Stayed at jurys inn newcastle

Stayed at jurys inn newcastle, room old, shower woeful, not able to get a shower on the morning as there was no hot water, even in the sink tap till after 11, i had to leave then & it was just getting tepid. Sink chipped, toilet worked with a lot of pushes on the handle, no it wasn,t immediately after someone else had used it either, then it would have been impossible to flush for about 10mins. Not a nice experience & certainly will be avoiding the jurys inn, newcastle, from now on!

Non repayment of money

Booked Jurys inn in June 2022 via Booking.com, payment taken 6th June. Stay was 3 days from 23rd September. Cancelled booking 16th September and Booking.com confirmed booking cancelled with no charge. Still awaiting repayment middle of October. Tried contacting numerous times via email, text and phone without them replying once. Eventually had to put this repayment through my Credit Card bank as a dispute of Non Payment. Jurys Inn do not care about you, all they care about is taking your money and not returning it. Buyer Beware

Beware when parking off at…BEWARE DROP OFF ZONE

Beware when parking and dropping off at Southampton Jury’s inn Hotel. As a cab driver been dropping customers off at this hotel ever since it was opened. Recently they must have started using one of these parasitic parking companies to patrol their ridiculous drop off area. As I had no intention of parking there I took no notice of any parking signs that may or may not be there. I had dropped off a young seaman who was meant to be staying at the hotel. He spoke very little English but as I was driving away, he came back out and told me they didn’t have his reservation. I went in, waited in line and helped him sort it out. All this took me 17 minutes apparently. Well, lesson learned, no more dropping or picking up from here, no more recommendations if any one asks where are any good hotels. I hope jury’s inn think that taking on these parasites is worth it.

Sadly when I arrived at the jurys Inn…

Sadly when I arrived at the jurys Inn Sheffield walked into my room which was on the first floor and asked for a room on a high floor in a quiet area as I was working late and the room was right next door to three lifts on top of that I asked for a room with a bath and a shower and had a room with a shower they changed the room and give me a disabled room on the second floor we sadly only had two small double beds and the handle on the bathroom fell off when I opened it it not quite luxury that you would expect from juries more Travelodge experience

dishonest and unserious

I made my reservation last September at Jurys Inn Sheffield at the agreed rate of £85.00 per night for 5 nights. However, upon arrival the hotel charged me £95.00 per night; I realized that only after they provided me with the invoice after check-out. I called the hotel, they admitted the mistake and told me to write to the hotel manager to arrange for a refund. I write her twice but got no reply whatsoever, except for an automated one. I have copies of both the reservation and the invoice to support my claims. I find this a very dishonest and unserious behaviour to their customers.

Jurys Inn: East Midlands Airport

Booked a one-night stay via Booking.com.for early flight next morning. Hotel is a 5 min walk to East Midlands Airport departues - it's main selling point.

Issues : Room 34 - Room smelt musty when I arrived. Shower curtain not attached properly. Grouting around bath and toilet filthy. On further inspection underside of toilet was leaking and filthy. Glass next to basin had mark in it. Paintwork damaged. Stain on carpet next to bin. Bathroom door showed signs of wear and tear. Old-style lock on door.

Good points: Aircon very good and quiet. Bed comfy. Hairdryer, safe, ironing board in room. Room service availablle. Phone in room. Tea, coffe & kettle in room. Health Centre attached.

Reception friendly and helpful. Communal areas nice. Bar area comfy with telly tuned to Sky News, sound on low but could be heard.

I contacted reception to complain about the state of the room. (I took photos). The Duty Manager was excellent. She moved me to an upgraded room which was more inkeeping with a 4* hotel.

Would I stay again? Probably not. I would say the 3* Premier Inn is much better, including the beds. Needs a good re-vamp.

Exceptionally bad

Every year we come to jurys inn Brighton waterfront.
This year pre Bank holiday noticed the service levels lacking. Not good leadership. Give you examples:
1. Sat at the bar in the evening no one will serve u. To recieve a service at the bar counter- takes a long time and can see the few staff stressed - poor eye contact.
2. Breakfast- staff greet you but then it's a challenge to find a table for 4 with a disabled wheelchair family member. No one sits you down and so you see occupied large tables with one guest on it! How absurd? So we sat at the only available small table for 3 guests- there is four of us and a wheelchair. Looked like a right circus show. Still, no staff came to our assistance- they thought this is all fair and the new normal? You would think that they would reserve one wheelchair accessible table for 4 incase? They have to learn a lot from the other hotel chains.
3. Standard Rooms were comfortable, quiet during the storm, manager managed to put a fridge in one of the two rooms so we could refrigerate our medicines in one room. Inagibe, 4 star hotel - no fridge! Third world? Temperature of water first day was lukewarm both showers. No walk in shower so no shower for the disabled person! despite pre booking application. Felt like a holiday in a 2 star facility of India.
4. Check out after the breakfast saga was 11am which complicates packing abd vacating on time for a disabled. So found ourselves with our luggage at 11am in reception with all his nebuliser given in the hotel reception plus all his medications. The hotel refused to give us an hours extension of even one room if the two!
All in all a pretty ghastly affair this time and double the price than last year. I gave it 2 stars cos the manager we knew and room was comfortable. They desperately need to train staff and improve the customer experience, especially for the handicapped.

