Avoid Lynk & Co 08 in Morocco if you care about basic functionality.
They sell it as a “connected car”, but the mobile app and core features are simply NOT working. The dealer (LK Automotive) promised activation “very soon” pending approval from ANRT — months later, still nothing, no timeline, no official communication.
So basically you end up with a half-disabled car. No remote features, no app, no real connectivity.
This isn’t a small bug — it’s a fundamental part of what you paid for. Selling a tech-focused vehicle without the tech is misleading at best.
If you’re considering Lynk & Co, be careful. At least in Morocco, you’re not getting the full product they advertise.

Why I Returned My Lynk & Co and Switched Brands
My experience with Lynk & Co has been so negative that I not only cancelled my subscription, but I strongly advise anyone against renting, and even less so buying, a vehicle from this brand.
Here is why I returned the car and decided to buy a vehicle from a different manufacturer instead:
1. Zero Reliability and Danger on the Road The car is simply not reliable. On one occasion, the system suddenly collapsed, displaying multiple "critical failure" alerts on the screen. It turns out the vehicle relies on an "auto-reset" system to clear these errors (which could be software bugs... or actual mechanical breakdowns), but this system malfunctions. This creates total insecurity: you are driving without knowing if the car is about to break down or if it's just another computer bug. After several scares, I lost all confidence in the vehicle's safety.
2. Abusive Billing Policy Upon returning the car, the management was terrible: I was charged for pre-existing damage to the left rims. I have photos taken shortly after delivery proving I didn't cause it. Because the delivery was rushed ("Location of Your Choice" service) and I signed the initial report without spotting those scratches at that exact moment, they ignore my photographic evidence. They hide behind the bureaucracy of a signed paper to charge you for repairs that are not your responsibility, ignoring the reality of the situation.
Between critical software failures that compromise safety and customer service that ignores clear evidence to overcharge, my patience ran out. I preferred to buy a car from another brand and forget about Lynk & Co. If you value your money and your safety, look for another option.
Lynk & Co Azerbaijan
Lynk & Co Azerbaijan – issues unresolved for 1.5 years
I’ve been facing ongoing problems with my Lynk & Co since the day I bought the car, and for 1.5 years the official Lynk & Co service center in Azerbaijan has failed to properly resolve them.
The main issues are constant Bluetooth problems and an unfinished infotainment system. The software feels like a beta version – the car has Wi-Fi, but there are no functional apps or real features that actually use it.
Every visit to the service ends with the same explanation: “software issue”. After updates, new problems appear or old ones come back. There is no permanent fix.
This is extremely disappointing for a modern car and raises serious concerns about software quality and after-sales support.
I’ve been a Lynk & Co subscriber for…
I’ve been a Lynk & Co subscriber for two years, paying more than 600€ per month, and this has been one of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had.
The problem is simple: they do not clearly provide the full insurance conditions when you subscribe.
When I signed up, the only document I ever received was a basic insurance certificate stating that glass/lunas were covered. At no point was I informed that there was a 1,000€ deductible applied to glass damage, nor was I provided with the full policy document explaining this.
Only after a windshield broke and I started a claim, they suddenly sent me a different PDF with clauses I had never seen before, claiming that the information was “on their website” and that I should have looked for it myself. This is unacceptable. Essential insurance conditions cannot be hidden online and revealed only after a problem appears.
In practice, this means:
– You think glass is covered
– You pay a premium monthly subscription
– Then you are told you must pay hundreds or even 1,000€ for a windshield on a car you don’t own
This is not how insurance works, and it’s certainly not how a subscription model should work. The communication between Lynk & Co, their insurance broker, and the workshop is chaotic, contradictory, and incredibly frustrating. Nobody takes responsibility, and you are left confused, stressed, and out of pocket.
After reading other reviews here, I now understand this is not an isolated case. Unfortunately, this looks like a systemic lack of transparency that traps consumers.
If you are considering Lynk & Co, read everything twice and be very careful. I personally regret not checking Trustpilot earlier.
I rented a car for about 8 months
I rented a car for about 8 months. 11 months after I returned it, they charged me an extra 2500 EUR for extra mileage (calculated at 0.20 cents per Km), even if I used it basically only in the city to take the kids to school.
