Shady and Non-Deceptive Business
I booked a train pass through Klook and needed to cancel/rebook. Nowhere on their website, in their chatbot, or in their FAQ is any cancellation fee mentioned before you buy. It's only once you actually try to cancel or change your booking that a 20% surcharge suddenly appears.
The fine print reads: "Until 1 hour before departure: 20% of ticket price (any fulfilment or seat preference fees, if charged, will be refunded)." The wording is designed to confuse — it sounds like fees get refunded, but really it means you forfeit 20% of the ticket price just to make a change, with zero warning anywhere in the booking flow.
This company is shady. They bury the real costs where you won't see them until you're already locked in, and then hide behind fine print when you push back. Save yourself the headache and book directly with the train operator or through a more transparent platform — there are better options out there that don't rely on tricking customers to pad their margins.
