Darren Baker

Their business development manager, Darren Baker sold me an expensive faulty car putting me and my family in danger, he refuses to fix it or refund my money .The fault in the car developed within 24hours from buying his vehicle. Do not deal with him or his company. No integrity or decency.

Avoid at all costs, seriously think twice.

Having now left a rental property that was managed by Lauristons, we can honestly say we had the worst experience with this estate agents.
Let’s start with this. We had damp in the bathroom a few months into our contract, which we told them about immediately. Having chased this up with them for six months, they were unresponsive and when they did respond, failed to follow up with contractors. The problem was never fixed.
When it came to wanting renew our contract at the property, as we loved it, took great care of it, and it was the perfect location for us, the Landlord wanted to increase the rent to 17%, a much higher percentage than was agreed in our contract. We of course questioned this, and were told that the maximum increase of 7% stated in the contract was merely a ‘guideline’, and that they were within their right to ask for that 17% increase on the rent for the following year should we wish to renew. We had no choice but to move out.
From the very start, the staff we dealt with at Lauristons Putney (now closed) were rude, uncooperative, and difficult. They sent us sarcastic emails (when they actually responded) and unfortunately anyone working at the estate agents, from the letting agents, contracts or property management, nobody seemed to have any sense of human decency. We would avoid their service at all costs, especially for first time renters. Even if you see the perfect property, think twice before going with them. I promise it will save you a lot of hassle down the line.

Amir Malekzadeh

I recently purchased a flat in Wimbledon with the help of Amir Malekzadeh. He did a great job trying to make it as fast and smooth as possible; replying super quickly to all my emails and dealing with issues right away, being available anytime I needed something. He also emailed the solicitors frequently to accelerate the process. I would highly recommend him as he did a great job.

I have recently completed my purchase at Hamptons in Worcester Park through Lauristons Estate Agent, and Polly Luckhurst who facilitated the purchase was brilliant throughout the process. Polly was very courteous right from the beginning when she first showed us the property, very open and transparent on the asking price, quick decisions so not to keep us lingering with uncertainties, got us introduced to Taylor Rose and gave constant support in resolving the queries promptly throughout the conveyancing period, even when she was away on her holidays. She was an absolute star in getting us to completion on our scheduled date, despite a long chain on the seller's side. She has now arranged a trusted contractor to re-decorate our house and continues to follow-up with the progress. Overall, Polly has been a star in our journey to this new home purchase and I would recommend her highly to anyone looking to buy a property.

Polly Luckhurst, Lauriston's

I was recommended Polly from Lauristons from a friend. My property had been on the market with another estate agent with very little success so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Polly was really friendly and easy to get on with. However, when it came to discussing property she was extremely focused and came up with a plan for selling it. Within 2 weeks of my house going back on the market I got an offer which was better than I expected.

I won't pretend it was plain sailing from there - there were quite a few ups and downs throughout the sale process but with her combination of experience and tenacity it was a lot easier than it might have been.

Thank you for doing such a great job for me.

Lauristons keep sending me mail shots…

Lauristons keep sending me mail shots saying how sorry they are that I haven't found a buyer for my house and how much better they could do. Well, firstly they don't know the circumstances, secondly it comes across as a form of gloating. Its not helpful. Its not constructive and in fact counter productive and just means that they go right to the bottom of the list. It is a very scummy approach

completely unprofessional - avoid at all costs!

This is a completely unprofessional estate agents for lettings. They are extremely incompetent and fail to fix issues in a timely manner.

I would go to great lengths to avoid using this estate agent as a tenant as you will be left frustrated at the impossibility of any issues being resolved. Don't make the mistake we did!

Underwhelmed

I recently asked lauristons to value my property. They turned up late. The chap was inexperienced and very underwhelming. I have given three stars because I feel sorry for them.

Lauristons lettings are appalling

Lauristons lettings are appalling. We paid for a fully managed service and had to manage the issues ourselves. The lettings team were unresponsive or just rude and had no care fir our property.

We paid for checkout for our tenants which Lauristons were suppose to be doing a full checkout for. The tenants changed the locks and Lauristons failed to tell us so we could not get into the property. They are now chasing for a checkout fee. Do not use them to manage your letting. Go to KFH

Jack Rogers - Battersea Branch

After being a landlord and having my property rented through Lauristons in Battersea, I have to say, I have finally been given an excellent property manager.

