I just paid a service company over $600 to repair our double oven. Turns out the 2 rivets holding the door-close switch failed presumably during a self cleaning cycle. The rivets appear to be aluminum... See more

waiting a month for my machine
I ordered a KitchenAid kitchen machine, but I received it damaged and had to return it. They promised to send me a new one, but I never received the replacement. It has been delayed for a month, and customer service is doing nothing to fix it. They won’t submit a claim with UPS to search for the package. Meanwhile, I still don’t have the machine I paid for.
Worst Customer Service,
Worst Customer Service,
I called to report that my 2 monthd old mixer overheated, I am mixing a dough on speed 2. FYI this is the second time I used since it was gifted to me. I was told that I should just use it for 4 minutes no longer than that then the rest I should use my hand to knead it. Seriously? I bought this machine to lessen the use of my hand due to carpal tunnel but he just blamed me for relying too much on ‘technology’. Plus the waiting time took about 20 minutes and this is all I get after waiting. Bad customer service all he said he can’t help me🤬🤬🤬
They stink in every way
They stink in every way. I would never buy ANY product of theirs. Deceptive website regarding replacement part (water filter) for my model refrigerator. They have built in obsolescence. I paid for initial shipping and the return shipping for a total of $20 for one water filter. Phone and chat support is terrible too.

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Customer Service
I am deeply disappointed with my experience with KitchenAid. I returned an unused stand mixer after one week, expecting a quick and straightforward refund. Instead, I encountered a process that was slow, outdated, and extremely unprofessional.
KitchenAid does not allow online returns, which forced me to spend two hours on the phone just to initiate the return. They informed me that refunds are issued only by check, even though I paid with a credit card — an unreasonable and outdated policy.
Three weeks passed after I shipped the product back, and I received no refund and no communication.
When I called again, I spent 2.5 more hours on hold, only to be told they planned to refund $50 less than the amount I paid. There was no clear justification for this deduction. After insisting and escalating the issue, they finally agreed to return the full amount, but it should never require this level of effort from a customer.
I was then told I must wait another week for them to “prepare” the check and up to 20 additional days for delivery. This entire process is unreasonable for a company of this size and reputation.
KitchenAid’s customer service is inefficient, outdated, and not at all customer-focused. I strongly advise others to be cautious when purchasing from them.

Bought a KitchenAid using their website. No confirmation email was received. I phoned the customer service. They couldn't find the order, even though the money had left my account. It was finally sorted out a few days later. I then received confirmation that my product had been delivered, which it hasn't. I phoned customer service, and their line was so bad that they couldn't hear me. I wish I had never purchased.
Bought a $1000 kitchenaid dishwasher…
Bought a $1000 kitchenaid dishwasher from home depot, at 13 months it went out, they charged me $340 to have a certified repair man come out(made me look stupid for not buying the extended warranty). He came out 3 times, never fixed it correctly, then Whirlpool told me it was out of warranty AGAIN, and it would be another $340, that i should of got the extended warranty! I told them I would wash them by hand before I bought another one of their products, they told me ok, then hung up. Whirlpool is a POS company, and i hope they go bankrupt.
Quality not as expected
Quality not as expected. I have had to replace Variable temperature KitchenAid 1.5 L kettle twice. The K400 blender has also packed up. The glass jar blades/bearing leaked which I replaced and I'm guessing damaged the motor. Lastly I have a Tilt-head 4.7L mixer that does't turn off, only by switching off at the wall.

