From my initial enquiry to when Ellie & Mike left after fitting my shutters, I can honestly say I received a first class service. They were clear on lead times, helpful and honest about product suitability and worked swiftly and cleanly throughout the installation. Had I not of had beautiful shutters at my windows, you’d never have known they’d been. Lovely family, 💯 recommend.

I recently had shutters installed in my home by Madeforshade, and I couldn't be happier. From the first visit when we got the front bay windows fitted we were so happy with how it looked we booked in again to get the whole house fitted with shutters.

From start to finish we had a great experience with Made for Shade. This is a small family business with no out sourcing of staff - I liked knowing that the person that came to quote was the person that would also be fitting the product.
The quality of the shutters we had is perfect - the price was right for the quality and high craftsmanship of the fitting.
I felt that Ellie really listened to my requirements beforehand, and understood what we were looking for. They were patient with me whilst I deliberated on colour/hinge colour. They were extremely respectful of my house - I had just decorated the room the shutters were being fitted to, and everything was left as it was found. They were careful not to scuff the walls and floor.
Ellie and Mike did a fantastic job on our bay window shutters - and clearly take pride in their business and work. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask them to return should we need more shutters in the future.
The fit of the shutters is better than I could have imagined and they were lovely to have in the house, and very comfortable to engage with.
Highly recommend this wonderful small family business. Superb service throughout, clear communication , and nothing was ever too much for them.

Beautiful shutters, brilliant service!

We recently had shutter blinds fitted to the front of our house by this wonderful team, and we are absolutely delighted with the result. From the first visit to the final fitting, their service was professional, friendly, and attentive. The shutters look beautiful, are of excellent quality, and have really transformed the look of our home. It’s clear they take great pride in their work, and we will definitely be back to have the rear of the house done too. Highly recommended!

I’d been after shutters for a while and one day I saw ‘made for shade ‘ van outside a house completing their window shutters so I came home and did some investigating what I mean by that is I found out they are a family run businesss just Jane , Mike and daughter Ellie no middle pushy sales rep who is going to annoy me every 5 minutes !
That for me was a tick in the box straight away secondly when I did call Jane was lovely explained all about the business and we went from there …
Once meeting Ellie straight away she was professional not pushy knew a lot about the shutters the different types of shutters and even what would work with the type of bay window I had .
Mike is very professional too and puts a lot of pride and care into the job from start to finish .
The quote I got the same day no pushy sales no pestering to go with them and I was very surprised by their prices I really didn’t think I’d be able to afford beautiful shutters .
The shutters were fitted perfectly Ellie and Mike take great care and consideration in your home and they are extremely tidy too .
So fast forward a few more years and I’ve had my French doors completed this week which look amazing and just had a quote for my kitchen and down stairs W.C .
I wouldn’t go with any other company made for shade go above and beyond they are very helpful and talk you through every aspect of the process from the types of shutters that are available to maintaining them and cleaning them .
You will not be disappointed with Made for shade !

Our second set of shutters from Mike & Ellie. First class service from measuring and consultation, good communication regarding lead time and fitting date. Excellent fitting, clean, tidy and craftsman finesse. Outstanding value.

We had a fantastic experience with Madeforshade, thanks especially to Ellie who provided outstanding service from start to finish. She came out for a consultation and was incredibly informative and helpful—unlike a previous company we’d spoken to, who didn’t come close in terms of support or professionalism. Ellie really helped guide our decision without any pressure at all, which we truly appreciated.

The wait time was exactly what you'd expect for shutters, but we were pleasantly surprised (and very happy!) to have our installation booked and completed ahead of schedule. The finished product looks amazing—we’re absolutely over the moon with how it all turned out.

Initially had shutters fitted to front windows in October 2024, so pleased with the quality, fitting and appearance that Mike has just fitted shutters to the rear windows.

Fab quality & amazing service from start to finish - very professional. Our shutters have made a huge difference to our front lounge and we couldn’t be happier.

Cannot thank Ellie & Mike enough! After having my window replaced in the bedroom, the window fitter needed to take out the shutters.. he attempted to put them back but they were not sitting flush. I dropped Ellie a text late on the night as I was so upset at how they had been put back, and without any hestitation she got me booked in for them to be fitted back correctly within a week! Cannot recommend Mike & Ellie enough.. their friendliness and professionalism. We absolutely love our shutters! Thank you for sorting for me, I can sleep at night again now!!

We ordered shutters for two rooms for the impending arrival of our little one.
Once we had the initial consultation with Ellie, both myself and my partner were algined on the type of shutters we were having.
The initial session was very informal, very friendly and you could tell that Ellie really knew her stuff.

A week after the initial consultation both Ellie and her father Mike came to measure up to ensure the blinds would be a perfect fit for the imperfect walls. This took around half an hour.
Again both were so polite, and well versed in their craft.

Upon initially being told the shutters would be 12 weeks, they arrived at around the 10 week mark, just after our little one had been born.

The installation was carried out with such professionalism, courtesy and accuracy.

We absolutely love our shutters. It really makes a difference particularly with the darkness for our little girl to sleep. When we get our other bedroom done, we will be calling upon Ellie & Mike to do us the honours.

I cannot speak highly of them, and would not hesitate in recommending Made for Shade for good quality shutters.
