Don’t bother using this company.

Don’t let the cheap prices tempt you. Over 3 weeks since I ordered. I have raised 3 tickets and I heard nothing. Items not despatched. If the items aren’t in stock the website should warn you before taking your money.

AWFUL SERVICE

I have been waiting almost 3 weeks for an order which has yet to be even dispatched yet. I have opened two support tickets and sent 2 emails which have not been responded too. Do not place an order with these guys!

Its such a shame your company doesn't monitor its emails / support tickets as quickly as it does trust pilot.

Ignore the bad reviews. The savings and service are worth the wait!

I was skeptical to order based on the negative reviews, and even moreso when I couldn't use my PayPal account to purchase (which is my/PayPal's fault, not Licorea), but did a regular credit card payment and risked it. Turned out to be an excellent choice (and got a free mini vodka shot bottle to boot!).

I was able to order multiple bottles of wine for a fraction of the cost I would pay in Ireland, even with shipping factored in (roughly 55-60% savings). The box was properly sealed and had custom styrofoam inside that was moulded to the shape of wine bottles. All were in proper condition, not a single break or chip. The care in shipping and savings make this a future go to for me.

My only comment would be to order in advance and not have a deadline you are trying to have it by. Despite automated emails advising of specific turnaround times, they are longer due to Covid/Christmas. Would be nice if they updated that in the automated emails, but that's a minor issue based on the price and service which are both great. I emailed them directly for updates as recieved a reply within a day or so which I think is great.

If you are looking for a great source of Spanish wines at extremely competitive prices, I can definitely reccomend Licorea!

Issues

A lot of these reviews seem fake... They all have the same heading as the first sentence, and really odd names.

Long story short, they have great prices, but I experienced a delay in shipping and my order (while well packaged and fully intact) wasn't exactly correct when it arrived.

Original review:
Almost two weeks since ordering, my order has not been shipped (still says, payment confirmed)
No reply to a ticket asking when it will be shipped that i sent on the 4th December.

I received a reply from a ticket on the 26th November that they are experiencing some delays and that they will get to my order soon. No word since then.
I just want my order.
I will change this review if I get news back but I am quite frustrated. I totally understand that there must be large delays for them but two weeks is too long without some kind of notice.

I see recent reviews here saying they received their orders promptly, so I don't know what's happening.
I'm sorry I have to write this, Licorea. I will change this when I hear back as to what's happening.

Update 1:
Licorea have got in touch. They apologised and explained the delay. Very genuine.

Update 2:
My order arrived today, 3 days earlier than estimated by shipping which is really nice. Packaging was very safe, lots of foam to protect the bottles. Everything in good condition. I ordered 2 bottles of Dom Perignon 2008 for a special occasion, the 2008 vintage specifically sold on the site. I was a bit annoyed to find that I was given two 2010 bottles (supposedly inferior). I'm not a snob, I'm not outraged, but it's not what I ordered. The 2010 isn't on the site at time of writing this, only 2004 (out of stock) and 2008.

Hello, sorry if vintage its not correct, due our high volume of contacts we were not able to contact and delay more your order, due 2010 its 10 eur expensive than 2008 (check site) we prefer to send this expensive vintage for delays and for your good order and assume us the price difference, instead of refund this bottles and ship the other bottles of the order.

First time user.

I used this company for the first time last week after stumbling across it in a search. I normally use Gourmet En Casse who I find good but the shipping can be expensive. Licorea, I noticed, had a much more reasonable shipping cost so I said I'd give them a go. I ordered 4 different Vodkas and 7 days later, I have them here in front of me. I got exactly what I ordered, the packaging was superb and the speed of shipping obviously great too. I'm delighted with the service and will definitely use them again.

I like the service i received so far but in my last purchase order after i have done the usual Bank transaction like the previous purchases, i received from your Company that the money were not received!
I have a bank statement that confirms the transfer to your account has been done.
I also sent an email to your Company.

Actively listing items they can't supply.

Ordered two bottles of Jim Beam Maple on the 3rd November. Confirmation email received immediately. On the 6th Licorea emailed me to say it had been discontinued and was unavailable and would I like a refund. I said yes within an hour of getting the email. Two days later still no contact so I emailed again asking for a refund. Still no contact so on the 11th I started a refund request via PayPal. Within an hour Licorea accepted the refund. Have I had it yet? As of today (13th) - no. Struggling to understand the delay in pushing a button on a keyboard and even more confused by why they're still actively listing the product on their website when they know they have no stock. If you're planning on ordering anything you're best off contacting them first to get guaranteed confirmation that they can actually sell you what you want. Search their website for Jim Beam Maple - just don't try and order any as you'll never get it.

Update following the reply below. The refund was requested on the 6th. Doesnt fit in with your timescales Licorea. And what 'investigation' needs to be done when you contacted me to tell me you have no stock and the item is discontinued? You've been faster to reply to a negative review than any previous contact (no replies at all via your own message system) and only responded when Paypal were approached for a refund. Appalling customer service.

2nd update. So if 'work started on it' (what work? You have no stock and won't be getting any more as discontinued so how hard is it to click a button and refund?) On the 9th and it takes 3 working days to process a refund then where was the refund yesterday? Again - you only seem to respond to customers who contact PayPal directly and/or leave negative reviews rather than actually reply to messages via your own contact system. I'm still yet to receive one from you outside of PayPal and here.

