Mortgage broker couldn't "be arsed"

Mortgage broker couldn't "be arsed". It's as simple as that....

In a good job, good salary, credit rating on the up. On time payments for everything all year. Loads of other great things credit wise.

After having to try to build it back up from around five years ago. End of relationship ruined it due to having to then pay 100% of everything. Been offered help to buy a house, decided now would be the time.

Apart from transitions between job this year where I've needed extra cash (final work place deducted £1000 out of my final salary) and used a couple of pay day loans paid off on time in full. No other issues.
Job now means more than affordable to get a mortgage.
Dealt with Nicky.
Nicky clearly didn't want to push this for me. I suspect because it's easier to focus on the mortgages for people who are more straightforward, guaranteed commission quicker.
I got refused on the basis I had a pay day loans. It was four hundred pounds. All of the above, all payments on time etc, ignored.
Circumstances for the loan (£1000 deduction out my final salary and delayed start date of new job) ignored and not put forward. Basically she did naff all to really get me this mortgage and I'm angry I wasted my time.
She had said she had seen far worse credit ratings etc etc get mortgages but yeah clearly didn't want to be arsed to fight for me to get one with that one issue but not really anything else.
Did she even explain the circumstances of that loan to the lender? No because that would require actual effort wouldn't it?
Will not be using again and looking for a broker than will actually put the work in and fight to get me one because my opinion is, this really shouldn't have happened. I have got a reasonable chance I would say so a bit more work next time. Not interested in lazy brokers who feel I'm too much work!

An odd company ran from an industrial…

An odd company ran from an industrial estate off the m74, hardly prime city centre offices which is reflected in their work. Dreary to talk to mark and co unfortunately; they could do with hiring outside the box and moving offices.
