Not even a customer of theirs but I asked their hotline a question about currency exchanges, and the guy at the other end made a small mistake which he called back to correct about 10 later. That's a level of service and honesty I can respect.
This is a continuation from the review I wrote recently about the bank. I continually send them emails asking or I should say begging for them to respond to me. I must be on some kind of list that when they see my name they do not answer respond or anything to my request, it has been at least since January that I have not heard back from them or I haven’t heard from them at all and I need information about my account. What I even did this time is I had a newsletter and I looked on the website and I added a bunch of other peoples names into the address line to see if maybe somebody would have pity on me and get in touch with me. Nothing. No one has contacted me at all. Do any of you people know a different way to get in touch with them. I cannot even access my account because every time we pay a tax or levy another one is added and they won’t let us have a waiver to pay the imaginary added taxes from the account. Which I might add has more than enough money to pay what is due. I am at a total loss and disgusted that the bank is holding me and my account hostage.
Horrific experience, from beginning to the end - specially if you are a foreigner.
I have had an account with them for 6 years now, which is surely about to end. This year there were two times in which I needed their help:
1. I wanted to set up a pension scheme, from which I filled a form to ask for more information. Liesbeth V. has reached out to schedule a meeting, but when I replied with my availability, never heard back. It has been nearly a month now.
2. Applied for a personal loan, and never felt so disrespected. I had to follow up with the consultant multiple times, almost chasing to get an answer (either positive, or negative - I just really needed to know so I could plan other routes). A day before my deadline, which I communicated clearly from the beginning, the consultant gets back to me saying they can't help me anyway...this took me more than 2 weeks.
This bank, among the other banks I have contacted, was the best solution provider in my case. Most of the banks in Denmark require a ton of documentations to open an account. Big thanks Jyske Bank team!
I received calls from three individuals, each one more challenging to communicate with than the last. The third person spoke to me as if I were a criminal, posing frustratingly unintelligent questions. To add to the frustration, he mentioned that if we opt not to open a business account, they would reject us as private customers. This experience has left me with the impression that your bank is among the least favourable in Denmark.
Thanks Mattias for very a very good service at gamlekongevej branch
There is no zero star else I would have given that.
Very rude contact support.

Bank actively discriminates and goes against Directive 2014/92/EU on the comparability of fees related to payment accounts, payment account switching and access to payment accounts with basic features.
Utterly garbage customer service, that are either extremely misinformed on how the law works or just arrogant enough to lie straight to your face.
One of the responsibles did not speak passable english and then the customer is at fault for them misinterpreting information which "they then cannot change".
Too bad they completely forget not everyone will just lay down and accept this treatment. Off to write to the European comission.

Very poor experience over 5 and half years, no benefits, very unwilling employees, never approve loans, always reluctant, ..., so so so disappointed that I will move to another bank.

If I could give them a 0x10 I would. Worst experience of my life. My money and I are being held hostage not being able to access my account. First it was some tax we had to pay and then an insurance fee. The tax and fee was paid and still no access. It’s been months and instill cannot access my money. The help is arrogant but they rarely come online. I don’t know who else to contact to gain access to my funds. Can someone contact me please. Thank you.

I need to choose only one star to write my review but I if I could, I would have given no start to its customer service. Aggressive and extremely impolite.

Worst bank I have ever been a customer of. Whether you are a foreigner or a small business, do yourself a favor and stay away from it. Their support is basically useless, I experienced issues with international transfers from my customers and every time I would get in touch with their support I would get different excuses and no help whatsoever. When I asked for a meeting, I was literally denied it. While most banks promptly removed negative interests, Jyske took its sweet time to follow suit and charged it for as long as they could. I’m not sure whether this is a treatment reserved to foreigners (I'll give them the benefit of the doubt), but I really felt slighted and far from being a valued customer. After their last blunder dated today (which is probably going to cost me 19.000 DKK and one of my best customers), I am happy to say I am no longer their customer and have officially switched to a new bank.

