Just about given up on the "sparks" rewards scheme. I've tried numerous times to change my password, but the system never accepts my new one. I just get a message: "failed to verify guest token". Even... See more

The slowest return process I have ever…
The slowest return process I have ever experienced.Considering this is paid out of pocket from us, I would have thought they could have a better returns option.
Poor Customer Service
Poor Customer Service and complete disregard for customers. There was a complete disregard by customer team of trying to resolve my complaint. I visited one their main M&S Food stores in Watford today.
I was left with two very disappointed children as despite the M&S store being proudly emblazoned with England flags and football shirts banners,
After spending close to £70 in store, I was expecting to be offered a packet of Panini England football stickers which M&S are currently promoting as one of M&S's main promotions with Eat Well programme which I understand is nationwide promotion. These England football stickers was main reason we chose the M&S store over other competitors for our food shop that day.
With our kids having both already started their England team sticker collection with M&S, both kids had been enjoying collecting all of the different England players. They were looking forward to building on their sets especially as they were wearing England shirts including myself.
The experience we received from Checkout was poor as not only was I not offered any stickers. When I asked the check out assistant, and store team, I was told they had none in whole store. Given it's only a week into the World Cup tournament, this doesn't bode well.
There was no apology by staff or even any offer to resolve my issue. I would have expected much better stock especially with it being M&S's main Eat Well promotion and M&S have bedm publicizing it so widely and M&S supporting the England Football team.
I hope this is not a sign of how M&S expect people to get behind the England team and how they wish to build loyal customers through M&S promotions and brand collaborations and sponsorship.
I am seriously disappointed and reconsidering shopping with M&S in future if this is how they treat loyal customers.
Terrible
Really, really bad, as per usual. The carpet cleaning spray does absolutely nothing, and in fact makes it worse. Some of my eye shadow had gone all over the carpet and I used the stuff, and it spread it further on the floor, leaving it in an even worse state than it was before, and leaving the carpet soaking wet for hours. The instructions said you should spray it and then leave it for a few moments. What does that mean? 30 seconds? At least be more accurate on those timings. Maybe next time I will leave it for maybe 10 minutes, so it actually cleans the damn carpet. I might as well tell my mother to throw it out.
Marks and Spencer's gone downhill big…
Marks and Spencer's gone downhill big time from flowers to clothing cheap quality now had a few items which went into the bin as poor quality not what they used to be last time I buy from them !!!
Disappointing product and service
I have always considered M&S to be a retailer that offers reliable quality, which is why this experience has been disappointing.
Around a year ago I purchased a multipack of M&S sports bras. They have been worn only a handful of times and washed according to the care instructions. Despite this, both bras have developed exactly the same fault: the underwire has pierced through the fabric casing at the centre front, making them uncomfortable and unusable.
While faults can happen with any product, what has been particularly frustrating is the difficulty of providing feedback to M&S about the issue. The product no longer appears to be available on the website, so I cannot leave a product review. I then spent a considerable amount of time trying to find an appropriate customer service route to report what appears to be a quality issue, but was unable to find a straightforward way to do so.
I appreciate that the bras were purchased some time ago and I am not writing this because I expect a refund. My intention was simply to make M&S aware that both bras from the same multipack failed in exactly the same way after very limited use. I have photos but am unable to upload them here.
It is disappointing that the only practical way I seem able to provide this feedback is through a public review site rather than directly to the company. I hope M&S reviews both the durability of the product and the ease with which customers can report genuine quality concerns.
Ordered Friday paid next day - still not arrived
Ordered Friday - uniform (black shoes
And trousers) for my sons first day at work
on Sunday - paid next day.
M&S use Evri - and charge £5.99 for the pleasure of abysmal service - aka non delivery.
I called M&S on Saturday and a replacement was sent for Sunday delivery - and again Evri and once again no delivery (delayed according to Evri tracking).
So no uniform and unable to work at his first day. Now to see if it comes before noon for Monday for his next shift - or if he is sacked before he even starts due to M&S using the Evri (cheap and not cheerful).
Poor show M&S - utterly abysmal- first time shopper and will not be back.
Very unhappy with service
This is a long saga so this is a short summary. I alerted the customer service team to a problem immediately I heard of it, on 20th April. I spoke to about 5 different
Partners over the course of 6 weeks. I provided all the evidence they asked for. They eventually said on 11 th June that they had lost the parcel (a high value item) which was sent to them inadvertently. Had they acted on my first or second communication I would have the item now. Refused any kind of compensation. Never spoke to the same partner and had to go through the long story each time which I’m not sure they understood. I am very very unhappy and very out of pocket. A large company like this should have a much more efficient customer service team.
I have been an account holder for 50 years but I am totally disillusioned.
Terrible company overall
Terrible company overall. Customer service doesn't exists any more. Useless.
Chicken and leek pie
Chicken and leek pie. Pastry was ok but filling bland taste it would have been better to use onion as leek is much too bland in such a mixture also lacking seasoning. Never again and in the bin.
Royal Lamb Byriani meal…Disgusted
Just bought the Royal Lamb Byriani meal for tonight and the meal felt very heavy. My wife cooked it in the oven and i was looking forward to eating it and in all of the rice, which made up the weight, there was only 2, yes 2 pieces of lamb!!!! Absolutely ripped off, never again M&S, you are shocking!!! I actually feel robbed....terrible experience.
