said coffee and laughed she then rang the office and was meant with rudeness and such disrespect then my husband contacted them on her behalf and was met with such disrespect and rudeness they told so many lies couldn't be bothered with the complaint constantly being rude phone put down, disgraceful comments made stooping incredibly low was meant to have a call back of head office but hadn't received one and when husband tried to call phone number had been blocked so used my phone and was again met with rude and disrespectful attitudes I then called myself to which I was met with rude disrespectful attitudes and screaming and shouting at me instead of been helpful and respectful considering the situation also when I said if it is not resolved I would have to take this further they replied with stop threating me I was just explaining the procedure I needed to follow.

Disgusting cigarette smoke filled cabs

Every time I take a taxi from Metro it arrives filled with cigarette smoke. It is absolutely disgusting. There are signs all over the inside of the cab saying no smoking yet the drivers sit in there puffing away and it smells like they’ve literally extinguished their the cig the moment you get in. Surely the taxi is their place of work and it is illegal to smoke in the workplace. Just love arriving at the airport for my holiday with my hair and clothes reeking of second hand smoke. AVOID!

Totally unreliable. No consideration for wheelchair users. Missed several vital dental appointments.

A HUGE thanks for the fantastic service…

A HUGE thanks for the fantastic service I received multiple times since New Year's Day ( plus 5th and 7th January 2025 ) from the people on the phone and the drivers. I needed to get to Stepping Hill and historically I have had several bad falls resulting in injuries and I am terrified of repeating it ! So in the horrendous weather I have pre booked cabs. The staff at Metro have ALL been professional, cheerful and helpful and if I could give TEN stars I would !!!! Happy New Year to you all and thanks for helping to keep me on my feet and safe ❤️ x You are all amazing x

My best taxi nowadays

I do recommend Car 7 Metro Taxi as I have experienced safe and on time journey to Manchester hospital and next one Manchester- Bradford just after op, when hospital transfer failed. I have felt safe and cared for in my dark hours. The driver has been polite, helpful and cheered me up.

I spend around £200 a month on metro…

I spend around £200 a month on metro taxis, i have an 19month who has a tantrum in the taxi which every driver will vouch for. Yesterday i got a taxi with my son from darcy lever to dean, on route we called at costa coffee and the driver said he was from little lever. He was a white driver. I had put my sons blue tryke in the boot which folds down like a pram. In my sons trantrum i forgot to get it out the boot. Three phone calls im gettin told different things via the people and to phone back and calm down when they tryin help me but yet whilst im asking them how are they helping me they cant and wont explain how when they are not doin anythin. They are refusing to phone the driver to ask him to drop it off at the rank so i can collect it or have a driver drop it off to me. They aint cheap them trykes and now i have to carry my son. This review is first of many and i will report this to the council to licensing at 9am, trading standards for lack of duty of care from the company.

Rude driver…

21/6/24 booked usual 8 pm taxi to take me to work at care home. The driver was very demeaning and rude when I got in cab. A single lady shouldn't have to be frightened of being alone in a taxi. If I hadn't been running late I would have got out and phoned another company. Standards are slipping. Shame for the decent drivers with metro.

Always OVERCHARGING PEOPLE

Always OVERCHARGING PEOPLE. Once I needed it for a short way and they refuse to take me saying it was close and I could go walking! I said under the rain? Please guys horrible customer service! RUBBISH COMPANY

Absolutely awful customer service from…

Absolutely awful customer service from the people who take your booking on the phone. Worst taxi service I have ever used. I would not recommend. In particular, do not rely on this service if you have somewhere to be at a particular time. They are not reliable.