Bought the kitchen aid artisan…700…not worth it. Handle to move bowl up and down had a plastic piece on the inside and it broke meaning handle will. Of work.
They want me to send it to the uk for 3 weeks to fix…
Deceptive advertising very limited customer service
On more than one occasion I received a coupon offer from KitchenAid and when I went to apply it it didn't work. These were offered sent directly to me one was a welcome offer for signing up for emails, another was an offer directly on their website so these were not unsolicited scams. In both occasions I tried to make a significant purchase using the coupon during the weekend and it didn't work. Customer service is only available very limited hours during the week so I had to wait till Monday to call. On hold for over 30 minutes each time. One time they placed the order with the coupon manually I didn't hear anything for over a week called again to find out the item was out of stock but I was not notified. Again waited on hold for extremely long time finally canceled the order because they could not give me a date when it could be restocked. Second time, on Monday when I called back the item had increased in price by $200 and they would not honor the price I saw on Sunday that the coupon would not work. They are engaging in deceptive practices by sending out an advertising coupons that don't really work and then you can't reach customer service to fix it. I really I really want one of their mixers and I'm so frustrated that they are going to profit even if I purchase from a different site
Terrible chat service
Terrible chat service. Same with waiting on the phone. They don’t even have an option to contact Customer Service about products like defective can openers.
World's Worst Service
Customer service is the worst I've ever seen.
The oven stopped working so we called KitchenAid for service. How did they screw this up? Let me count the ways:
1: Talked us into a 12 month contract which would include the fix. Service rep to arrive today. Instead, you sent someone to our old house that we had 4 years ago despite us giving you the correct address.
2: Called you back (waited an hour on the phone to talk to you) to get someone sent to the correct address. You rescheduled for Nov 7th. Then I called the service company you said was coming out to ensure they were really coming (Last time you did this to us, you scheduled for our ice maker a month out. Then I called the service tech on the appointed day only to be told that they notified you a month earlier that they could not come on that day, so we waited a month for nothing). You are consistent if nothing else because you did it again. The service rep can NOT come on the 7th, but only on the 13th.
3: Service rep cannot make that appointment for me, however, because your rep did not submit this under the service contract we bought. Therefore I'd have to pay them on top of what I paid you for the contract.
4: Your reps not only neglected to verify the service address, but they also entered the phone number completely wrong. It's a phone number we've never heard of before and nowhere close the what our real phone number is.
5: I tried to call you Contract department back to fix all this, but because your rep entered the entire thing under the wrong phone number, your automated system can't find me. Will is then put me through to a person to correct the issue? Nope, that would be too customer-friendly. Instead, you just hang up on my automatically.
Classy!!!
NEVER BUYING A KITCHENAID EVER AGAIN (Or affiliated brand!)
Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience – I can no longer recommend KitchenAid
I bought my KitchenAid semi-automatic coffee machine in December 2024.
After the first week I was so happy that I even left a great review on their website — but only a week later the nightmare started.
The machine suddenly stopped working. I sent it in for repair and got it back, supposedly fixed — but over the following months more and more problems appeared.
For example, the water container kept filling up by itself after just 1–2 days, even when I hardly made any coffee. After the first cleaning cycle, the cleaning/reset light started blinking continuously and never stopped.
I contacted KitchenAid again. They picked up the machine and kept it for almost a month. When it finally came back, nothing had changed.
Worse — the original box was completely damaged, I had to throw it away, and the machine itself had new scratches and dents. Not a single issue from before was fixed.
Now they are asking me to send it in again so that the repair company can “evaluate” if I deserve a replacement.
But I no longer have a proper box (they destroyed the original one), and no local stores have a fitting replacement.
I am afraid to ship it in a non-KitchenAid box because the machine was already damaged during transport last time — even in its original packaging.
I paid for a new product and never received one that worked properly.
After a full month of “repair,” it’s obvious this machine is not fixable — KitchenAid should simply send me a new one and let me return the broken one in that box.
Instead, all I get is “send it back in a box.”
That’s not customer service — that’s ignoring a loyal customer.
I had planned to replace all my kitchen appliances with KitchenAid products, but after this experience (and problems with other KitchenAid items I purchased, where i willl write later more about), I’ve changed my mind.
Extremely disappointed. No customer service. Would not recommend KitchenAid anymore.
I am honestly am not sure why…
I am honestly am not sure why KitchenAid has such terrible reviewws on here, but I am extremely satisfied with my experience I purchased a kitchen suite 4 piece in specific from shopappliances.com and I just love the new line of appliances that they came out with. I got the bronze accessories to go with the range and refrigerator got the dishwasher as well as a microwave really loving it so far, whenever I remodel or ever need appliances for sure purchasing from KitchenAid.
KitchenAid -Worst toaster we have ever had
We purchased a Kitchen Toaster and after perservering with it we are now going to put it in the rubbish bin. It does not toast evenly, burns the outside of the toast no matter what you do . It has fancy settings down one side which are not easy to see or use and none of the make any difference. We bought Kitchen Aid as we have mixer and a blender
which we are very happy with but this time I could not recommend their toaster
I purchased a dishwasher six months…
I purchased a dishwasher six months ago. I registered it online. I have the email confirmation that I registered the warranty. Trying to arrange service through the website and it comes up model and serial not found even though the email warranty confirmation has the model and serial number and the date of purchase.
I tried to login to their website and using the forgot password option, I enter my email and I never get an email reply to reset the password. Which is weird because I certainly get all the spam they send to that email.
So far I have been on hold for one hour and fifteen minutes. If I ever get my call answered, I might come back and update my review.
Finally got my call answered and service call is scheduled. They had my warranty info based on serial number and Model number even though the website says not found.
Kitchenaid(whirlpool) no longer works for a good reputation.
We purchased Kitchenaid appliances for the entire kitchen spending thousands more than we could have thinking we were buying a higher quality product. Our refrigerator broke within the warranty period. Kitchenaid service told me they could get someone out to us within a week. (we live in a city) so now 99% of the food items in our refrigerator were ruined and needed to be thrown away. The repairman came and could not fix, was told they would order parts that will take 5-7 days to recieve. (They couldnt get sooner thru Amazon or anything, even though I see parts available for next day delivery) a week goes by, tech comes out, they tell me its fixed, we have a Costco order deliver new groceries, turns out the next morning refrigerator is not working, called customer service and was told to give it up to 24 hours for it to get cold, that night things were thawed out. I called Kitchenaid service again and asked if they would give me some sort of a discount coupon and I would go buy a smaller refrigerator to put the food items in and then when this whole thing was over my family would have an overflow refrigerator. The agent told me she could offer us a coupon for 15% off the retail price of any of the Whirlpool products that they sell from an online store that offers shipping in 5-7 days??? How would that help us? Just today, at day 19 a repairman came with new parts to fix and they cant fix it, they need to order more parts and said he didnt know if they were in stock at this point or if they need to order- but I can call tomorrow and find out. Now my wife is upset with me because I havent made Kitchenaid provide us with a brand new refrigerator. Dont know what to do- seems like nobody cares anymore. Kitchenaid sure doesnt.

