Disappointed

Wish I’d realised I was actually paying 50p more than a pdf pattern just for a photocopy of a pattern to arrive for £3.40! And not a great photocopy at that. Surely this is breaching copyright laws of the pattern designer??

My package arrived in a pathetic…

My package arrived in a pathetic condition. How can they send some many yarns in brown paper bag all the way from UK to Canada, is 16$ not enough for shipping in a better package

Edited to reflect customer service

It says my order shipped February 3. I have received no tracking number. After 11 days I emailed them and received a response. It says your PDF pattern is available in this link. I did not order a pattern I ordered and was billed for yarn. To add insult to this their is no link? Still no yarn or tracking number. I am editing my review. I heard back from them. They apologized for the mistake gave me a tracking number and my yarn was delivered today and it is just as ordered. So I am changing my rating to reflect that.

I have only myself to blame for…

I have only myself to blame for ordering yarn from them a second time! Put in an order for yarn over a month ago and still have not received it! After I put in this order, I put in 2 orders to Wool Warehouse, also in England, and received both of those orders awhile ago! This company takes their sweet time!

Excellent service

Excellent service, wool sent promptly but unfortunately colour was wrong - my mistake.
I contacted the company and had a reply by email the following morning. I returned the wool but was concerned that stock was low of the colour I wanted. They kept the 8 balls aside until they received the returned balls and posted them that day.
In all it took only 3 days to remedy my mistake.
Can’t praise them enough.

Expensive photocopy

Please be aware that you receive a colour photocopy of a knitting pattern for the price of the genuine article - £3.40. I wish that I had read more carefully! Wool arrived well enough packed and in good order.

Never again

I ordered and, of course paid for, my yarn a month & a half ago & have received nothing. I have sent emails & have gotten no response at all, despite the claim that they would resend the order if it is not delivered within 20 business days. I wish I had done more research before ordering from this site.

Extraordinary shipping Delays and Ineffective Customer Service

I placed my order on June 8th and paid for expedited shipping as Laughing Hens website recommended doing so in order to obtain tracked shipping to the US. I was told I would receive a tracking link. The order shipped on June 11th, the shipping notice did not contain a link. I was given a tracking number and told to track through my national postal service (USPS). As far as USPS and I have been able to determine as of July 1 my package still has not left the UK. There are several international tracking services available on the web and all of them say the same thing - last status as of June 13 has the package still in the UK. I have repeatedly asked them to contact the shipper to find out where this package is, and to date, they have not done so. Oddly, the filed an inquiry with the US Postal Service even though the package tracking indicates the package never reached the US. Clearly, COVID-19 has a bit to do with this lengthy delay. However, that doesn't excuse the apparent inability of Laughing Hens to accurately and effectively resolve this matter. At this point, I would advise anyone ordering from the US to not do so given lengthy delays on the part of the UK shipper and the seller's inability to deal with these delays.

Ordered a delivery even paid extra to…

Ordered a delivery even paid extra to arrive quickly. Royal Mail messed up delivery so informed them that week. No reply at all, sent a second one again no reply. Then after three weeks as advised on their FAQ still no communication, not even an acknowledgement of any email So shambolic, terrible customer service even if they are busy! Will never use or recommend to anyone. Knitting Network and Wool Warehouse far better!

Excellent Service As Always

Excellent service, as always. Great respect shown for the wool, which was tissue wrapped in various colour lots and dispatched to Australia in a well-sealed box (for which my cat, currently sitting in it, thanks you:) ) The tissue will be reused by the Scot in me!
Can't wait to knit my next batch of joey pouches with the vibrant Peruvian mountain sheep wool and alpaca wool mix. At the end of 'lock-down' I am going to have a sizable donation of joey pouches to give to Wildlife Victoria, yay!
May you all keep well, safe, and deservedly busy at 'Laughing Hens'.

Disorganised and unreliable

Then wrong quantity sent despite being charged for full amount, had to ring, apologised but could not explain error. Promised immediate posting of remainder, then email to say they didn't have enough in stock, would I like what thay had or wait for stock? Said I didn't mind as dye lot unimportant.
Today received package, again wrong quantity, again had to ring, again apologised and could not explain. Promised balance next week.
Totally shambolic. Will not use again

Pretty poor

Ordered wool first week in December. Contrasting wool,pattern book came but no main colour. Into February now and just got it sorted out. May be Christmas rush - but I had to continually prompt for a response. It took 6 weeks to tell me the main wool was no longer available. I returned contrasting wool and pattern book and promptly refunded. Disappointing - I expected better. I won't be using again.