I’m a foreigner and tried to be their customer. After booked meeting online they called me and asked me a lot wired questions.
1) Where’s my money from? I told them from salary and they kept asking if I have other cash income.
2) Why do I choose this bank? Is that because the former bank blocked my account?( I just want open an account that simple easy purpose)
3) I’m a share holder of a company, the company account was located in Danskbank, they told me I must move my private account and company account into Jyske Bank, that means if I would like to change my private account must to change my private and the company and my company partner’s private account.
4) I told them my friend recommended me to this bank and then keeping asking me who’s my friend.
So rude and arrogant conversation, really bad experience.

Worst banking experience ever. I’ve had bank accounts in 7 different banks in 3 different countries over the years and this has been by far the worst experience. Starting by blocking my betalingservice account without informing me and this lead to me getting charged with late fees as the payments never went through. Followed by the inability to make same day transfers during weekends even to other local banks. Add to that not being able to check your account online at certain hours because “ The bank is closed”. The final straw was the arrogant, disrespectful and mean communication. I was told that I am not allowed to deposit cash at my account because I didn’t provide information about where the money came from despite filling a form stating that exactly, follow that by an ultimatum to stop “that behaviour”.
I sent them a message after that asking to close my account because of the disrespectful way of communication, which they did instantly. But later I received a message that they blocked my card due to misuse or money laundry. This bank is in dire need for proper reform.

I have been a customer, holding stocks, given to me by my late grandmother, in Jyske Bank for many years!
A couple of years ago, they changed their policies, so you had to sign up for a subscription to access your netbank. Since I only held my shares there, I figured there was no reason to pay for access, as I would receive my bank statements in my e-boks. This would be free of charge. Fine.
However, as of April 2022 I had (and I presume all private customers) to pay a monthly fee, of I believe 40 DKK, to have my account and stocks in their bank - still with no kind of access but the statements in my e-boks. As soon as I received the invoice I was a bit baffled, as they sent out the notification in December - and I had completely forgot (my bad!) - last year about the changes to their terms of use.
At this point their greed has exceeded even my expectations. I immediately transferred the stocks to my current bank, and paid the fee due on the account. They did respond "fairly" quickly in July to my very sour inquiries (and this is a rarity for me), to provide details for the transfer, which completed primo-August My current bank did warn me they would likely charge a fee for the transfer of stocks, which I received yesterday - and I still have not received any notification on closed accounts, which leads me to believe I will have to pay another monthly fee to this ****hole bank.
I only hold on to the stocks because they were gifted to me by my late grandmother. But maybe it is time to sell.

After 10 years I'm moving away from my company due to the arrogant and discriminative behavior of their people. Horrible bank.
Jyske bank does not give a loan to me even I am an EU citizen and married with a dane. Unfortunately the sad part, my husband has been also punished that he is not married with a dane, he could not get a loan aswell because of me ( marriage with a non-dane). As a couple if I were a dane, I would get the loan from Jyske bank what we asked for. Not sure It does fit the EU regulations. The bank evaluates EU citizens as a high risk to give a house loan. it is one of the most sad discrimination way I have ever heard in Denmark. #jyskebank @jyskebank

I contacted Jyske bank for information regarding bank loan for buying a house, but after two calls they informed me that because we are from outside and leaving In Denmark for only 3 years, to accept us as clients with a loan, they would ask for the 60% or the house price! 60%!! This number would be lowered to 40% if we would have been 5 years in Denmark, which still is ridiculously high taking into account that by law you only have to pay 5%. I have found this a way that this bank keeps foreigners away, just to not say it in another way.. so if you are not danish, better chose another bank.

I'm a foreigner and I think that if this happened to a Danish citizen, they would definitely manage the situation differently. This is the WORST bank where you can go in Denmark. They blocked my card WITHOUT me asking for it and, after 1 week of struggles and numerous phone calls with them, I still haven't solved the problem. And I can't pay any bill or even buy food. Apparently they sent me an email which I can't find and their call center asked me to call several numbers, they passed my call from one person to another and the last person I talked to said she cannot help me and she'll try to find someone to help me. Seriously? What kind of employee is that? Nobody knows how to help me and they don't want to unblock my card either. I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give a 0. Save yourself some troubles and don't go there.
