Loadrans LLC worst service ever encountered

Loadrans LLC delivered household goods from Colorado to Kansas, loading and unloading goods into 3 different trucks. When the truck came to final destination and started unloading, 90% of items were broken - even large items as the TV. All dish sets and glass sets were damaged. Furniture was scuffed, marred, and even corners broke completely off. We submitted a claim to CSI and they said Loadrans only pays by the pound and offered to pay $178.88 total. To replace all these contents would be $5000.00. And now they won't even answer their phone when we call. Worst service we have ever encountered.

Incomplete and Unprofessional Moving Service

The team did not complete the job and left before several agreed-upon tasks were finished. They left packing quilts behind, discarded packing tape and trash throughout the home, and failed to reassemble furniture that had been taken apart. During the move, crew members were also watching videos on their phones, which significantly slowed progress and contributed to the job taking much longer than necessary.

When I attempted to address the unfinished work, the crew left while I was still trying to speak with them. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable

SAVE YOUR TIME

SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, and EARS from having to listen to them repeat themselves, give false information, or none at all. The WORST communication from moving company/drivers. Constantly working on a schedule with no ETA. They LOVE to not tell you things until you’re locked in. And I went through Coastal Moving Services so I didn’t even have a choice. My info was sourced to Loadrans. With every step, new info was given and what was supposed to be $4000, went up to $6034, then they told me about a shuttle they have to now being because a semi won’t fit so it’s $1/cubic foot. Well I had almost 1000 cubic feet. Final total was now $6900. $2900 more than I expected and you have no choice but to get them the money because they have your belongings. NEVER AGAIN!!

Andrew and Sam were incredible! They were so helpful from start to finish. Supported all of my items, took good care of them and even helped pack! They were extremely accommodating & I can not thank them enough for making this move smooth and painless!

Items finally arrived extremely late and damaged, missing, and a complete disaster

3/26/26 Update:
My daughter’s belongings finally arrived—nearly two weeks late—after I had already returned home and could no longer assist her with unpacking. Unfortunately, the condition of the delivery was extremely disappointing. Nearly every box was heavily damaged, her dining table was scratched, and multiple items were broken. Her home was left in complete disarray. Additionally, somehow everything smells like cigarette smoke even though she doesn't smoke. She also received some boxes that were not hers that were filled with trash, empty Red Bull containers, and a stinch of cigarettes.

She is still assessing the full extent of the damage, but some losses are already clear. She had two small boxes of snow globes she has collected since childhood. These were clearly labeled “fragile” and carefully wrapped. In one box, 10 out of 30 were broken. The second box is missing entirely—presumably discarded due to damage. They said 'the box got wet'. The box got wet because they broke snow globes not vice versa.

Additionally, the movers left items scattered throughout the home, failed to unwrap items they had packed, left behind trash from unpacking and assembly, abandoned boxes outside without notice, and did not complete agreed-upon reassembly. The overall handling and care of her belongings were unacceptable. I wish that I could attach pictures to help one understand just how horribly this was handled.

3/24 Update:
Although there have been several issues, customer service has been responsive and has provided updates and support. We are hopeful this will be resolved by 3/26.

That said, I am updating my rating from 1 to 4 stars based on the ongoing customer service efforts. If the resolution continues in good faith, I will maintain this update.

I scheduled my daughter’s move through SafeShip, which subcontracted the job to Loadrans. We were only informed of this on the day of the move, which added unnecessary stress, though the movers initially seemed reassuring.

During the quality assurance process for our move from Vancouver, WA to Houston, TX, the original quote of approximately $9,000 increased to nearly $12,000—despite providing a detailed inventory. We even removed several large items to reduce space, yet the price still increased. Notably, the original quote included nearly $2,500 for expedited service. When we asked for clarification, we were redirected between SafeShip and the movers, making the pricing process unclear and frustrating.

We were told we would receive a delivery ETA at pickup and were informed the delivery would occur on 3/16 or 3/17. Based on this, we drove cross-country with two dogs to ensure we were present, as required.

This move was particularly important, as it is my daughter’s first time living independently. She has autism and dual diagnoses, and I arranged time off work specifically to help her transition. I also scheduled my return travel based on the expedited timeline.

After arriving, we struggled to get updates. By Tuesday evening, we were informed the belongings had not even left the origin state. We were left in an empty home with no furniture, minimal clothing, and no essential household items. We had to purchase a mattress, bedding, and basic supplies, and rely on takeout due to lack of kitchen items.

As of 3/19, we were told the items were still in storage, with a vague plan to ship days later—despite paying for expedited service. This resulted in nearly a two-week delay.

I had to reschedule my return flight multiple times and ultimately had to leave before delivery, forcing my daughter to manage the process alone despite needing support.

I requested reimbursement for necessary out-of-pocket expenses (approximately $800), but have not received a meaningful response. The only resolution offered has been a refund of the expedited fee—which simply returns payment for a service not provided. They did end up refunding the balance (about $700) but by this point we had spent over $1500 living in an empty home for the extra week and a half without belongings. This was also the resolution provided prior to all of the damage updated on 3/26.

I will continue to update this review as the situation progresses, including:

Final delivery condition and completeness
Compensation for delays and damages
Reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses

At this point, the experience has been highly stressful, poorly communicated, and far below reasonable expectations—especially given the cost and circumstances.
