I purchased two chokers from this seller at Wimbledon Market around August/September for £30. I was told they were handmade and crocheted by the seller, which was the main reason I decided to buy them.
However, I later discovered that the chokers appear to be made from lace trim that can be purchased by the meter for around £4.40, rather than being handmade as described. This was very disappointing, as I would not have bought them had I known this at the time.
I believe honesty is essential, especially at markets where people are specifically supporting handmade work. Misrepresenting materials or the making process is not acceptable, and I felt misled by this purchase.

Update: Following the seller’s response, I carried out further research and found the exact same finished necklaces being sold by multiple retailers internationally. This suggests the item is not uniquely handmade or crocheted by the seller, and appears to be a commercially produced product rather than made using different materials as implied.

Proceed with caution, and I would recommend doing a reverse image search before purchasing.

I saw it in Greenwich Market. There are some beautiful Christmas gifts. I bought a scarf and necklace, I loved them.
