The Worst Experience of My Life at Laforetta Pizzeria
I used to love this place, but after what happened today, I will never return — and I strongly advise others to think twice before visiting.
I came in with my 4-year-old daughter and ordered a chicken and potato slice. When it came to toppings, I asked politely for pesto and a bit of chili. I noticed it wasn’t the type of chili I expected, so I asked for just a little more. The man behind the counter suddenly looked annoyed and added an excessive amount — clearly on purpose.
Trying to remain calm, I then asked for extra crème fraîche. He added a tiny bit, so I kindly asked for a little more. Out of nowhere, he slammed his hand on the counter three times and said, loudly and aggressively:
“What do you actually want? Don’t try to act smart with me!”
I was completely shocked. My daughter became frightened and walked out of the restaurant. I asked him why he was reacting that way, and he said:
“Because you’re trying to act smart!”
I replied that I wasn’t — I was simply asking for more of the toppings I requested. Then he got even more agitated and shouted:
“Don’t tell me to calm down in my own restaurant! Get out!”
I told him fine, I would never come back — and as I turned to leave, he threw the food I had paid for straight into the trash.
This used to be one of my favorite spots. But today, it became the scene of one of the most disrespectful and uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had — in front of my child, no less. No one deserves to be treated like that. The attitude, the aggression, and the lack of professionalism were unbelievable.
Deeply disappointing. I won’t be back.
