I found my new car at krifer.com I…

I found my new car at krifer.com I called the dealership to testdrive. We met with the business owner Frank same day afternoon, the car was same condition as expected, and after a negotiation we purchased the car. I love my BMW and recommended to make deal with these guys.

Terrible experience at Krifer Auto LLC

Purchasing a used vehicle at Krifer Auto was easy and I had no initial problems. The business owner seemed like a decent guy and I assumed everything would be stress-free. However, the ability to receive help afterward has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was initially informed that the vehicle had "no major repairs or damage" although while driving on the highway the engine caught on fire. At that point, I reached out to the business owner in hopes of a quick and easy solution. When discussing the options to resolve this issue, I suggested a refund, free repair work, or an equivalent replacement vehicle.
Unfortunately, the business owner of Krifer Auto was on vacation and wouldn’t be back for two weeks. In that time frame, I decided to have the vehicle towed to the nearest branded dealership to have them run diagnostics. The dealership concluded there were several unresolved recalls, in addition to preexisting faulty repairs that could have easily caused the vehicle to explode while operating. Overall, the vehicle was deemed not safe to drive on the roadway and that the cost of repairs alone would surpass the value of the vehicle.
Once the business owner of Krifer Auto was back from his vacation, I reached out again to see if we could come to a mutual agreement on how to best resolve this issue. Nonetheless, the business owner opted to say he would have his personal mechanic try to repair the vehicle for as cheap as possible, but I’d still have to cover the remainder of the expenditures. All in all, at the purchase price of $5,000 total, I have a vehicle that I drove for less than 500 miles and lasted all of about three weeks before needing serious repair work.
In the end, I understand it’s a used vehicle; however, any of the preexisting faults should have been disclosed at the time of sale. This issue has been a strenuous process resulting in the relinquishment of my own time, money, and energy. All that remains now is the hope that there’s an appropriate solution to this problem.
