regarding the installation delay and communication style
We have been discussing the installation of our charging station with the company for more than a month. We were told that the installation could not be carried out earlier because their electricians were on holiday, which we understood and accepted.
However, we had clearly explained that the cabling was time-sensitive because a wooden deck is being installed over the cable route in our garden. Installing the cable afterwards will become much more difficult. For this reason, we specifically tried to arrange at least the cabling before the deck was completed.
Instead of someone visiting the property as originally discussed, we had a video call with the company. We cooperated with this solution and expected the actual installation to be arranged shortly after the holiday period.
After waiting more than a month, we contacted them again and asked for the earliest possible installation date. We were then offered a date almost another month later.
When we simply asked why we had to wait another month after already waiting throughout their holiday period, the response from their representative was:
“Oke than we can't do the assignment. Maybe another company can do it for you.”
We found this response extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We had been patient, flexible and had adapted our own planning around their availability. We did not cancel the assignment; we only asked for an explanation and an earlier solution because of the time-sensitive cabling.
We formally contacted the management and gave the company an opportunity to resolve the situation, but unfortunately no response provided.
