As little as 16 years ago this was an active, fun site for music fans. Now it's derelict. A monument to enshitification.
In this last decade, it has lost a lot of its old functionalities. It seems that Paramount/CBS doesn't prioritize this project at all. Still, it offers a unique and very cool service and that's why I... See more

Moderators and Jon Hallier embrace pedophilia and child predators.
Two days ago, I received information that the moderators were on their way to defend a child predator while simultaneously banning people for targeting him. It is nice to know that Jon Hallier is not only a horrible staff member, as others have pointed out, but he and his moderators are pedophiles in the closet. We all know what this means. It's time to contact the authorities to shut down this website for good. It's time to act.
The facts it's customer service is…
The facts it's customer service is absent/unreachable while trying to appear "open to all" is frustrating to say the least. They apply the facebook "solution" of having a "community". Where it takes forever to get into and find the right topic. You just want to talk to a person because the problem you have has no (immediate) answers.
Like when I want to change my name, just once, to avoid a stalker that's finding hidden messages a lá john lennon murderer, in the songs that I scrobble. Even without public scrobbling because there are no options for the music reports which is always open to all, even logged out.
So I desperately email their business email, I get back a form to fill out which they then never respond to.
So I pull my money, because why not force a pro account out of a scared stalkee-. €4,99 to change my name. Fine, you win. I cancel the sub immediately after because I know how these sneaky things work. But of course, the second month came, and another of my €4,99 went. Luckily paypal helped, but my god. Why the struggle.
Wow, what a horrible website!
I was chatting to someone today about how we found music before Spotify and we remembered Last FM. Wow, what a MASSIVE dissapointment when we went back! WTF has happened? Useless, trying to charge before you listen...what a joke. Goodbye, for the final time Last FM
It's the Best
I have been using Last.fm since around 6 May, and it works well, other than having to set some settings to scrobble music. I love the reports :)
No option to play the song
Joined to listen to a mash up song. Didn't play. Bad website . Unsubsrcibed within 10 minutes
2 stars because i still use it and i am…
2 stars because i still use it and i am still quite new to the platform, but it feels like staring at an abandoned factory and seeing workers shuffling in the windows. there is basically no mod team and no new features. its like a time capsule to 2014, but like a really unpleasant one.
Used to be great
Last.fm used to be such an amazing and user friendly website. I had so much fun discovering music, chatting with my friends here through "shouts" all the way back from 2010. Sadly, now, it's paywalled wasteland of memories. If you still want to be relevant, introduce Apple Music as playback source, at least, what the hell?
Last FM is a fraud website
Last FM is a fraud website. It gets you to put in orders and will "pay" to boost their viewing. They than do "combo" orders which makes it so you have to put in money to get your pay. You put your money in to get your money out and another "combo" order comes up. First it wanted 853.44 USD so I could get my pay. Now it wants 1895.64 USD so I can get my pay
Last FM is a fraudulent platform that just takes your money I've lost almost 10000 to them and now they want another 10k from me to get my money so I would advise everyone to stay clear from them
Last FM is a fraudulent website in total they took 10k from me and they want me to give them another 10k to get my money back so my advice is to stay clear from them unless you like giving your money away
Worst music site
There's nothing good about it.
The users- AWFUL. Everyone's arguing, being hypocritical, and screaming slurs. Nobody can't agree on anything. Don't like an artist they like? Fvck you! K!ll yourself! Do like an artist they don't like? Fvck you! K!ll yourself! Nobody wins anything
The mods: Don't do anything. They'll ban you for putting a goofy image on a fake album but are apparently blind by the users (Look at any popular artist shoutbox, they should close shoutboxes all together atp). I know they have lives, but its like they're just mods to look cool.
Layout: Also awful! Don't get the mobile app. It doesn't even work half of the time. The website isn't better either. Buggy mess. Scrobbles would just stop. GIFs never load. You can block yourself, fun fact! The redirecting is awful, speaking of redirecting:
Redirecting: THE. WORST. Anything remastered isn't on any album apparently. Alternate streaming titles don't redirect to their original. Some artists redirect to completely different. Lucki (the rapper) redirects to lucky star (a pop group) how TF does that make sense?!? BTW the website knows how bad the redirect is, and locks any edits to lucky star! TF??? JUST MAKE A LUCKI PAGE!! Noah cyrus (an actual musician) always redirects to miley cyrus. They say to "just go to settings and get rid of re-directing" but they hide it like its some secret code.
The good: The idea. That's literally it. The idea of tracking your music, getting recs and seeing your top songs/artists/albums? Sounds cool! How TF do you mess that up? Being last.fm.
I loved this service, but they are not ripping of
I loved this service. However, they are now doubling their price, making it anything but worth the price anymore. Time to seek an alternative. Too bad that greed took over.
Just Good.
Maybe it's because I didn't use last.fm during its peak, but I think that last.fm is a great service. It satisfies a specific niche, and does a really good job at it. It's actually one of my favorite things. It feels like a service that was actually made for me.
Still absolutely great stats
Still an absolutely great site for the stuff I use it for: stats about my music consumption.

last fm are so desperate for google…
Last FM are so desperate for Google's attention and to boost their own DA, that they breach copyright and use other people's meta titles as their own, which is highly illegal, we tried to approach them fairly and asked them to do the right thing, but they abruptly responded, some poor business owner called Tara and agreed to remove but hasn't done so, we have full intentions of taking this as far as we can, as we don't want to be associated with what we classify as "fraud." Last fm if you are a good product for consumers, why do you need to copy others copyright material? Pathetic!!
What should be basic features hidden behind a paywall
I've used Last.fm since 2009 and nearly after the website at one point after they went through a complete revamp that was negatively received by the community. I have however stuck with them because I have a weakness for the sort of stats about the music I've played that they still offer.
Unfortunately I can't honestly say that if I hadn't already been a member of their platform that I might have signed up had I discovered it in much more recent years. Many features I once enjoyed have been taken away entirely such as being able to write a blog via the platform and join groups of like-minded uses. Profile customisation has also over the years been made much, much more limited.
These days Last.fm operates a subscriber feature, Last.fm Pro. I'm neither a subscriber to this or plan to be as I don't believe it to offer features to be worth the money they ask, which is £3/month or £30/year. If it was a one time fee deal I might have bit the bullet on it, but it's not. I also resent the idea of having to pay for features that I either once already had on Last.fm but were taken away from me to stick behind a paywall but also that the paywall hides what I feel should be some pretty basic, quality of life features for the platform, including the ability to change your username. I don't actually want to do that, but if I did, it's not unreasonable to expect to have the option without having to pay for it.
All Pro really offers is extra stats that I can live without and advanced editing tools for your profile, most of which there are free or one time fee third party alternatives available.
great website but poorly explored
great website but poorly explored. Has it flaws when it comes to duplicate artists, as they redirect a lot of pages. Also they mostly don't care about user suggestions bcs they don't do shi- and don't really fix things. It's just basically really poorly explored but still one of my fav websites.
This site used to be so good
This site used to be so good, now it is only a sad shadow of its former self. Half or more of the music you want to listen to will not even be available to play. So sad.