If I could rate them with negative stars I would. Horrible customer service.
Poor repairs of extraordinary high price.AVOID at all costs
I wish i could give them 0 stars
I wish i could give them 0 stars. This company is impossible to get a hold of. They give you all these prompts and then the phone just hangs up. Tried to talk to an actual person but both times i called it took over an hour for someone to get on the line. We called them originally to have them send out a repair man. They gave us a third party repair group and we scheduled apt, no call no show no nothing. Booked a second apt same thing no call no show no text. Us, being idiots, decided to use them one more time because we had already paid them 145 dollars and what do you know same thing no call no text no show. i am beyond aggravated at this point and i will never buy another piece of kitchen aid garbage.
Bad product KitchenAid Microwave
I built a new house and began to reside there 4/28/23. Fast forward 2 years the kitchenaid microwave stopped heating our food. The worst part, is finding out from Don's Appliance in Tyler Texas that's it's unrepairable. Are you kidding me unrepairable? Why wouldn't they warn me about this horrible warranty and tell me that if it breaks down it cant be repaired? I paid for the top of the line product and no one at the store warned me in advance that it cant be fixed. I think thats a terrible way to do business and I think KitchenAid is the worst appliance manufacturer ever! Oh and by the way, I called KitchenAid, waited on hold for 2.5 hours, to see if they could help me. Bottom line is they offered a measly 20 percent off of I bought another inferior KitchenAid microwave. Im currently reporting the store and manufacturer to the Better Business Bureau! Bottom line is save your money and buy from another manufacturer and another store thats credible!! Caveat Emptor
BUYER BEWARE!! Cheap cheap cheap
BUYER BEWARE!!! Horrible experience with a high end range. Knobs came apart after 2 years of course waranty is out they try to sell you a 1 year warranty at 500$ for 12 months... no thank you. Not normal that the knobs come apart and cut open my fingers. They finally admitted it was abnormal and replaced the range
Less than 2 years after receiving the new one the control panel stops working making it hazardous for fire as if you happen to touch it it will turn on the oven and you won't be aware of it and that could cause a fire. I called them and they refused to admit this was not normal and tried to sell me a warranty...
Basically they are aware their products are mediocre and want to make money off of their trusting consumers
This brand is NOT what it was before
I will have to take legal action as this is unacceptable and a grand injustice to all hard working people that trust in their brand and give them their hard earned money
So BUYER BEWARE Do NOT purchase a kitchen aid or whirlpool appliance. They are extremely low quality and if you don't buy a warranty on top of the high price of the appliance you will have a high price to pay financially and with your valued time.
