Do yourself a favour and avoid this company

(this review is about Kvik København Vesterport)
Like another reviewer mentions below, everything was fine until we paid. The installation should happen in two stages - cabinets installed first and then 10 days later the bordpladde.

The cabinets installation was terrible, the workmanship was such bad quality, it took twice as long as indicated and was left unfinished without an explanation.

Once the bordpladde was delivered, it then took many many calls and emails to kvik (and eventually directly to the carpenter firm) to find out when it was going to be installed (all the while our family do not have a working kitchen). This was installed in a rush, incorrectly, and the unfinished parts of the kitchen were still left unfinished.

Kvik said someone would come to finish the kitchen but no one did. Many mails and calls later, kvik finally agree to send a different carpenter firm. This carpenter says the job is so bad, the kitchen need to be pulled out. Queue many more weeks of waiting with an unfinished kitchen. Even after this second carpenter came, the workmanship is not good - and it is far from the high quality danish product they advertise.

On kvik's website they write a lot about the customer being the focus - I have never in my life had such a stressful experience as I have had with them - there is no customer service, they do not care once they have your money, and the end product is low quality.
(We even found that they had somehow added a few thousand kroner to our bill without an explanation.) At no point has anyone from kvik checked to see if our kitchen has been installed or is ok.

I think if I had gone to Ikea, had to design our kitchen and then pick out every element of the kitchen, and then install it all myself, I would not have had the hassle, the annoyance, and the low quality result that we have had with kvik.

I do not recommend this company.

Horrible building work and customer…

Horrible building work and customer service. We got served by a man in the Copenhagen Kvik. All well and good until we paid.

After we paid he stopped replying to any emails about delivery.

The carpenters Kvik then hired were awful and did extremely poor work. They broke our window frame and damaged ceilings. The carpenters also didn’t finish all kitchen cupboards, the wardrobe was not at all like the picture we had drawn together. No dishwasher had arrived and no one had said it was delayed. We complained to Kviks deller and he claimed that this is what happens when you build kitchens. I had to call and harass Kvik so much before they agreed to send carpenters and fix all these issues as well as painters to fix the damages.

Then when we move in we realize that Kviks deller has sent us a solution with a pedal that he can then not install so we can not open one tall kitchen cupboard.

On top of this I realize that Kvik has sent and installed another dishwasher than the one we ordered. We ordered a Siemens and got a Neff. No one in Kvik has told us about the change and when I complain and request the Siemens one they say I am rude for not appreciating that they sent me a 1,000kr more expensive one. Like seriously, if I do research and conclude Siemens is preferred then you don’t send me another brand.

I would recommend you to use your own carpenters and buy from someone else, not KVIK. They are not worth the money and their work and customer service is dishonest and of very poor quality. It will save you quite some headaches to use any other company.

Good service after a bad delivery

I ordered a wardrobe from Kvik Glostrup around 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the wardrobe came with scratches and bumps, because it had fallen during the loading at the transportation truck. It was disappointing to have a broken wardrobe delivered, but after communication with Lykke, she offered a new wardrobe plus free assembly from their guys. I think that the customer service was very good and Lykke accepted my complaints and the compensation I asked for.
In general, I would say that a bad experience turned into a good one due to their customer service. I still believe that it depends on which store you will go, since we had a very bad service from Karsten from Ishøj.

Great customer service by Kvik Vesterbro

We have had a problem in our Kvik kitchen for 2 years and it was ignored. However, new people from Kvik reacted to the problem and handled it very well, replacing the table top and other things that were wrong. Especial thanks to Per (and Michael) from Kvik Vesterbro, who did a very professional job. Great customer service.
Remember you buy a product and its customer service, not just the product itself.

WARNING! DO NOT USE KVIK

They still haven't given me two wardrobe covers after about 10 emails and 10 phone calls. They say they send it, but I have proof that they have not. Terrible customer service, after being a good customer spending a lot of money on two projects.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY!!!

RUN AWAY!!

RUN AWAY!!! any other one EXCEPT Kvik ..... A nice design BUT THAT'S ALL! a deplorable order process, no advice, incorrect information, problems with the installation, delivery errors and of course for almost 3 months no answer ..... to our mails, phone etc ....

Excellent experience with Kvik København, disappointment with Kvik Roskilde

In 2013 we got a kitchen and installation from the Copenhagen store. We were happy with both the process (no delays) and the result (a very nice kitchen). The Kvik carpenter was highly skilled and had an eye for quality. Kvik also handled problems well: sometime after installation, our backsplash developed a spontaneous crack and Kvik didn’t hesitate to replace it. Nothing could have gone better.

