I tried to order an item online and failed to pay by card even after trying ten times, that is how their system is. Then I contacted sales team online and paid by bank transfer the same day (which was a lot of work). And then even after 7 working days of payment, and sending them the proof of payment, they are still not shipping the item. Is this company a joke?
This brand is a disgrace
This brand is a disgrace! A three-year-old premium laptop needs a motherboard replacement, even though it hasn't been misused! And they're not acting in good faith! It's an insult to the consumer. Don't buy Lenovo; their technology quality is rubbish
⭐ 1 Star – The Worst After-Sales Experience I've Ever Had
I purchased a Lenovo Legion Go S and initially raised a warranty claim for a charging fault. A Lenovo technician attended my home on 7 July and replaced the motherboard. Whilst this repair successfully fixed the original charging issue, it created a catalogue of new problems that have left me without a functional device for weeks.
During the repair, the technician damaged the device casing, leaving visible marks that were not present beforehand. Worse still, the motherboard replacement introduced multiple new faults, including overheating issues, loss of Wi-Fi connectivity, and several controls becoming non-functional. Incredibly, a device that was sent for repair with a single fault was returned to me in a significantly worse condition than before Lenovo touched it.
What has made this experience even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication and ownership from Lenovo. I have repeatedly had to chase for updates, call support for progress reports, and follow up on promises that never materialised. Time and time again I have been told I would receive updates, only for nothing to happen. The entire process has felt like a game of phone tennis, being passed between departments with nobody taking responsibility for resolving the issue.
I was originally advised that repairs typically take 7–10 days, yet I am now being told further parts are required to fix problems caused by Lenovo's own repair attempt.
What should have been a straightforward repair involving minimal downtime has turned into weeks without my device through no fault of my own.
My biggest disappointment is not that a fault occurred – these things happen. It is the fact that Lenovo's repair process damaged my device, introduced additional faults, failed to provide meaningful communication, and then left me constantly chasing for information.
At no point have I felt like Lenovo has recognised the impact this situation has had on me as a customer.
I have owned products from numerous technology brands over the years and have never experienced a warranty process handled this poorly. A simple charging repair has escalated into physical damage, overheating issues, Wi-Fi failure, broken controls, missed updates, broken promises, and ongoing delays.
Based on my experience, Lenovo's customer service and repair process have fallen well below the standard I would expect from a major technology manufacturer.
Extremely disappointing and I have completely lost confidence in Lenovo's after-sales support.
extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing two Yoga Pro 7i Gen 11 Aura Edition (15" Intel) laptops from Lenovo.
I ordered two identical laptops, both advertised as including the Lenovo Pen. However, I received two devices with different functionality:
Laptop 1: The Lenovo Pen works on the touchpad but does not work on the touchscreen.
Laptop 2: The touchscreen responds to finger touch, but the Lenovo Pen does not work at all.
This is extremely frustrating, as I specifically ordered two identical models and reasonably expected them to have the same specifications and functionality. The fact that they behave differently suggests that I may not have received the correct products or that there is an issue with the hardware supplied.
I would like to acknowledge that your Technical Support team has been professional and has genuinely tried to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the problem remains unresolved.
What is even more disappointing is the lack of support from Customer Care. I have contacted your Customer Care team several times and repeatedly requested a callback from a manager, yet no one has contacted me. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially considering that I have spent over £5,000 on Lenovo products.
I now expect Lenovo to investigate this matter as a priority and provide a satisfactory resolution. This may include replacing the laptops with the correct specification, supplying the correct compatible hardware, or offering another appropriate solution.
At present, I feel that I have not received the products I paid for, and I am extremely concerned by the inconsistency between two supposedly identical laptops. Unless this matter is resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate my complaint to the relevant consumer protection authorities, as I believe I have been supplied with products that do not match the advertised specifications.
I look forward to receiving your prompt response and a resolution to this matter.
