It sucks. Racist. My country is listed in their ML/TF terrorist or money laundering risk. So irrational. Just because you are a national of that country doesn’t mean you will be a terrorist or money launderer. I cannot simply use their app. So poor customer service. Not worth it. Just a waste of time.
So far so good, I have been using about 5 months with no issues. Interface is clean and easy to use too.
I bought 3 bitcoins from them 1 month ago to invest in wolfofcoin.st and I have nothing to complain about MaiCoin's service. 10/5 service!
My wife and I wanted to buy a bitcoin where we live in Taiwan. Maicoin came up in the search engine. Their website seemed good and boasted they charge no additional fees. They wanted 3-5 days to process ID. As soon as we passed ID, the price on their website for one bitcoin was around 38,512 NT. But when I tried to buy, it said their price was 41,102. (The prevailing mid price in USD was 1250, equivalent to 37785).
when I challenged their price, they replied "the spread that you see for TWD reflects the market conditions locally". Bullshxx. I went straight to Family Mart convenience store and bought on the spot, through BitoEX, at around 38,250. Wish I had discovered Bitoex sooner without wasting my time with Maicoin. Perhaps their website should be more open before you bother with ID requirements, they could say: 'we dont call them fees, we just surcharge you around 10% when we want to'.
