Avoid unless you want 10+ companies ringing and emailing you profusely!!!

At NO point do they make it clear they will pass your details out to all of these companies. It is a disgraceful and shocking abuse of data protection and as a result I have reported them to the GDPR ICO.

AVOID using this disgraceful website!!! In 25+ years of internet browsing I have NEVER known someone to be so flippant over people's online privacy and personal data.

This is an appalling service that is very unclear. I was not informed that the information I entered to get comparisons would immediately be forwarded to all the services listed. This resulted in ten separate emails, four phone calls and several voicemails within one hour of asking this website for quotes. I did not want to be contacted directly, nor did I instigate this contact. I did not want ten separate firms immediately trying to contact me at work.

I chose the architect I want to use, I asked for builders quotes, but I am now bombarded with calls from loads of the companies I don't want them to call me. This is bad customer service.

I only wanted to know IF planning permission was needed to reroof some outbuildings. There appeared to be nowhere to contact West Suffolk Council - Planning, to ask that question.

Returned a lot of surveyors who are RICS registered, however was a little misleading. Although the individual surveyor may be registered, very few of the businesses appear in the RICS registry search, just be mindful of this.

Also, supplying your phone number results in a lot of phone calls. I didn't want this, I wanted to be contacted by email with quotes, not harassed on the phone.

A lot of the quotes were very generic and when contacted by a surveyor ended up being wildly different from the initial quoted price.

Excellent source and will be sure to use this again.

I received several quotes from Local Surveyors Direct and chose Dan Bowley of EPC Provide. Dan arrived on time, was friendly but professional and carried out the assessment quickly but throughly. I received a draft copy the same day and the final certificate shortly after. I was very happy with the service and costs and would recommend both Local Surveyors Direct and Dan Bowley.

The service itself was simply outstanding. As from initial contact to accessing potential surveyors contact details was extremely swift and hassle-free, however the first and only individual and business I made contact with never actually called me back despite agreeing to the call scheduled for the next day via email. When I called their office in the morning and left a message with a member of staff as I was told the individual was on the phone, no-one called me back, so not good at all !

Have used LSD before for valuers, level 3 surveys and now EICR. Quick response from some of the people who were listed and easy to engage. Not always the least expensive compared to other sites, but quality has been good to date.

The electrician I was looking for contacted me. So much easier than making your way down a list of telephone numbers with disappointing results. The electrician lives in my locality, has many years of experience, and is able to undertake the work almost immediately and at reasonable cost.

i specifically said i needed a survey for an old building due to wanting someone who understands how old buildings work. None of the responses addressed this. Instead they gave me the generic ramble which implies they are inexperienced in old buildings. The list is presented with cheapest first, which is NOT the way to choose a professional. I emailed them back for clarifications and received no response. I wouldn't choose a surveyor based on cheapness, and many of the responses showed sparse qualifications. Wont trust the responses