This version is stronger, more professional, and avoids wording such as "Lenovo UK are cheating with their customer," which could weaken the complaint. Instead, it clearly explains the issue and states your intention to escalate the matter if it is not resolved.
Never again - Lenovo!
I purchased a Lenovo 14 months ago. 6 weeks out of warranty, and it stopped working completely. No one is offering to help. They want £600 to fix it - i don't expect a laptop to cease functioning when it is only just out of warranty. The lack of assistance / support is astonoshing. I would steer clear of Lenovo.
Technical Support Nadir
Lenovo technical support has reached the bottom and started digging.
Today I spoke to Jazmin, a gentlemen with particularly poor listening skills. He was unable to listen to the end of any sentence. When I did the same to him, he became so incoherent that I terminated the call, twice.
I have acute doorway effect because of my age. That means that if I do not get to the end of a sentence, I will forget the beginning of the sentence.
So Jazmin finally stated, on a bilaterally recorded call, that he was interrupting because I was interrupting. I asked him if he felt that age and role played any part in his model? Perhaps because I am twice his age but more importantly because I am a customer whose money goes to putting food on his table?
Is this normal policy for Lenovo?
And please, oh pretty please, do not bore us with the if you give us your details, we can deal with this. This is simply social media narrative control; exercised badly.
Perhaps I am alone in this? Perhaps everyone believes Lenovo service (as opposed to its thinkpads) is really good and this was a glitch with someone who had a migraine or no breakfast or whatever.
What do you think? What was your experience with Lenovo?
Avoid like the plague!
Why did I not look at Trust Pilot before giving £900 to Lenovo? New laptop arrived *(late). Touch screen defective. Collection was arranged, which failed and from there on nothing but frustration, lies, cut and paste answers. Four weeks on, still stuck with a useless laptop. Customer service is pure cut and paste lip service. Emails are ignored, promises are failed and seemingly no person cares. I would not advise anyone to purchase direct from them. Maybe from a store where you can return, but for me this is literally the WORST online experience I've ever had. I've now escalated claim to my payment provider.
Do not buy anything off lenovo
Do not buy anything off lenovo. They do not value there customers. I have had a horrendous experience with lenovo. Below outlines the crazy experience I have had. Promises made for a replacement laptop and partial refund and these promises werent held i have proof. Today 26th June. They email me from a noreply@lenovo email saying they want laptop back and will issue me a refund. When an agreement written agreement was made for replacement and partial refund. Funny I look on there website and the laptop no longer available. Also i was willing to return the faulty laptop. They sent me 2 lots of return labels and both were for the wrong product and glitched. Insane this was my first time ordering from lenovo never again.
Lenovo Dispute Timeline - June 2026
• Ordered laptop on 18th June price was higher than saved basket quote agent removed my save quote i ended up in negotiations for new price when should been offered the safe quote i had.
• Courier falsely marked package as 'out for delivery' on Friday while it was still in Germany. waited around for it never arrived.
• Laptop delivered on 22nd June with severe, unfixable sound issues (Dead on Arrival).
• Lenovo tech support could not resolve the issue, leaving the machine stuck on a reset screen. Waiting hours for the machine to factory reset.
• Spoke to Manager via WhatsApp chat, who explicitly promised a full replacement and a partial refund as a goodwill gesture. Empty promises as the return still in progress been dragged out unnecessarily. I wont get replacement or partial refund till laptop is returned. But they making it diffcult to complete the return.
• Lenovo incorrectly processed a standard 'Return and Refund' ticket instead of a replacement, changing the item description to a generic notebook. When was gaming laptop.
• Front-line support refused to transfer the call to a supervisor to correct the error.
• Official support emails bounced back with delivery failure errors (postmaster block).
• Wasted personal time and money printing incorrect, glitched drop off labels provided by Lenovo. When i clearly stated for a pickup return. Multiple times. Even to a manager.
