Had a bad warranty experience with my MH-10
Had a bad experience with my MH-10. Its 6 years old and the curly wire is starting to disintegrate. I sent it back and got this reply;
Thanks for sending in your Ledlenser MH10 headlamp for warranty assessment.
We’re sorry to see the condition of the curly charging cable. After assessing the headlamp and the information provided, we can confirm that the deterioration shown is not considered a manufacturing fault.
The headlamp is still operational in all aspects. Given the product is now over six years old, this type of wear falls outside Ledlenser’s warranty coverage and is considered normal wear and tear rather than a fault in manufacture.
We appreciate this may be disappointing, and we do apologise that we’re unable to assist under warranty in this instance.
We suggest using insulation tape to protect the cabling that has lost its protective covering. We will send the headlamp back to you at no charge, or if you prefer, we can offer a 20% discount off the purchase of a new headlamp from our website, but we will destroy this headlamp.

But I do take exception to this being considered fair wear and tear on an expensive supposedly top quality product with a touted comprehensive 7 year warranty. If the material chosen cannot endure the warranty period without failing it is quite clearly a manufacturing defect. I have always kept it stored in its pouch and been careful with it's use as can be witnessed by its condition. Given I bought this on recommendation of others based on the "quality and warranty" aspects, of which it has failed on both counts, not only will it be my first ledlenser purchase, it will also be my last. I have purchased far cheaper products that have lasted better than this inferior Led lenser. I will not be recommending this brand to others because of the poor quality and in my opinion a faulty discernment of what constitutes manufacturing defect. If the material chosen cannot endure the warranty period without failing it is quite clearly a manufacturing defect.
I hope you will reconsider what constitutes a manufacturing defect. And if "fair wear and tear" allows for a lightly used and cared-for product to start to self disintegrate within its warranty period, then the warranty is worthless and can be considered misleading. Considering the waterproofing has been compromised because of poor quality insulation material from manufacture, I cannot agree with your assessment of this being "fully operational" just because the light still happens to glow when you tried it. Also the fact that the light "is now 6 years old" should play no part in the warranty assessment given the warranty period is greater that this at 7 years. If the product is not going to last 7 years it should either not be sold with a 7 year warranty, or replaced no questions asked.
I hope you can sense my disappointment in your hasty decision and invite you to replace the faulty product.

"Free" pouch?!
I got a LEDLENSER torch recently. The torch is great - very happy with it.
There was a voucher in the box with the torch that said "Reduce waste and protect the environment. Do you need a pouch?" There was a QR code to scan if you wanted to get the pouch and a code that said the pouch was free.
I went to order the pouch today as I believe that it will come in handy. Yes, technically speaking, the pouch is "free" when you enter the code. But then tried to hit me with a ridiculous delivery charge of €18.99. For a small canvas pouch.
Please don't do that. Don't tell me you're trying to save the planet, but I can still have the pouch for "free", and then try to rob me blind using a delivery charge.
This experience has left a very bad taste and has impacted what would otherwise have been a much better review.
Good but one cannot access guarantee.
I received my head torch as a Christmas present from my wife. None of the numbers on the box or documentation correspond with a serial number and thus I cannot obtain any guarantee, I am extremely disappointed. I would advise against purchasing because of this. It is a great head torch nevertheless. Dr Vaughan.

Premium torch permanently bricked by its own electronics…
I bought a LED Lenser P7R Core in April 2022 expecting a premium, durable torch. Instead, it became permanently stuck in safety/transport lock mode, which bricked the electronics. Despite following all documented unlock and factory reset procedures, the torch has been rendered completely unusable by what appears to be a known electronic switch or firmware lockout fault. There is no repair option and no replacement parts available.
Because it was just outside the warranty period, LED Lenser would only offer a 20% discount on a replacement, meaning more money spent on a product that can be permanently disabled by its own electronics.
This is not acceptable reliability for a premium torch. I would not buy LED Lenser again.
Update (after LED Lenser response):
LED Lenser has responded publicly asking me to contact support again. I had already contacted LED Lenser support prior to posting this review and followed all technical guidance provided, including factory reset procedures. The torch was confirmed as not repairable, and the only offer made was a 20% discount on a replacement.
If LED Lenser now has new technical advice or is willing to replace the unit, I am open to engaging further. Until then, the outcome remains unchanged.

I bought the P7R Pro, after having the H7R Work and the P7R Core, the P7R Pro is a nice addition. All of them use the same charging style. USB to "2-Pin" connector. The P7R Core comes with a charging holder that also fits the P7R Pro, batteries fits all 3 models.

Ledlenser P18R Signature. Lighthouse in your hand!
P18R Signature. Sooo BRIGHT!! Build quality & finish are perfect. Looks & hand-feel are excellent. Centre of balance in floodlight setting is right where the power button is, and just slightly forward of that in spotlight setting. Did I mention It is BRIGHT?!?
This is my 3rd Ledlenser Signature series and no, the other 2 aren’t broken, both have run flawlessly since first charge. I’ve not even had to replace a battery after 3 years of being on the charging cradle when not out camping, hiking, biking etc. In fact, one of the P7R Signature torches has been continuously emitting ~20 lumens (enough to walk around the house & yard) for well over 2 days now without charging & no visible brightness change. I expect it will continue for a few more days yet, based on my previous real world tests. So far, that’s more than a long weekend camping trip, being turned on at sundown each evening, and staying on all night until sunrise. but I wanted the Big Brother version for wilderness motorbike trips and for ceiling space inspections & super-clear photos inside a roof space.
Everything about the P18R Signature just screams quality & engineering.
Solid heft & hand-feel, awesomely even light throw with no colour distortion even at beam periphery, not bothered by water or dust, and easy to use, even with Motorsport (or work) gloves on. No fiddly connections when it’s time to charge, great battery and top notch performance.
Strongly recommend!

Not suitable for tradespeople!!!
These products are absolutely not as robust as they appear. I have had five different models recently and all of them have failed in less than three months. I’m an electrician and always keep a torch in my tool pouch, but it seems that moving around too much and going up and down ladders is all it takes for these things to start flickering constantly or dimming down to nothing. I am massively frustrated at having spent so much money on these things and I beg you if you are a tradesperson please do not waste your money. These torches are clearly made for occasional domestic use only. Anything more demanding will destroy them.

Extremely expensive transport for such a small item (150% of the price). Extremely wasteful packaging used. The item did not arrive on the date given by UPS.
