While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Thieves

Maxpixel has stolen my photographs from pixabay, and is distributing them from their own site without credit and with their own paypal under the 'donate to author'. They also have the cheek to block adblockers and make revenue from ads!! On stolen content!

lawsuit against them

Même chose pour moi, ils ont volés mais images, que j'ai publié en ligne.

J'ai lancé une poursuite contre eux.

Same thing for me, they stole but pictures I posted online.

I filed a lawsuit against them.

I give them no stars. They stole that one star from me.

My reviews, as you'll come to know are about sites that I find have egregious administrators who steal from sites that I and many others work hard to produce and upload free-to-download content for sites like pixabay.com

Maxpixel is just another "scraper" site that take the vast majority of content from websites like Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplash and demand attribution in order to command notoriety from stolen resources. Their misappropriation is a direct violation of Pixabay Terms.

Stay away from them like the plague.