Marks and Spencer is not the company it…
Marks and Spencer is not the company it used to be. Quality of clothing has gone downhill. I ordered satin pyjamas instore. What I got was a crumpled mess of fabric that looked nothing like the website picture. I returned the item, the girl at the till agreed with me. I reordered, but received another crumpled mess of fabric. This isn’t the first time I’ve been unhappy with an instore order, but it will be the last time because I won’t buy anything again unless I’ve examined it first in the store. Also, years ago clothing ‘wore and washed well’ as the fabric quality was good. These days it’s clear Marks are sourcing from fourth-rate suppliers who have no idea how to size clothing for the UK market, and the fabric doesn’t wash well. I suppose Marks are more interested in maintaining high profit margins than in providing quality for the money spent instore. And I am not impressed by the new Sparks rewards - I spent £34 on a skirt to claim a £5 Reward but I used a claimed Reward towards the purchase and the system deducted that from the value of the purchase which meant I had to buy another skirt to bring the spend level back up to earn that £5 reward. The phrase ‘give with one hand and claw back with the other hand’ comes to mind. Additionally, there is a stupid palaver to get the earned rewards into the Sparks wallet - you have to apply for the reward and collect a numerical code to enter. Why cannot Marks just give us the reward we’ve earned??
M&S Cheese and Pumpkin Seed Crispbread is vile
I ran out of my usual brand of cheese and pumpkin seed crispbread, so I bought these instead.
They look much the same as my usual ones. They are slightly cheaper and they are certainly crisp, but they taste absolutely horrible.
On looking at the ingredients, I see the M&S ones include palm fat, rapeseed oil, cornflour, cheese powder and potato starch, none of which are in the other brand (Dr Karg's, if I'm allowed to say it).
I shan't be buying the M&S ones again. I thought M&S was supposed to have a good reputation for quality, but it seems to have slipped very badly if this experience is anything to go by.
Poor quality flowers and inept card writing!
My mum kindly ordered me some flowers following a major operation. However, they were in poor condition on arrival and never perked up. Both of the two roses (i understand there should have been a minimum of three) never opened and withered while one flower head fell off on the day of unpacking! Very poor quality overall. To top it off the card said "Mom" not "Mum" and actually said "and a few kisses" instead of "xxx". To be fair this caused my mum and i endless giggles, not what you need when you have internal stitches! I submitted photos and i'm still awaiting a response from M&S complaints department, So, folks, be warned!
Sad to see a once fine company turn in a disaster
Ghost order they have taken money from my card no goods delivered. customer service next to useless now fighting for a refund. steer well clear of M&S it's a broken company.
Popped into the West Quay
Popped into the West Quay, Southampton store yesterday to pick up a couple of items from the food hall and was served by Will. He was both friendly and efficient. A credit to your store.
The mushroom pie is as delicious as promised, highly recommend 👌
I recently bought M&S dried cured
I recently bought M&S dried cured, outside raised pork without nitrates/nitrites.
Very disappoint, immediately the water starts running in the pan as a frothy white liquid. This is what you usually get with cheap bacon.
After the water runs out the bacon of course shrinks and goes tuff. This is no better than cheap Supermarket bacon.
On the Ingredients list, the 2nd ingredients is 10% water, so that answers question. Back a Butchers tomorrow.
Solihull Sears park - no customer service at all
We visited the Solihull Sears Retail Park Marks & Spencer today, and I was shocked by how much the customer service has changed.
We had an interaction with an employee called Irun, who I found to be very rude and dismissive. We simply asked if another size of an item was available, as I was in the changing room she asked me to take the item off and then she would look, but when I had removed the item she seemed annoyed that we asked her again and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She told us she had no time for us at all as she was going to an appointment and walked off. I was shocked.
I can’t remember Marks & Spencer ever being like this. I used to enjoy shopping there because of the friendly, helpful service, but sadly that no longer seems to be the case. This experience has completely changed my opinion, and I’ll be shopping elsewhere in future.
Good manners and basic courtesy cost nothing, and it’s disappointing to see such a decline in customer service there.
Excellent Customer Care!
Excellent Customer Care!
I had the most wonderful customer service in Bluewater today. I approached a lady for some assistance. Her name was Natalie, and she went above and beyond the normal customer service that you would normally receive. Natalie really did go the extra mile from start to finish. What I didn’t know at the time, was that Natalie is a manager. Natalie made my whole shopping experience really special. We need more people like Natalie in all shops.
Thank you Natalie for being so kind.
Customer service not acceptable
Booked in for delivery but still not received or updated despite contacting M&S several times. Sent me an email asking to review my furniture but the item had not been delivered as promised as advised in texts and emails. Very disappointed with M&S who don’t seem able to get the delivery issue resolved after several calls and emails Not a happy customer. What is happening to M&S they were so reliable but not anymore it seems.
Update: finally contacted me about delivery let’s see if I get it!
Deplorable Customer Service
I’d prefer not to give them even 1 star. Deplorable company and inept staff. I purchased something online and returned it in store and I’ve been chasing 6 weeks for my refund. No customer service response despite calling twice and my records of calls noted. Very poor service when they did get in touch, I eventually received a response today but very basic, scripted and poor. Lack of responsibility taken. All trust is now lost in this institution.
