Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system
Joomla, among free CMS, offers the best compromise between user-friendliness and robustness, flexibility, scalability, and speed.

A dogs dinner of a framework. DO NOT USE. Masses of unsupported plugins, extensions and templates. Upgrading is a nightmare, unnecessary breaking API changes, poor support.
Joomla as a product is awesome. I have been using it decades for mostly 90% of my projects. I've always achieved most of everything in terms of functionality with this CMS. I've seen the cms grow since the mambo days and amazing what it is now. The developers (at least the few I have worked with their products) are very friendly and open. The extension directory is not that bad but can be improved as a few plugin, modules and components are out of date.
However, same cannot be said for the forum. Some forum users are disrespectful and sarcastic. I can fully understand now why a lot of people do not post their issues. There are very few professional developers and users that's passionate to help but quite a large part of this community is negative. However, generally, that does not stop me from using the product which I believe is very robust!!
Joomla is one of the most powerful systems that you can work with and can be used to power everything from simple websites to complex business as well as cloud applications. I love Joomla! I've been using it for years, and there's plenty of great stuff in there. Can't complain at all. Really love the access levels, the extensibility and how easy it is for me to develop my own solutions.