Im still trying to resolve this. Just get told different false information on multiple calls
But words dont follow actions. Staff are so unhelpful just drag out such a simple solution makes it 10 times worse. Wasted my time out of pocket due to a faulty dead on arrival machine.
I paid £2,000 for a high-end laptop…
I paid £2,000 for a high-end laptop with Premium cover. It has been a disaster. It will not support a second monitor. On-line support told me to reset the laptop, which cost me a couple of day's work replacing all the software I had set up. Now I am told I have to return it to base and I will be without it for 1 week. I wish I hadn't been recommended to buy Lenovo.
The worst customer service experience.
The worst customer service experience.
I ordered a laptop; the product itself was fine, but it wasn't suitable for my needs. I've been trying to return it for weeks and no one ever turns up to collect it
I'm now waiting for yet another returns label so I can take it to a drop-off point myself
Every time I call or message customer service, I'm told that someone is coming that day or that the issue is being urgently escalated; nothing ever happens
At this point, the support has been completely useless and I'm genuinely starting to wonder whether I'll need to pursue a formal complaint, chargeback or other legal route just to obtain a refund
Technical support deny any…
Technical support deny any responsibility for the operating system. Chromebook loads 11 apps at startup regardless of shutdown with none running. Unlike suggestions on the internet there is NO option in settings to stop them. It's minutes before they can be manually terminated and the Chromebook used. It's a dog and so are Lenovo "customer services". Buy something else that's fit for purpose.
Complete breach of contract by Lenovo
Complete breach of contract by Lenovo, failing to supply a working laptop and refusal to provide a refund to customer after the Dead On Arrival laptop was returned immediately. It took 5 months to finally get a refund via Charge Back from our bank. Without the bank we believe we'd never have got our money returned. The whole process has been extremely stressfully & incredibly time consuming. We ordered a new laptop from Lenovo direct from their own online store at the end of 2025. Received the machine a week later, only to disappointingly discover a screen with hundreds of dead pixels. A week later (it took a week to get the return certificate from Lenovo Technical Support) we returned the laptop via Lenovo's own chosen & paid for courier. We were then strung along for the next 4 months, a total of approx 20 interactions with customer services, both by phone and email. One promise after another broken by both the Customer Services & Escalations teams. Their managers all failed to progress and investigate. The Director of Customer relations that sits on the Lenovo UK & Ireland Board, completely ignored a polite letter we sent him, in our desperation to seek assistance to finally end our nightmare This is by far the most dysfunctional company myself and my family have ever dealt with in our long lives! And it appears to apply to every aspect of the company. No-one within the organisation seems to care or take responsibility, they just hope someone else will deal with the problem, or somehow it will miraculously go away all together! It absolutely doesn't deserve any custom, and won't get any ever again from our family, and we will warn neighbours, colleagues, friends of the great risk of buying a laptop from this company. It's a sad decline of a once most trusted & reliable brand. For some 20 or so years we've been regular repeat customers, with multiple members of our family continuous Lenovo laptop customers. However, now our trust in Lenovo is completely shattered, both Quality Assurance of laptop manufacture, and the sorry joke that is their Customer Services. You have been warned! Thank you for reading.
Three Motherboards in Three Months – A Premium Laptop That Failed at Every Level
I have never written a review like this before, but after everything I have been through with Lenovo, I feel compelled to share my experience to help other customers make an informed decision.
I purchased a premium Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 workstation for professional use. This was not a budget laptop. It was marketed as a high-end business machine designed for reliability and demanding workloads. As someone working in a senior engineering and operations role, I relied heavily on this laptop for my day-to-day responsibilities.
Within just 2–3 months of ownership, the laptop suffered repeated and serious hardware failures.
During this period, Lenovo replaced:
* THREE separate motherboards;
* The battery;
* Cooling fans and other internal components.
Despite all of these repairs, confidence in the machine was completely lost. No customer should experience this level of failure on a premium business laptop that is only a few months old.
