I had an extremely disappointing…

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Melitta UK and their partner Coffee Classics in the UK.

I've been using Melitta coffee machines for the past 5 years, but once the machine is out of warranty, it becomes a problem. Melitta refuses to offer any assistance or support.

Upon contacting Melitta UK, they directed me to Coffee Classics for out-of-warranty repairs. I sent my machine to Coffee Classics UK with the understanding that it would take 7-10 days for repairs. However, it took a staggering 40 days to get it back, and even then, it was still not functioning. To make matters worse, it stopped working again the very next day. I had to send it back for further repairs. Despite my complaints to Melitta UK about the poor service from Coffee Classics, they showed no concern. In fact, they instructed Coffee Classics not to accept the machine back and to cease repairs. As a result, I am left with a faulty machine and a bill of £250.

Both Josh at Coffee Classics and Belindar at Melitta may appear friendly, but they are utterly unhelpful. It's evident that their primary concern is profit. I strongly advise against dealing with either of them and recommend avoiding purchasing Melitta products altogether.

Here are some downsides of the Melitta coffee machine:

You cannot add an extra shot to your coffee.
You are limited to the machine's preset strength settings, which may not be sufficient if you prefer your coffee strong.
The beans in the hopper do not slide into the grinder automatically, resulting in weak coffee and excessive bean consumption.
Melitta offers no assistance, leaving you to struggle with the beans for every cup of coffee.
The machine is quite noisy.
Warranty cannot be extended, and Melitta refuses to repair machines after the warranty expires. They instead recommend a repair center like Coffee Classics, which proves to be ineffective in fixing the issues.

I recently purchased a refurbished…

I recently purchased a refurbished Melitta Barista TS coffee machine as a gift for my friend. However, when my friend opened the box, they were disappointed to find that the machine was used, dirty, and without a water filter and some other accessories!!!!!
Accordong to packung and information in the website of Melitta the machine should have Bluetooth functionality, but there is no Bluetooth option in this machine.

I bought a Melitta EPour

I bought a Melitta EPour, and the website’s claim of “The Taste Of Perfection” couldn’t be further from the truth. The optimal temperature is no way near hot enough. Every single cup has been tepid. Lukewarm at best.

I can appreciate products sometimes have faults, but this issue has rendered the machine unusable.

Then things went from bad to worse when I contacted customer services. It was so difficult to get a response from Melitta, and when I did, it was just generic email signature after generic email signature, doing little or nothing to help.

A truly terrible experience from start to finish. I’d give this product 0 stars if I could.

I have been searching the perfect bean…

I have been searching the perfect bean to cup machine for months. I have found it in the Melitta Solo.
It was well under my budget and have a become a better barista.
Good bye Costa/Starbucks.

drainaval gives constant problems and has to be replaced every year.

I have owned this machine for about 7 years and it surely is the most unreliable piece of equipment in our household. I am now on number 5 (at £25.00 a go) of the atrociously designed "drainage valve" that causes the hot water to pour all over the worktop instead of the cup. For goodness sake, can you Germans not redesign something that is proven to be bad in all this time.

I bought a Melitta Caffeo CI bean to…

I bought a Melitta Caffeo CI bean to cup coffee machine a month ago, and have to say I paid £545.00 for a totally disappointing machine. I contacted melitta via email to say the coffee is barely warm! Their advice; warm the cup, try pinching the milk hose slightly, leave the milk out of the fridge to get to room temperature. So I have tried each and everyone over the past weeks, even the Americano is Luke warm and not hot enough, so it’s nothing to do with milk parts. Guys, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, wished I’d have gone Argos and bought one like my previous DeLonghi.

Purchased a Barista T at the end of…

Purchased a Barista T at the end of 2016. Let me start by saying that the machine is great at making coffee when it works. Unfortunately, it has not worked properly for much of the last 3 years. My initial machine was faulty from the beginning and had to be returned for a repair. The repair process with Melitta UK is very long winded and results in you not having a machine for a few weeks. The machine was returned but still had a fault. Melitta UK gave me an alternative machine instead. Unfortunately, this machine developed faults too and had to be returned. In total, I have returned coffee machines 3 times and has still had faults (some I learned to live with). Recently, the unit just gave up the ghost. Melitta UK have said they are unable to repair it as it is now out of warranty. I have not had a single 1 year period where the machine has worked correctly but the 2 year warranty ends 2 years after the initial purchase even though repairs had been made since then. Really not happy with Melitta, I certainly will not be buying from them again. A £800 coffee machine should work way better than this.

Purchased a Melitta Aromafresh

Purchased a Melitta Aromafresh, but coffee luke warm, despite de-scaling twice, asked for advice on their Facebook page & received no reply.
Phoned their Telford HQ & did receive a replacement coffee maker.
BUT the coffee is still tepid & I use coffee whitener, if you used milk it would be cold!
It must be an inherent fault on this machine.
Advice: Dont buy.

Starts off well...ends badly...AVOID!

Similar to others, machine now has a horrible leak from the non-removable side. It varies between dirty water (excess I assume) and what looks like pure espresso. So it can't be brewing properly anymore!

Sent away to be repaired for something else, then it came back with this leak.

Even the repair process was a disgrace, they tried to tell me the machine was out of warranty so the repair was a "goodwill gesture" - even though I reported it to them whilst still under warranty and it took THEM a long time to come back to arrange the repair finally. The original emails were all on their system, so I had proof of this.

So straight from the start they were telling lies, I should have known what to expect in the future..

So I sent the machine away finally. It was "repaired" they told me, and fully cleaned and serviced. The machine came back very dirty, so some internal investigation took place, it was found something was missed (you don't say!) so they collected and took away again. The second time it came back much cleaner BUT...there was now a different fault, it was leaking constantly from the non-removable side! I got onto Melitta, but of course they were not interested. They gave me the cost for an OUT OF WARRANTY repair! Amazing!

So they broke the machine either during transit, or when doing the other repair. Yet they want to charge ME for fixing it as it is now out of warranty.

They were kind enough to loan me another machine during the process, then they also had the absolute cheek to say that I had broken this machine, they received it back and it had various things broken, so they had to write it off! I could not believe what I was hearing! It has obviously broken somewhere in transit I assume, so down to courier company (Or Melitta for not sending correct packaging??)

Absolutely disgusting company to deal with.

The "Customer Relations Manager" was actually by far the worst to deal with.

This speaks volumes of the company I assume, as if the person managing customer relations acts as they do...we, as a customer, have no chance!

Brilliant machine at the start, useless now. Complete waste of money in the end and would never use this company again.

Poor customer service,staff telling lies.

Firstly, machine is very poor quality, it's developed a leak after couple of months.I have to send it to their repair company ,where it's was damaged. Melitta is promised me to resolve situation , by sending new parts-that's what they are told me in e-mail, but this is never happened , two may e-mails was ignored. Few months on and I'm still waiting. Obviously, this is my first and last purchase of Melitta brand.

Unreliable service and Web-shop

One month after ordering products from Melitta webshop, the products were not delivered.
No information concerning back orders and no answer after 3 e-mail contact, hopefully they will return my payment.