Unfortunately, we cannot say the same of Kvik Roskilde. We decided to build a house and bought the kitchen, two bathrooms, entrance and bryggers from Kvik.
It started well, with a meeting with a helpful consultant. However, one week before Kvik was supposed to start with installation, they told us that they had to delay with one week. This impacted our entire building schedule.
During the installation, we started noticing signs of poor craftsmanship; the cut-outs for electricity sockets, were done very roughly: too big and not a rectangular shape. Some of these are very visible, especially in our kitchen.
Kvik had nearly finished installation, when we were informed that they were unable to deliver the cabinet grips that we had chosen, and that they couldn’t offer us any replacement that looked similar. We ended up buying them elsewhere. This caused further delay.
But these were just small problems. We also found out that Kvik forgot to install a metal plate under our countertop island to support the overhanging breakfast bar. During the sales meeting, we were told that it was necessary to have this. Kvik installed a temporary piece of wood on the side, until a more final solution could be found. At the end, this ugly piece of would became a permanent solution. Afterwards, Kvik came and glued a metal plate on the bottom of the overhanging section. This is of no functional use, and it isn’t pretty either.
Whenever we noticed something, we would mention it immediately, but complaints had to go via the manager and he was not available.

Recently, a bathroom cabinet fell off the wall. It turned out that it was installed without the correct metal supports. Kvik sent a carpenter, who put the cabinet back on the wall, but it was damaged from the fall. We are still not happy with the current state of the cabinet, so we have sent mails and tried calling, but we are told we can only deal with the manager who is never available. This has been going on for nearly two months now - our last contact was weeks ago when we were told that the manager would call us, but this still hasn't happened.

In conclusion, we have had a very mixed experience with Kvik; Kvik Copenhagen did an excellent job, while we feel that Kvik Roskilde has failed us in many ways.

Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful…

Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful staff. Ordered the wrong size kitchen counter and blamed crooked walls, even though they were the ones that took the measurements. Their carpenters left early and left the work uncompleted, and head office told me they would 'get back to me' about when they would finish the work... but then didn't. When asked, was told 'the rest of your kitchen is fine, just start using it'... unbelievable. I highly recommend avoiding Kvik.

Worst purshase I ever done.

Worst purshase I ever done. Whatever you do, do not shop from this store!!!! Never been so riped off.
* To complete the delivery took them over 2 months
* The oven I bought through Kvik doesn't work
* The technician cancel their visit one day before.
* Parts of the order was not delivered at all.
* They sent the wrong dept for shelves.
* All drawers is 1 cm to short to fit with Ikea stuff. Ikea is the biggest actor on the market so you would think smaller stores like Kvik should addapt to be compatible.
* They answers emails on avarage 1/3.
* They recommended a firm that didn't do a single thing correct.
> The first guy talked only Russian
> The second guy talked pretty bad English.
> They destroyed the ballofix so water could no longer be turned off.
> They connected the waterhose directly only the pipes so we lived with risk for water leakage for 3 weeks straight.
> They haven't applied sillekon on all places that should have it.
> They mixed different color sillekon.
> They caused damages on fridge and refrigirator.
> They mounted stuff infront of poweroutlets so powercords could no longer be pulled out.

Very poor service from Kuune Belgium / poor after sales service from Danish Head office

We were very excited in the beginning - a reasonably price kitchen that is not IKEA! The showroom was nice and the salesman polite - but our issue started because we were misadvised about the size of the fridge/freezer to buy. Basically it doesn't fit the cupboard doors so it can not be integrated as any normal standard kitchen design. It has been over a year that we have been asking help to adapt the unit to at least solve the issue - We have got nowhere with either the store itself (who accused us of lying) and the head office doesn't care - they offered to sell us an ex-demo fridge that fits! Problem 2 - building the kitchen is so complicated, it is not like IKEA which we were told (by the Kuurne store) it was just as simple - it really isn't when we called for help, it was a bother for them! Problem 3 the Jetstone work top isn't fit for purpose, it easily stains (even putting a wet mug down leaves a ring / not to mention wine or coffee!) As well as this it is bowed where the cut out for the sink is - Kuurne accused us of mistreating the top and not being clean! Basically after a year of trying we were sent a bottle of their own brand 'Cif' through the post!! Once they have you money they really do not care at all - Kvik are franchise so independently run, Kuurne Belgium are a cowboy outfit who really don't care. Maybe you might have a better chance at another Kvik store. In the future I won't be buying their products and today I certainly do not recommend them.
