Fraudulent business

I unfortunately have been uploading to Jamendo for years, and have always had a lot of problems getting my royalties paid to me. I’m now once again in the same position and I strongly caution any artist against working with them. You won’t get your money. This is a fraudulent business.

Unresolved Royalty Payments

I have been an active artist on Jamendo for years with millions of listens across my catalog. Since June 18, 2025 over nine months ago I have received zero payment updates, zero royalty statements, and zero meaningful communication about money owed to me.
This is not a technical glitch. This is a pattern. Hundreds of artists are reporting the same thing. Royalties sitting in pending indefinitely, vague responses, excuses about system migrations, and silence. Jamendo is collecting licensing revenue off our music while we wait with nothing.
I have now sent a formal breach of contract notice demanding a full royalty statement, an explanation, and immediate payment within 14 days. If that is not met, I will be pursuing legal options and filing complaints with the relevant consumer and creative rights authorities.
To any artist considering Jamendo do your research before uploading. To Jamendo I expect a response.

Great platform, terrible payment system

I've been working with Jamendo for several years and I have to say — their support team is actually quite responsive. The problem is that responsiveness means nothing when every single reply is a copy-paste template.
The real issue is payments. Jamendo has their own withdrawal rules stating that payouts will be processed within 10 days of the following month after you click withdraw. In all the years I've worked with them, they have never once paid on time. Not a single time.
Money can sit in your account marked as "Available" for months, sometimes years. You hit withdraw, nothing happens. You contact support, they respond quickly — I'll give them that — but the response is always some variation of "we're aware, we're working on it, thank you for your patience." Every time. Without exception.
At one point they even told me I hadn't clicked the withdrawal button at the right time — which wasn't true. And even after that "explanation," the money still didn't arrive the next month. Or the month after. Or the month after that.
Right now I have $2,657 marked as Available since February 20th. This includes YouTube Monetization earnings for Q4 2024 — meaning YouTube has already paid Jamendo. The money is literally in their account. I sent a formal payment demand, got a response within hours. Friendly, apologetic, completely vague. No date, no explanation, nothing actionable.
To their credit — they do eventually pay. The money does arrive. But "eventually" can mean anywhere from 3 months to over a year, which creates a serious cash flow problem for independent artists.
The frustrating part is that Jamendo's YouTube Content ID system actually works really well — better than most alternatives out there. There's genuinely nothing comparable in terms of how effectively they monetize your music on YouTube. So you're stuck. You need the platform, but getting your money out of it feels like a part-time job.
If you're an artist considering Jamendo — go for it, the music side is solid. Just don't count on seeing your money anywhere near when they say you will.

What Happened since mid-2025 with Jamendo Payments n' Royalties?

There has been such a decrease in royalties and payments quality. For example: as a netlabel, one of our artists is waiting since May 2025 for a payment, which stays forever in pending state.

What's been happening to Jamendo? We used to recommend it to lots of friends and other labels, but now looks like something is legally stuck forever.

Never had such an issue before.

UPD (10.02.26)
A month later, the situation was resolved successfully, and the royalties were paid, but this only happened after an official notification was sent to Jamendo's partners, so it's difficult to pinpoint the exact issue. I'm just glad that one headache has been resolved.

Original review:

I am writing this review to warn all fellow artists and partners. Jamendo (Llama Group) has failed to pay out artist royalties for over 3 months now. My brother (also an artist on this platform) has not been able to receive them for more than 8 months. The support team cites vague "accounting issues," but holding funds generated from our sales on partner platforms like Adobe Stock is not a technical glitch—it is a breach of contract and a sign of insolvency.
My content is generating revenue on Adobe Stock via Jamendo, yet Jamendo is withholding these funds. This is unacceptable.

To Jamendo Management:
I am done waiting. If my outstanding balance is not cleared immediately, my next step is to contact the Adobe Stock Legal & Copyright Department directly. I will formally inform them that Jamendo is in breach of contract and no longer has the valid rights to license my catalog. I will demand the removal of my content from Adobe Stock to stop this unauthorized monetization.

