Terrible Experience – Stay Away!

I had a frustrating experience with this platform. After traveling to my home country from Europe, where the platform operates, my account was initially blocked. I promptly provided all the requested documentation, including copies of my entry and exit stamps, to prove my case. My account was briefly reinstated, only for them to permanently block it again a few days later—without any clear justification.

While I’ve moved on since the platform is not worth the hassle, they have been holding a balance of €75 in my account since 21/09/2021. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. I strongly advise others to stay away from this platform.

Stupid, waste, scam. AVOID THESE THIEVES

Firstly, if there was means to give this crap, sh#t scam of a company a -5 rating, I wont hesitate. Just to let everyone know that I am about suing this big piece of sh#t company and i will be grateful if people who were scamed aswell could join me, so we hit them from every angle possible. Every penny they have ever stolen will not go unpunished.

9 months smooth sailing !

Using Joompay since February 2023 - so far, so good ! Card looks awesome, everything works, support reachable via live chat in app. Nothing bad to say. Only sad thing that they taking down card payments starting from 20 December 2023. I believe VISA kicked them out for some reason. Without card(s) and only with sepa account, not sure if Joompay account will be much use. Hopefully they will resume card services asap - as I understand same thing with stopping cards happened in past also (when I was not client yet).

It’s has been over a week now since…

It’s has been over a week now since they suspended my account with over a thousand euros in it for no apparent reason and they have refused to tell me why. I am not even sure if I will be getting this money back because the live chat support has been no help whatsoever. If i were you I will stay far away from this company as possible.

Not scam

I've been using Joompay for more than one year. It's not scam. A lot of people might be disappointed because it wants you to be verificated (you're supposed to send a photo of your ID) before you can use your money. I admit that the app shouldn't allow you to upload money to your account before it freezes your account due to the fact that you haven't verified yet.
I was also suspicious at first. I risked it. It worked. Uploading money and paying online and with the card is easy.

Misleading

Joom is not a financial institution!!
Although that they saying that but it’s misleading!

You can use joom only for transfer under the 50€.

Pay attention everything above that sum ,automatically blocked with NO refunds what so ever.
And account deactivated

You gonna get they copy paste crap - that we regulated institution bla bla bla

In fact that’s the company policy. ( not exactly company)

No doubt that joom is a scam !

Hope they be punished by the law

Red alart !!! Do not use this app u will lose all your money !
This is not ar real bank all your funds will be stolen and eventually deactivated your account!!
Be aware and spread the word

No exception!!!

Full scam company

Dont used this.. Support 1/10 give answer 1 time for full day. Joompay its full scaming company, its not bank..

I got a transfer (instant payment). Even on a day off, the sender's bank writes that the money is already in the account. Joompay says there is no money. Then on Monday night they seemed to come, but not to me, but to them. They just don't credit me. They demanded to confirm immediately, I did it.

After that, they are silent and there is no information at all. I even said, well, send it back or deposit to me, they are also silent.

If this company give back money me or sender, i change my review.

JoomPay is a lazy service with non existant customer service

They lure you in with a smooth verification process, and set you up with an instant Visa (virtual).

But as soon as I topped it up and was going to test the transferring/card functionality they just blocked my money and didn't even bother to answer neither in they so called "24/7" live support or mail.

It took 4 hours before someone finally replied.

I can NOT recommend JoomPay to anyone.

*Update*

I finally got my funds released, and I will give JoomPay a second try and re-evaluate my opinion if it turns out better than the first experience.

Raising to three stars for now

Absolutely horrific company

Absolutely horrific company, I actually can not sign in to my account as the selfie will not accept after many many tries, iv contacted them and the reply is all the same, stay away this is not how banking should be done

The Joompay lied

The Joompay said they would refund me but almost 15 days after no money was refunded. It seems just like a scam from JOOM Group.
Better not to use JOOM or Joompay.

Trustworthy

First, im not from Joompay team.
Second - Joompay trustworthy APP and ebank API with vIBAN.
one downfall im not sure its real Insta SEPA, be cause money did not arrives right away... maybe they double check, but anyway - great APP, nice minimalistic design.

Joompay is a scam

Joompay is a big scam. Recently I transferred over 1000 euros from my account into my joompay account. Then when I wanted to transfer money to someone else, they block my account. My account was blocked with more than 1200 euros and they refused to refund the money back to the sending account. Terrible service and a bad bank service. Nobody should use joompay because they are fraud. Give everyone's money back. Don't keep it because it is not yours.

Joompay doesn't seem to be authorized

Joompay doesn't seem to be authorized, because they are not afraid even by La Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. I wrote to this commission and warned Joompay of this but they don't care. Then look what they did, something that no company does: they don't close the account even if somebody sais he/she doesn't accept Joompay Terms and Conditions. At this any company on earth closes the account. The T&C is valid until terminated and not accepting them is termination.
They should be stopped to operate in these conditions to see that for 60 EUR that they blocked for their pockets they will loose more.

Answer to answer: Like it happened to me it doesn'happen but to bad companies; I have experience with other similar apps.
You say you respect T&C. But you don't explain all your terms there. They appear suddenly from nowhere.
Like in my case: You didn't say in terms 'You can add for topping up only ... number of cards'. People nowadays have a lot of cards. Look at Curve card: people can associate to it tens of cards. Why? Because they have.

This bank blocked my account since…

This bank blocked my account since January 2022 with my 1000 euro, for reason my cousin transferred me money twice in 1 weeks, I have emailed them severally but they keep telling me the complaints department are handling my case. I even forwarded my other account to them to transfer my money back base on instructions from the complaint department, which has not been done and it’s pass 3 months.