To make matters worse, during one of the repair visits, the Lenovo technician left screws on my desk after reassembling the laptop. These were not spare screws; they were screws that were supposed to remain inside the machine. Discovering that the laptop had been returned to me in this condition was shocking and deeply concerning.
However, the most disappointing aspect of this entire experience was Lenovo’s handling of the situation.
Throughout the process, there appeared to be no real ownership of the issue, no genuine concern for the impact this had on me as a customer, and no proactive effort to find a better long-term resolution. I repeatedly had to chase for updates, explain the same problems over and over again, and push for action.
I expected a premium level of support to match the premium price paid for the laptop. Instead, I experienced delays, poor communication, repeated repairs, and what felt like complete indifference from management. At no point did I feel that Lenovo truly appreciated the inconvenience, disruption, and loss of productivity caused by these failures.
This entire experience has permanently damaged my trust in the Lenovo brand. I will never purchase another Lenovo product again, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Lenovo to colleagues, friends, family members, or professional contacts.
Premium products should come with premium quality and premium support. Unfortunately, my experience delivered neither.
Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely disappointing.
I sincerely hope Lenovo reviews both the quality control of its products and the effectiveness of its customer service processes because no customer should have to endure what I have experienced
As useful as a chocolate teapot...
I was trying to buy a new phone but there is a fault with website where it wont accept email addresses with the suffix .me.uk
I used WhatsApp to contact support and ask when it will be fixed? i was told "when its fixed". How about a workaround? "There isnt one. Look at the website to see when its fixed. Thanks for contacting the Support Team. Bye."!
Lenovo takes no responsibility for website recommendations
Went on site for tech support for my specific Lenovo laptop and followed their recommendations. I downloaded the bios update. Without any warnings, my device was locked on a bios security loop, where disabling the security feature (only thing that worked) led me to being locked out by bitlocker. I didn't have a microsoft account, so everything was lost and I need to give it to a shop to factory reset it with an external computer. I tried explaining to tech support and customer care to get reimbursement, but they implied I was stupid and said my claim wasn't valid or acted all understanding then ghosted me. Btw the tech support number was not located anywhere on the main Lenovo page.
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company. 6 failed pick ups and all they do is keep sending return labels for more pick ups. Cannot contact manager beyond level 2 and all they do is pass you from one to the other like we are fing idiots. Am now paying for legal advice
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Lost my order and refused to send a replacement until they investigated to locate it for another 15 days. Terrible support and dreadful customer care.
I’m sorry for the negative review
I’m sorry for the negative review, I just hope it gets noticed and your marketing guys or whoever makes the decision of picking a name for the device only uses YOGA for the actual 360 degrees device. It’s a pain in the backside trying to find specifically the 2 in 1.
Would it be such a bad idea naming it something else?
Ridiculous refund wait time. Do not order if you will amend anything.
Order number: 4651203185
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Lenovo.
Before cancelling my order, I specifically contacted customer support to ask whether the laptop would still be shipped if I cancelled. I was explicitly assured that it would not be. Based on that information, I cancelled the order.
Despite this, Lenovo shipped the laptop anyway. As a result, I have been left with approximately £2,600 tied up while waiting for the laptop to be returned and my refund to be processed.
What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been avoided had I been given accurate information in the first place. Instead, I have spent considerable time chasing customer support, seeking updates, and trying to resolve an issue that arose through no fault of my own.
The refund will eventually return me to the position I should never have been taken out of, but it does not compensate for the inconvenience, wasted time, stress, and poor customer service I have experienced throughout this process.
I expected much better from a company of Lenovo’s size and reputation. And the customer service has been pretty sub par. No help or sympathy for any of the situation.
Had problems with the computer powering…
Had problems with the computer powering down randomly. There IT support is not very good after six months got a new motherboard fitted but it was not paired with the computer so still waiting for the IT technician to come back to make it work
Not good as all you want is for a new computer to work!
