AVOID - Waste of money and time

Waste of money and time. Again I made the mistake of signing up to something and THEN looking on Trustpilot for reviews! When will I learn?
Anyway, Match.com turned out to be a total failure - I cancelled my membership within less than a week. Very few people I sent a message to bothered to reply (less than 10%) and of those who did bother, they stopped after 1 or 2 messages. A suspiciously high percentage of the people who did message me had their profile pages terminated within minutes or hours (i.e. they were scammers I suppose). I'm not sure if Match.com itself is a scam, it probably isn't, but I am sure that it's not remotely as good as I had hoped or expected. I think it should be utterly free for a couple of weeks, but that's not an option. In fairness to Match.com, when I sent them an email asking to cancel everything, they responded quickly and refunded me most of what I had paid. So the only good thing I have to say about Match.com is that they don't mess around when you cancel, but that makes the whole thing rather pointless. Cannot possibly recommend Match.com and I urge you to steer well clear of it - they capitalise on the lonely and the vulnerable, which is sickening

I hadn't even looked at the app for…

I hadn't even looked at the app for months, forgot it was on my phone.
Then I received an unauthorized charge to my acct from match this morning.
Bank couldn't help and suggested calling the merchant, which I did.
Initially the gentleman said, "no problem with that", but when he sees that I had already deleted my acct this morning, EVERYTHING changed...now they can't refund my $ because I deleted my acct, that THEY COULD SEE WAS JUST DELETED THIS MORNING.
THEY REFUSED A REFUND FOR SOMETHING THAT I NEVER AUTHORIZED. THAT'S ROBBERY WHERE I COME FROM.
Pay attention to the fine print because they WILL f#ck you!

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. Very dishonest, you will sign up and pay for one month and they will continue taking payments as part of the "subscription " you never had. Customer service or complaints department non existent. Just a simple scam. Reported them to my bank and trading standards.

Worthless expensive website

Worthless expensive website, complete rip off!

No matter how lonely or desperate you may be, invest in Scruff or Tinder NOT match.com. They suckered me into a 6-month membership. After a day I ran out of locals in my area, and received no responses. I suspect they have dummy profiles and it’s a front to make money off of our loneliness and desire to find someone.

After asking for a prorated refund they refused and suggest I keep looking. So I’m a sucker out of $165 because of questionable advertising and shady dealings.

Check the Better Business Bureau and you’ll see the FCC is suing match.com for similar complaints.

This website is a complete rip-off! Do not subscribe.

This site was horrific for me

This site was horrific for me. When I first joined I was inundated with likes but not one person had remotely anything in common with me. Anybody I put a like on never contacted me back. Alot of the profiles were fake! After one week of talking to men who had absolutely no idea how to talk to a women, I cancelled my subscription. I started off so realistically hopefully, to dreading this site. The Bot match making service they provide was absolutely useless and of no help to me. I had great pictures, profile description etc but her advice was stuff I already knew. You need real expertise to carefully match people up and people need to interact even just to say thanks but no thanks. I actually found this site DEPRESSING!

I paid for a 6 month membership with match.com. My membership ended today. I cancelled my profile and unsubscribed. I would not recommend. I went out with 4 men in 6 months that I met on Match, their was no sparks all they were interested in was hooking up. I am not into hookups. My age preference and location preference was not correct some of the time. Also I did not like how you can not upload a picture from your phone without it going sideways. For as expensive as match.com is they should correct these features. I was just very disappointed I expected better for the price.

Worthless Match.com

Worthless Match.com
I have been on match.com before...and had pretty good luck. I meet some very amazing women, yet unfortunately they just did not work out..that's life right.
So I returned to match in July 2021...and it has been nothing but worthless. Worst 160.00 dollars spent for a 6month subscription. I have messaged over 200 hundred women in that time period....and I'll let you guess how many have responded to just a simple "Hi...would you like to chat?" Not a single one!....no ..no thank yous, euuuu..your ugle, or kiss my ass...so if you are thinking of using this site, I hope that you read this review of mine. And don't waste your money like I did...its not worth your time and money.

Stay away from Match.com they will take…

Stay away from Match.com they will take your money, they are complicated, scammer and fraudster, lie and lure you to predators. After registering with 6months payment. They will ask you for more money before you can contact your match. Match.com is a daylight robber. Be warned and stay away from their website. They don’t deserve any star rating from me.

Stay Away, Fake Fake Fake

I've paid a monthly subscription to find a mate and complete waste of time, not an even single fly. If you trying to find a specific type of woman or man on every profile (some fake) all it does wasting your money for trips, gifts, events, or birthdays. especially they dislike and hate children and refused to get married after dating within 1-2yrs. if you are trying to send a message they won't reply back to you. all profiler will cherry-picky of a suitable "SPECIAL" person.

Professional Thieves

Match.com is and should be an app that will get consistent customer interaction, considering the bloated cost of memberships. Additionally, they require an upfront payment, asking for customers to subscribe for several months at a time, which cost me $130 for 6 months. Complete transparency to understand requires me to repeat that “fee paid in full at date of subscription purchase” is manipulation at its best, charging me $130 on July 2nd for services through December 2nd. Evidently, match.com reserves the right to discontinue services in their contract with a vague explanation of whatever their interpretation if of text between clients. This communication lacks body language, tone of voice, and verbal cues that prevents a full understanding of what’s black and white. I am sure that everyone reading that has interpreted a text or email in a completely inaccurate manner than it was meant to be received. Sarcasm, for example, is a response that is legitimately understood in person only, and mostly misinterpreted between stranger text communication. Long story short, last month my account was deactivated without reimbursement of the remaining 4 months I paid for. I requested reimbursement and received a generic, vague explanation in response, explaining that they reserve the right to keep money for services not rendered upon account deactivation. Now, I know why I paid for 4 months of service on the date of purchase the subscription. Extremely inexcusable for a billion dollar company to retain this from individuals that are just getting by, and to do so in such an upside down, backhand fashion by not allowing customers to pay monthly. Especially so, when there is no intention to distribute the reimbursement funds. And what’s worse, match.com promotes larger packages for “customer discounts” and for no other reason than this. Match.come could say the larger packages save customers money, but on the contrary, I was taken for over $85 while receiving nothing but the regret of my trust in basic human dignity to not be manipulated by the system. I suggest that anyone deciding to try match.com to only use a free trial or ask to pay for one week only. I would have been better off and it’s incontestable that I’d have been better off utilizing these stolen funds as toilet paper, one Washington after the next for at least 85 wipes!

Expect this company to continue taking…

Expect this company to continue taking payments from you even after months you cancel.

I cancelled my subscription during my first month as I felt there were too many non existent profiles, basically you will write to loads and receive hardly any replies.. I have been told by others that my profile is still on there even though I am not.

Match will continue to debit your account for several months after, its a nightmare and I would definately not recommend this rip off company to anyone. £200 they have so far stolen from me.