Rusty bath, pubes and dirty towels!

On our arrival our first room had a rust hole 1.5 inches in diameter in the bath. A used nappy in the bathroom bin and hairs from previous customers around the toilet and across the bathroom floor. We were quickly given a second room....hand towels had marks on them, both mirrors still had toothpaste spray on them and the shelf in the bathroom was covered in toothpaste. Not what you expect for the price! I was refunded instantly and a taxi called to transfer us to another hotel.....45 mins later I'm still in the lobby writing this review! I must say though the receptionist was very apologetic and helpful......but we won't be back!

Stayed in the Belfast branch of Jurys…

Stayed in the Belfast branch of Jurys Inn. The check in was very late into the evening and we were told to come back at the correct time (which we understood), on return there were multiple other people who were trying to check in and managed to get their room key, we where told to continue to wait for another hour while multiple other guests were allowed to check in.

I have stayed in Jurrys in Brighton…

I have stayed in Jurrys in Brighton waterfront, I find the staff very helpful, in a respectful manner, I also loved the food they served in Resturant and breakfast, the ingredients were used fresh. Very tasteful I would recommend anyone to go to Brighton waterfront, only downside was some of the rooms needed repairs and updates on certain areas.

Also would like to add the art facts that Jurrys used in the hotel was brilliant it has add a touch of inspiration creativity in the hotel. Well done to all.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! If you are BLACK please don't go! First they lied to me about my room upgrade, I paid for superior room but was given a standard room and was able to prove this by comparing my room to another superior room - when they realize they been caught out they refund the extra for the superior room. Now to most in your face racism they did not even try to hide it! I book swim for three people for 5pm. It happened that we were running late, so I phone to change the time but was told no problem we can come at any time. We got there around 6:05pm changed and start swim, we met other families there (White by the way) which was not an issue because my they were having fun and so are we. At around 6:35 the guy at the reception came in and said we have to leave and I ask why? To which he said others want to swim and we have had 30mins. For a minute I looked around because we were the last family to get there and why are we the BLACK family have to leave. I was beside myself all the others are WHITE but the black ones has to leave. I was furious because my kids realised what is going on and one of the mentioned RACISM! I was so upset, I left the hotel immediately. If you are BLACK please please do not visit this hotel RACISM is at there heart!

JURY'S INN LONDON WATFORD

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. From Jacob on reception right through to housekeeping, every member of staff was helpful, courteous and did a superb job. 5 star rating for cleanliness of the rooms, public areas and crockery and cutlery. One lady member of staff at the bar checked each cup and glass before she gave it to me. Spotless room and bathroom and lovely large and airy beautifully maintained public areas to sit including a terrace. Very good breakfast. Hotel smelt gorgeous and hand sanitisers everywhere. Any small problem was put right immediately. I only had to send one cup back. No bath mat on the first night which was soon put right. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. This hotel should get an award. It made a very emotional family weekend visiting hospital so much easier. Easy access to nearby parking through the hotel at a discounted rate. Cannot recommend highly enough. We were very surprised and delighted. Thank you!

DO NOT STAY!!!

DO NOT STAY!!!! RUDE AND VERY UNHELPFUL! date 30 June/1st July
I normally don't like to be so blunt but the service at the Leeds Jurys Inn. Firstly they put me in a room and someone already fast asleep in the bed! then they advise they don't clean rooms due to government legislation!!?? The to add insult to injury then refuse a room to a colleague even though she had an email confirmation!! please read and pass on. Would love a response from Jurys Inn manager him/herself.

Jurys Inn Brighton

Jurys Inn Brighton is awful. We are 3 people here for 1 night. We visited the bar before going out but they had no low/no alcohol drinks at all so we went elsewhere. On returning at 10.55 we were told the bar had closed. We were told we could get a drink from the machine opposite reception - very restricted choice, no white wine at all and nobody prepared to get some for us. Only 1 tariff for breakfast, £14 even if you only want yogurt and coffee!! Shan't be coming back here again. Made to feel very unwelcome.

Customer service? Go somewhere else....

Booked a room in the Jury Inn, Derby on 16 june 2022 (today). Arrived to find the room was boiling. Air-conditioning was broken (nearly 30 degrees C in the room). Reported it to reception who said they knew it was broken and there was a fan in the cupboard which I could switch on. Really? When pressed, the receptionist said the air conditioning had been broken for weeks. No other suitable rooms available. Unlike Hotels that are customer focused, they don't advise the customer in advance to give them the choice, they just let the customer come to the hotel and hope they don't mind. I minded. Got a refund and drove the 6 hours home. My advice.... give this hotel chain a miss. They have no interest in the customer....

Jury’s Inn Nottingham

Large city centre hotel. No on site parking (which is clear from the hotel website, but not clear on Booking.com). Website advertises a restaurant but in fact there are no meals other than breakfast. Bar food the only option. Room clean. Staff friendly but too few for the volume of customers. Expensive for what you get.
