Gets Worse Everytime It's "Improved"

I've been using Kinomap for 18 months. Generally I'd rate it 3 stars, the interface is often "improved" but remains extremely clunky and disorganised. Features disappear, support says they'll come back but the haven't. Occasionally your activity is not recorded, traumatic if you're working on one of challenges. For the last week none of my activities have been recorded. I've sen temails, got the response "It's now fixed" but it isn't. Probably barely 2 stars now.
Update. My last three activities appeared, even though I had a mesage from support to say the data was lost. I'm upping to 3 stars but I've also subscribed to Rouvy just for my cycling activities.

Recurring bug and poor support – Monthly stats are broken!

"I am extremely disappointed. For two months in a row, the app has failed to record my final rides of the month in the statistical summary. Specifically, the following rides are missing:

Jan 31st, 2026: Andorra
Feb 28th, 2026, 19:51: Challenge ☀️🚴🌳 Road to Orakei Korato

As a user, I rely on these statistics to track my progress, but the data is simply incorrect. I have reported this multiple times, yet the bug remains unresolved and unrecorded rides are piling up. It is frustrating to pay for a service that can't even handle basic data synchronization. Fix this bug immediately, as it is making the app's tracking features useless!"

Not worth it

Honestly, don’t bother. The amount of times I’ve have to try and reconnect my bike due to connection issues. Getting help, also gets you nowhere, you’re just sent a page from the manual, which states all the things you were trying to do, I’m sure there are much better options out there, I’m certainly going
to be looking for one.

A great company getting a bad press on here…

A good company is getting a bad press here. Kinomap is great. `i expect most people's problems could be sorted out just from taking the time to search properly. Then, if they can't find the answer they could ask for help - not by the chat bot thing - why would anyone use one of those horrible things for a real problem? Just by emailing. Yes they may take a day or two, but that's just the way it goes. People are too used to having things instantly. But search and you will probably find!

Brilliant company

Brilliant company, great app, 10/10 on technical problems side, it's more than likely your android device at fault, especially if you have not used the app for a while, android will remove permissions causing faults

Support has givin up on me.

The app seems to lack the necessary code to connect to the Focus JET 7 IPLUS treadmill. While another older app connects via Bluetooth, Kinomap doesn’t. I contacted support (case #139349), and although they initially tried to help, I haven’t received a response since October 26. It feels like they’ve given up and blame the issue on my end, which makes no sense. As an IT graduate, I’m confident the Bluetooth works—this is an app issue.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service - i would have given 0 stars but there wasn't room. Expect automated replies that are no help whatsoever. Expect great difficulty getting to speak to a human and then delays of several days in response time, with responses unhelpful. So dreadful I never got to use the programme so I cannot comment on that.

awful support, they don't properly support the most popular fitness equipment(garmin). Video uploads are totally broken, I cant properly synchronize video to gpx. Very amateur company.

poor company to deal with

Generally pretty poor and poor company to interact with. Auto-renew and no cancelation window so have spent a load of money for a service I'll never use.

Don't take out a subscription with them!

I went to stop my subscription 7 months ago and got fooled into pausing the subscription for 6 months. You don't get any email confirmation at the time and you don't get any email to say your subscription has started again. It's all a con to get a little more money out of you.

I asked for my money back for the unused service, they replied to the first email refusing it, but ignored the second.

You can't even claim the money back from your bank as they don't use DD for their service. It comes straight from your bank account.

Do not give them your bank details!

Good video, rubbish search /strava sync

In possession of a new TacX Neo bike so me and the wife are trialling apps with a view to annual memberships.
We're both of average experience and skill (numerous sportives and tours), so know what we're doing.
So Kinomap was next up. Signing on seemed mandatory, but it only gave Zip Codes on the address (so no user comes from outside USA then) and the birthday just had this month showing with the only option to change was a month back every time you pressed the back arrow. So that's 740 clicks for me? Er, no.
Onto the pzazz, you have to go back to the website to get the map, remember the name of the ride you've found and go into the app - why do apps do this. And the map never loads, not on new tablet or 2 year old phone, so that's rubbish.
No option for 'road feel' either
Looking then through the filters, seems good with length, difficulty, time, etc but results a little disappointing in detail - no map (just an opening picture) and searches revealed nothing in Corsica (OK, a little off piste) but one ride in South Africa?!
Starting a ride was easy, didn't need to download beforehand and all the stats neatly tucked into a corner.
Complete elevation journey across the top which is nice, but more on that on a minute.
Video quality excellent and no wobbling or shaking.
I found, though, the more the ride went on the more out of sync the change of gradients became - not too much, but irritating as I left the village and went up a steep hill only for the difficulty to kick in ten seconds later.
The elevation map; nothing to show how far left you have to go, not even a reminder of the total length so you can do some maths.
Whilst the gradient sections are mostly clearly marked, there always rounded off to the nearest digit for some length even when you can see subtle changes. E. g. It's 5.0%, 7.0% for the next mile and whilst a counter gives the time to the next counter, the rate doesn't seem to change no matter how fast or slow you go.
And then, at the end, it's the 'hunt the download to your device' game again.
Answer: back into website, access your ride and scroll all the way down to find your link. There was a link through the app but nothing worked.
TacX app has an immediate option at the end of a ride to download to your app

In short, good quality video and stats but why does the search and download always have to be difficult