Bien cordialement,
Loyal customer of Lynk & Co for several years, I have always honored my commitments: punctual payment of rental fees, regular maintenance of the vehicles rented each year, and unquestioned acceptance of price increases and successive changes to the specific terms of the contract.
However, I wish to express my deep disappointment with the current handling of our case. My wife ordered a new vehicle in early September, anticipating the return of our current car. Despite nearly two months of waiting, the application has still not been approved, and we have no visibility on the delivery date of the new vehicle.
Despite our good faith and foresight, Lynk & Co has recently adopted an unacceptable attitude: phone calls and messages with a threatening, intimidating, and even insulting tone, demanding the immediate return of the current vehicle without taking into account our situation — a situation caused by their own delays. These exchanges, particularly with a certain Bérénice, have been especially offensive and disappointing for long-standing loyal customers.
It is with regret that I am publishing this negative review, in the hope that it will draw the attention of Lynk & Co’s management to the need for genuine customer service, a minimum of listening and respect, and a prompt resolution of this minor issue, which we tried to anticipate in good faith.
Kind regards,

More than £1,000 in "additional charges"
I rented the Lynk & Co 01 for 22 months, with fully comprehensive insurance. Three months after I returned the car, Lynk & Co billed me for more than £1,000 in "additional charges" to cover tiny, superficial marks on the car. The car had been stored indoors and had zero bumps/crashes. I will never do business with this company again.
The company's rating is very low
The company's rating is very low. The quality of customer service is not good. I did not get good facilities from customer service.
Be careful with any small damage
I think I also made the same review more than a year ago. I had a Lynk & Co car for just three months in 2023 (not the date shown below). I got a small chip in the windscreen and went to CarGlass in Freiburg to have it repaired. The quote was EUR 145. However, when I sent a picture of the very small chip to Lynk & Co and said that I was going to have it repaired by an expert company at my cost, I was told just to leave it and it will be repaired under the company's insurance - so I left it. Six months after I returned the car, I received an invoice for over EUR 500 for "additional expenses". Since then, I have been hounded by Lynk & Co and, today - the 20th of September 2025 - two and a half years after I had the car, I am sent another invoice dated one year ago for EUR 1,002. Beware - this is a scam.
Please don't make the same mistake of…
Please don't make the same mistake of using their services, I sadly did for a couple of months. While the car itself isn't terrible, except for the atrocious connectivity issues with the infotainment system, the real problem lies in the abysmal service provided by this company.
When you return the car, they will attempt to charge you for every minor issue, no matter how insignificant. If you dispute these claims, they will ignore your communications, leaving you with no resolution. Months later, they will suddenly pass your case to a debt collection agency without any prior notice or resolution, despite previous email and phone interactions.
It's astonishing that they continue to operate in this country, as their practices border on illegality. Their complete disregard for customer rights and lack of transparency is appalling.
DO NOT RISK YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. STAY FAR AWAY!
Beware: Hidden Charges After Vehicle Return – Stay Away from Lynk & Co
I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Lynk & Co that I feel compelled to share to warn other potential customers.
After returning my Lynk & Co 01 vehicle in what their own representative described as “the best condition he had seen in a return”, I was shocked to receive an invoice two weeks later for €1,760 in supposed repair costs. The car had been meticulously maintained, garage-kept, and driven under 12,000 km over two years.
I immediately took the matter to two independent repair shops, both of which confirmed that the so-called “damage” (like a few minor scuffs or a windshield chip) was absolutely minimal and didn’t justify such a high bill — especially not the full replacement of parts. It was clearly excessive and unjustified.
To make matters worse, the vehicle was parked outside, unsupervised, for several days after I returned it — any damage could have happened during that time, yet I am being held accountable.
Since speaking out, I’ve been contacted by several other former customers who are experiencing exactly the same issue. It’s starting to look like a pattern of unfair post-return billing — something that feels dangerously close to a scam.
I truly enjoyed the car while I had it, and I appreciated the subscription model — but this kind of behaviour from the company is unacceptable. It erodes all trust and makes it impossible to recommend the brand.
Advice to others: Stay away from Lynk & Co until they change these practices. If you’re already a customer, document everything — photos, handovers, inspection reports — because you may need to defend yourself later.