Peace.

Jamendo are fraudsters. Your end is near.

I'm adding to my previous message:

As it turns out, the fraudulent scheme is still alive. They have taken possession of musicians' tracks, placed them in the Content ID system, and are illegally collecting royalties, even though the contract and its term expired long ago.

They lull you into a false sense of security by saying that all tracks have been removed, while in reality they continue to collect royalties from all sources. They fabricated a story about a manual platform transition to cover up all traces of the transactions. Nothing has changed.

These fraudsters belong in prison, along with everyone involved (accomplices). But this will end soon!!!

The changes are not for the better

Hello everyone!
I don't want to bring this up, but unfortunately, Jamendo's recent actions force me to do so.
Like many authors, I haven't received payments for over six months and have also received the same responses from their team.
Last month, I was informed that my previously requested payment had been queued, but after January 10th, the money still hasn't arrived.
It's a shame this situation has arisen because up until now, there have been virtually no delays, and Jamendo has allowed me to freely distribute my music.
But, as always, all good things must come to an end. Perhaps Jamendo faces tough times ahead.

UPD:
It's worth noting that the money was finally paid, albeit with a delay of 8-9 months.
It's not very pleasant to wait and beg for your own hard-earned money, but at the same time, the full amount was paid, and that's encouraging.

After 12 years of good cooperation with Jamendo.com, I regret to report that since May 2025—six months ago—the platform has failed to pay royalties owed to me, despite all payment conditions being met (the amount exceeds the required minimum of 100 units).

Furthermore, there has been no communication from their side. I have sent approximately ten messages through various channels and have received no response. This raises a serious question: what is happening with our earnings?

I sincerely hope this is only a temporary issue and that the company will resolve the situation promptly. However, the continued lack of payment and communication is deeply concerning. Additionally, the unpaid funds are steadily losing value due to inflation.

If the situation is resolved and communication improves, I would be willing to revise my rating to a higher one.

I really wish it hadn’t come to this

I really wish it hadn’t come to this, but after waiting 7 months for payment, I feel I have no other way to make my voice heard.

I’ve been working with Jamendo for nearly 10 years, and this is the first time I’ve felt completely left without answers. Delays can happen I understand that but the lack of clear communication and being left in silence has been genuinely disappointing and upsetting.

This review is not written out of anger, but out of frustration and sadness. I truly hope Jamendo chooses to be more transparent and respectful toward the artists who have supported the platform for so many years.

Awful company that don't pay artists

Absolute shambles of a company. I’m one of their very early artists, and while payments were roughly on time for the first year or so, they are now severely behind. I generated significant revenue for them for well over a decade, yet payments were consistently delayed, with the blame always shifted to the accounting department or other excuses.
I have completely lost trust in them. I would remove my entire catalogue from their platform, but I don’t trust that they would not continue licensing my work behind the scenes. They are quick to ask artists to remove YouTube music claims from their so-called “licensed” videos, yet they never bother ensuring the artist actually receives their share of that licence payment. They owe many artists substantial sums for licences issued years ago.
If you’re an artist considering joining, don’t. Stay well clear. And if you’re a customer licensing music, please be aware that artists often receive no payment at all, or at best a slow drip feed long after the licence is sold. If you have even a little respect for artists’ work, I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Completely unprofessional and unreliable platform.

Completely unprofessional and unreliable platform.
Revenue from the Jamendo Partner program has not been updated for over two months, and my account balance has been frozen with no explanation. I requested a payout in August, but to this day the money has not been transferred to my account.
Customer support is useless — every time I contact them, I receive the same generic, copy-paste response saying the issue will be “resolved soon,” yet nothing actually happens.
Because of this behavior, I will be forced to directly contact their business partners to obtain a clear explanation and receive the payment that is rightfully mine. I will also make an effort to contact the appropriate regulatory authorities who can investigate this type of practice and their treatment of creators.
I do not recommend Jamendo to any creator who expects transparency, reliable communication, and timely payments!