Jack started managing my property a few months ago, and started off by sending a lovely introductory email to myself and my tenants. A huge change from the past when previous managers have left without a word about their departure, or information on who took over from them.

Jack has continued to ourperform in every way, he is vigilent, pays attention to clients needs and feeds back in a quick timeframe.

Thanks Jack for restoring my faith in Lauristons.

Lauristons is the worst company I've…

Lauristons is the worst company I've dealt with in my entire life. They are extremely disorganised, and nothing moves forward in your case unless you are constantly emailing them and telling them what to do. It's as if they don't know their own policies and deadlines.

I've been waiting for my deposit to be refunded for over 6 weeks now, when the maximum deadline as per our contract was of 20 working days. The agents don't bother replying to emails anymore.

This is a very much expected conclusion to our tenancy of 2 years which ran anything but smoothly. Lauristons acted on behalf of our landlord and promised many things would be fixed and removed from the house, but we discovered literally on our move-in day that most of the things had not been done. The case became litigious and we won, because we were right.

I left a very lengthy review on Google at the beginning of our tenancy 2 years ago, and I just want to be done with them now, to never again give them my business. Don't make the same mistake as I did.

Terrible, worst agent in my life, They put their tenants' lives in danger

We live in a 2-beds flat with our little baby girl who is 10 months old.

We have moved in this flat this April. We have been complaining about a HUGE Wardrobe full of books and landlord's personal stuff that belongs to Landlord. Before we moved in, landlord asked us to allow the wardrobe to stay. However, he DID NOT state that this wardrobe is FULL with his personal stuff and locked with 3 padlocks. We have notified the council about this situation. Council called us and said the landlord has no right to keep his personal stuff in the hallway. We demand Council to write us in written form so we can forward to the agent (Lauristons Kennington) but we haven't heard from the council ever since. Our reference number is 307892

We told the agent (Lauristons Kennington) even are willing to pay to remove it but the agent was threatening us that we have no right to remove landlord's item.

Yesterday when I was mopping the floor, we discover brown maggot falling out from the wardrobe. There were 5 of them I instantly used vacumm cleaner to those bugs. Now I am seriously concerned that my family's health and my baby's is not living in a suitable condition because of the unknown items hidden and locked in the wardrobe which belongs to the landlord.

We have written so many emails to the agent (who is acting on behalf of the landlord) they decide not to act on this.

Severe hazard and damage has been caused by this wardrobe.

Rashes my baby developed when we firstly moved in this flat. We treated her with sudocream for weeks. Then the rash disappeared.
This wardrobe belongs to the landlord and is locked. We can't possibly use this wardrobe and it's taking a space that we have paid for.
My baby is learning to crawl and try to stand up, the wardrobe is taking 1/3 of the hallway space, and losing 2 wheels it's tilting. I was trapped by the baby's buggy's belt (in folding position) because there are no place for me to place the buggy.
My baby could have been hurt by the tilting wardrobe.
Moving live bugs are moving under the wardrobe, discovered on 30th July 2018.

An overweight, suspicious, tilting wardrobe can severely endanger my baby's life as she will grab anything to try to stand up. Also, she will pick up the maggot and eat it. This is endangering my baby's life. Also, landlord has infringed our right as tenant by putting his personal stuff in a flat that we are paying rent for. Worst agent ever. Unprofessional and unethical.
Comment on agent fees

Terrible service and unethical agent. They shouldn't be charging agent's fee as they are violating my right as tenants.

Unethical agent, put our baby's life in danger and take our deposit of £1400 with no evidence

Unethical agent. Stealing you £1400. When they PROMISED in the email, that we don't need to pay professional cleaning in the end of tenancy. They still deducted anyway. They are lying from the beginning to the end and put my baby's life in danger. The allow the landlord to put his personal stuff full of the whole wardrobe and it's tilting and nearly injure my baby girl. The flat was NEVER CLEANED before we move in, as the inventory check states, I can send to whoever is interested. The Manager apologised they couldn't clean my flat before we check in, and wrote to us that we do not need to pay for professional cleaning in the end of the tenancy. However, they STOLE 1400£ by charging us cleaning fee and redecoration fee and damage fee. I have the inventory report clearly states the flat was damaged, not cleaned and with marks. Before We had to write to MP, council, and finally sort it out, the manager Manu apologised and now when we checked out, they provided NO EVIDENCE at all and tried to STEAL £1400 from us. This is clearly a
