Hi as it was my husband birthday we…

Hi as it was my husband birthday we visited to have nice dinner with kids as there were all Indian sculptures were organised without glass and nothing mentioned like not to touch something like this as I was attracted to the carriage box which was there and I just touched it and the CEO of the masala zone had mentioned in rude manner while sitting in seat saying as ‘ don’t touch ‘ I was bit annoyed and sat in my seat and my husband called the staff this is not right behaviour and asked him
To say sorry and the staff mentioned sorry but not the actual CEO of the masala zone .

It was women’s day too I was very much disappointed with my kids and not to visit this place again . As my little one mentioned to have something organised in a glass so no one touch them . This made to write a review on them .

Women should be respected everywhere this is not a culture of ancient times where women can sit and cry . Should apologise me one day .

Ruined our Birthday Dinner night I wish everyone to boycott. No emotions.

We visited Masala Zone Piccadilly Circus to celebrate my birthday with friends and family, and what should have been a happy evening turned into a very upsetting experience because of how we were treated.

While we were near the entrance, my wife was looking at the display artifacts. They reminded her of things from back home, especially the traditional lunch box items, so she gently touched one while showing it to our children. Suddenly a man spoke very loudly and aggressively saying “Don’t touch it.” The tone was extremely rude and unnecessary.

This immediately made my wife and kids very uncomfortable and nervous. If those display items are not meant to be touched, the restaurant should clearly place a “Do Not Touch” sign or keep them in a closed glass display. There was nothing indicating that customers were not allowed to touch them.

What made the situation worse was the impact it had on my 8-year-old son. He became very upset and kept saying that if people are not supposed to touch something, there should be a sign saying so. For a child to feel that uncomfortable because of a staff member’s behaviour is unacceptable. It completely ruined the mood of what was supposed to be a birthday dinner.
I raised this with the floor manager and asked if the person who shouted could apologise. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager said he would check because the person was a “big guy.” Being a big guy does not give anyone the right to speak to customers in such a disrespectful way.

When I said I would write a review about the experience, the manager’s response was simply “Go and do it.” That level of dismissiveness and lack of basic courtesy, especially when children were involved, was shocking.
A simple apology could have fixed the situation, but instead both the staff member and the manager showed no concern for how their behaviour affected a family and young children. Very disappointing experience.

Food tasty.
Very expensive though for what you got £150 for 4 mains, 4 drinks, 1 dessert. 12.5% service charge with some of it being discretionary. I do not like the way high service charges are being added to bills as opposed to having a choice to tip.

Poor food quality and pricey drinks.

You expect a whole lot more refinement for the money charged. We ordered a mixed grill platter, amongst other dishes, that was an absolute embarrassment! The service was quick and the staff friendly, but don't expect quality food or value for money.

Disappointing Experience at Masala Zone…

Disappointing Experience at Masala Zone – Poor Customer Service

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD
I’m writing to express my disappointment following a recent visit to Masala Zone, which my husband had booked as a birthday treat for me. We had reserved the High Chai experience and brought along our 4-year-old son.

While there was a children’s menu available, our son simply wanted a cheese sandwich without chutney (as it’s normally served with chutney). We politely requested this, but were told by the first waitress that it was already prepared and the chef couldn’t make any adjustments. A second waitress then came over and confirmed the same.

I then asked whether they had bread and cheese available separately, and was told yes. So I asked if it would be possible to simply put those together as a plain cheese sandwich. I even offered to pay extra for it. Still, the request was refused.

I find it extremely disappointing that such a basic and reasonable request – especially for a young child – was met with such inflexibility. This wasn’t an off-menu or complicated order; it was a very minor adjustment. The lack of willingness to accommodate a small child’s dietary preference, particularly during a special occasion, left a very poor impression of your customer service.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that your staff are encouraged to show a little more empathy and flexibility in the future.

I wish i could give zero.

I wish i could give zero.
Went there with my wife and my 1 year old baby, the receptionist first requested us to wait till she was done with other guest and later asked me to keep the push chair near the reception as they will provide me a high chair, so once i folded the push chair, and kept it at the reception, she then tells me to take the push chair to my table as she cant keep it there now, i was surprised with their clueless attitude towards prople with push chair, just a beautiful interiors can’t get you mannerism and courtesy towards guests. When asked to unfold the pushchair again, i said i have had it enough.
The receptionist lady was very rude and least bothered. No courtesy, no manners no empathy.

Fantastic Thali Platter

Brilliant locations in Central London. Covent Garden or Piccadilly Circus. Great cocktails, Indian food and service always excellent. Go at 5.30pm pre theatre, and it’s really quiet.

The restaurant is a class in show.

The restaurant is a class in show.
However, people go to restaurent to feed themselves.

The prices are high and the portions are tiny, never seen in any other restaurents.

Therefore, for me, as one person it eat and drink there reasonably would cost me about£100, which is not worthed.

Disappointing food and stale chapaties however good ambient

I recently dined at Masala Zone in Covent Garden with my family, and while the restaurant's decor was impressive, the food quality was quite disappointing. The chapati and naan tasted stale, as if they had been pre-cooked earlier in the day or were store-bought and reheated before serving. The Lamb Rogan Josh, in particular, fell short of its description and tasted rather mediocre. The rest of the dishes were just okay, but nothing stood out as exceptional.

If you're looking for an authentic Indian dining experience, this isn't the place—I wouldn't even say the food was 10% authentic. However, if you're after a nice ambiance, it might be worth a visit. Unfortunately, the disappointing naan and chapatis really overshadowed the experience for me.

Amazing food and even better service

I cannot rave on enough about the great customer service received. My partner and I were slightly delayed to our booking but they were so accommodating and not only that, we were in a huge rush to get to our theatre show within 30 mins of entering the restaurant! Kavya got our order to us within 10 minutes and we were on our way in no time! Not only that, she also surprised me with a birthday treat completely on the house, from themselves. I’ve always loved coming here, the butter chicken and nan, the starters, the desserts, it’s all just amazing! Thank you

Food poisoning experience

All dishes are spicy - one chilly marker at least - Chilly attacks my throat and I have a coughing fit and can’t breathe properly, so I have to be careful with it. Everything is pre made and they cannot reduce the amount of chilly in a dish. My daughter cannot eat gluten so she brought a bag of cauliflower rice which is just microwaved for 2 mins. They refused to do it until we told them it was for medical reasons. I couldn’t really eat anything off the menu as I don’t eat meat. The waitress told me that everything was too spicy for me and then brought me a veg dish with beans and peas as a taster. It was ok so I had that. When it came it had paneer in it which I thought was tofu so I had a bit. Pretty tasteless really, didn’t have a sauce but it did have a lot of oil. I had it with a garlic nan and rice. The dal I ordered was way too spicy so I didn’t eat that. Disappointing meal. To top it off, about an hour after eating I started getting stomach pains. Classic Staphylococcus food poisoning symptoms ensued!! All in all a very poor experience off a pre prepared limited menu.

So dissapointing

I had high expectations with the location being in Covent garden and was very disappointed at the quality and taste of some dishes. Had a range of starters including chicken 65, fishcakes and vada pav which was ok. Some of the mains included lamb biriyani and lamb rogan josh which was also quite expensive was terrible. The curry was bland, no flavour and was very basic, I could not call it a curry at all. Just terrible for a central London location, management really need to taste the food.

Gave me food poisoning

Gave me food poisoning. Ruined our trip completely. When we complained it two weeks for them to get back to us and basically took zero responsibility and said we should have took tests. They purposely waited so long to get back to us so that we couldn't get the necessary tests as the poisoning would have passed. Please avoid.
