I was looking for some accommodation from July, and I found a perfect property through this real estate agency, so I signed the contract with them and paid the holding deposit. However, the landlord suddenly changed their mind and wanted someone to move in by the end of May, even though I had made it clear I couldn't. I told them before the viewing, it was mentioned several times in emails, and it was even stated in the Tenancy Agreement. Although the agency returned my deposit promptly, it was a frustrating experience and very unproductive two weeks which only delayed my house hunting.
