Firstly I will be honest and agree that Magellan is a mortgage company used as a last resort when trying to get foot back on ladder. I had some pretty difficult circumstances (beyond control) and as a result some poor credit history (DMP and defaults). Magellan although not the quickest, conducted a very thorough manual application which eventually got me my binding offer, 3 months after DIP. I'm very grateful that there are still companies like this out there which assisted in me getting the house I and my wife set our hearts on. All communication went through the mortgage broker. I will say though get all of your bank statements, ID's and utility bills in order (printed off) as they require loads. It seems frustrating for a while but the outcome is worth it.