If you check mail received about refund request you will find at bottom that refunds can take 3 business days in been processed, yo have asked refund on 11 will be processed next Monday Sometimes can take longer if a claim has opened in PayPal due that PayPal needs to investigate the case even we have agree the refund.
You have a document in conditions that explain how stocks and supports are managed by us, (imports now have a huge delay time due covid, and some imports are lockdown) and you have another document about how its our timing now for support and shipping due covid-19.
Please don't forget that you are purchasing in another country and your order has "International order" environment (special breakage protection, support in your language, docs, etc). Kind Regards and our apologies for delay in remove product price due out stock,.

Update:
Sir 6 of November are Friday, refund was demanded late and was started to work with it on Monday 9 (was put on support queue). We are different departments I take care of this and we receive very little quantity of claims that the reason I can be faster in responses., I have not follow your case until today.
As i worte you we are an international store timing will be never as a local store, take un mind.

Im dealing with Licorea for a number of years, but last few years was just disgrace .No info given for items not in stock - just so you can choose from different product. Prices are going up very fast. Weight (actual weight of the bottles is incorrect). Licorea...you're good once ,but not anymore

Shocking company

Shocking company. Placed an order on 8/10/2020 and payment debited from my account. On 14/10/2020 I opened a support ticket asking about my order. They took 2 full days to respond to me and when they did, they said the products were out of stock but they would have them back in stock on the 21/10 and it would be shipped immediately. It is now 27/10, no sign of shipping confirmation and no contact from the company. Am applying for a full refund and will never ever order anything from this shambolic company again

Terrible company

I feel I have to leave this review for a very ignorant and badly run company, I made an order with this company two weeks ago , paid my bill with my credit card but received no confirmation email so i checked my account and the money had been paid to them so i gave them time to reply. Still no reply so i checked my account to find it says payment pending when asked what this means my reply was I had not paid the bill yet so i asked my credit card company who gave me the acquirer reference number to prove I had paid and who I paid it to also what i paid for but they refuse to check on this and just keep saying there bank says i have not paid that bill
The credit card and bank would not lie about making payments so i am now in the process of having to claim my funds back on a goods not delivered scenario
So if you use this company been very aware that you might just be lead on a wild goose chase at your expense for nothing as they will not listen to your evidence of payment but are quite willing to accept and keep it
Try at your own cost ...........

From the first account you processed an order "without payment" of 116.70 EUR we mail you for help you with a direct payment and instructions for made this payment.
You didn't reply our mail and made a new order of different quantities (you changed original products) with the new second mail address, this new order was not properly completed and payment was not received, processed but not properly closed (products remained in your basket)
Our Customer care finally located your two accounts and check all payments of all this day's (think we receive a hundred of payments daily... payments of similar quantities).
As we have explained by mail your order its now located and processed and its in handling queue.

First class service and excellent communication.
Very well packaged for safety to bottles and labelled fragile in appropriate sized lettering
Will order again in near future.
Used RTL to deliver which then goes to Parcelforce no problems at all.
A very satisfactory purchase experience.
Update ; just received second delivery as good as the first excellent all round. No issues, what a find this company was.

Customer Service +++

I did have a bottle damaged in the post but Licorea sorted it (thank you Juan!), I could not really ask for anything more. I would just recommend selecting UPS if you are shipping to the UK as GLS hand over to Parcelforce to deliver (or not).

Broken glass, delays, no reply!! :(

Order arrived shattered in pieces and delayed by two weeks. Contacted Licorea several times but have not heard back. For a company specialized in liquor delivery you would think they would know how to pack bottles. An enveloppe is just not enough. Amateurs and thieves (reply!!!)

Counterfeit alcohol and return without refund

I've had the worst experience with this company in 10 years of online shopping.

In May I ordered tequila from them and it arrived tainted - most likely it was counterfeit. It took them a while to acknowledge that, after which they promised to pick it up. I waited for several weeks and it was never picked up.

Eventually I raised this through the payment company - that the alcohol was counterfeit.
Only then Licorea finally arranged a pick up and the item was returned to them. They did not process any refund.

Several weeks after the item was returned to Licorea, the payment company asked me a follow up question. Unfortunately I was travelling and couldn’t respond within three days. As a result they closed the case.

All this time (3 weeks), Licorea was sitting on my return and made no refunds.
They used the fact that the case was closed while I was traveling as an excuse not to provide a refund - despite the fact that they received the item.

So to summarise- Licorea received the item back from me and was still refusing to refund. This is the most shocking part and can only be seen as fraud.

The customer service is borderline rude and refusing to cooperate.

It has now been 2 months since I placed the order- I don't have the item and still have not received the refund.

Avoid them at all cost.

Paypal rejected the claim.You complained to Paypal and the entity resolved by saying that there was no place for the claim as the product was in perfect condition. Despite this, we picked up the bottle and intended to reimburse the full amount of your order (including shipping costs).After your comments in Truspilot and Google we will abide by the Paypal resolution that denied your claim, resolving that the product was in perfect condition

When I found this unfamiliar website, the price for my 2 x 1litre bottles of Ricard delivered all the way to Winchester from Italy was so good, it was worth a punt! The well packaged items arrived early and exactly what I wanted so I'm delighted with the service and will certainly use them again!

Good company

I would give it 5 stars but I can’t because of how scared I was of everything, would I get my money stolen, would it be laced?

Delivery was very fast, the bottles came in styrofoam, everything looked very good, no cracks.

I was also worried about duties and fees coming up later, nope. All came and still 3 days later I have received no fees. This is a very good company to buy alcohol if you live in the eu.

Just letting you know I am from Ireland, the shipment usually goes from Spain to France to UK to Ireland.

I was also scared about when I checked the details of the package, it said it was 1kg, so I thought I got scammed, nope. Everything came through.