Jamendo is Dead

As others have already stated, the once-great Jamendo has sunk to the level of dishonesty and greed, and are no longer living up to their original standards of operation. No one is getting paid and they aren't responding to reasonable questions. Stay clear of this scam.

Edit on February 16, 2026
Jamendo responded on December 17, 2025 (seen below) asking for further information. I responded immediately, and as of now, two months later, I have yet to hear any further response. I have deleted all of my music from the platform.

Steer SO, SO clear of this site if you're an artist.

For context, I've been using Jamendo for years. 2025 has been completely unacceptable.

It's been several months since requesting my royalties. I'm joining the, presumably, hundreds of other artists under the same cycle of short emails amounting to "not knowing" when payment will be made.

I even received an email saying it was due to a "system migration"? Even though other artists are being paid after leaving bad reviews? It's an absolute shambles and quite clearly turned into a system of profiting off of the backs of unsuspecting musicians.

I'm now considering legal action and have told the company to deposit my withdrawal, as they had done for years prior, by the end of the window in which they claim they'll pay you within - If not, I'll begin looking for legal routes, because it's beyond a joke not just for me but so many others as well.

Four Months Without a Payment or Clear Update

I’m deeply disappointed with how Jamendo has handled artist payments recently.

My band Metrognomi has been active on Jamendo since 2012, with over 500,000 listens accumulated over the years. We’ve always believed in the platform’s mission of supporting independent and emerging artists — a spirit that originally set Jamendo apart.

Unfortunately, our recent experience has been the exact opposite of that vision.

We requested a royalty payout at the end of July, and after more than four months, the payment is still pending. Despite multiple follow-ups, we’ve only received vague replies stating that “the Finance team is looking into it,” without any concrete timeline or explanation. Even after escalating the issue, nothing has progressed.

For a platform built on the promise of empowering artists, it’s extremely discouraging to face such a lack of transparency and reliability — especially regarding something as fundamental as receiving due royalties.

I truly hope Jamendo addresses these issues and realigns with the values it once stood for. Right now, the experience is far from what an artist-focused platform should provide.

Jamendo stopped paying artists and ignores support requests

I have been releasing my music through Jamendo for several years and used to trust this platform, but based on my recent experience, I can no longer recommend it. For many months I have not received clear, transparent reports for my sales on Jamendo and Adobe Stock, while at the same time clients contact me saying they bought a license and ask me to remove copyright claims from their YouTube videos, yet these sales never appear in my dashboard and I never receive the royalties.

Jamendo promised a new, “transparent” reporting system almost a year ago, but nothing has really changed. Old reporting periods are partially missing, the new reports for 2025 look incomplete compared to 2024, and there is still no way to properly track all sales and payouts. I continue to see activity around my tracks, but I cannot verify where the money goes or how much is actually owed to me.

I have contacted Jamendo support many times, attaching screenshots and explaining the situation in detail, and even wrote directly to individual staff members, but either I get no response at all or I receive vague replies with no real solution or concrete timeline. At this point, it feels like Jamendo is happy to keep licensing my music while leaving authors without information or payment, which is completely unacceptable for a licensing platform.

What makes this worse is that I know I am not the only artist in this situation — several of my colleagues report the same issues with missing reports, delayed or absent payments, and ignored tickets. In my opinion, this no longer looks like an isolated technical problem, but like a systematic way of treating contributors. Because of this, I strongly advise other independent artists and businesses to think twice before relying on Jamendo for licensing or royalty management.

Delayed paying of royalties to artists

EDIT: I just received my payment and got some insight in why this could happen. This is why I adjusted my review. I'm still a bit disappointed that it took so long, but I'm still happy, that I got it now.

____
Original review:

I'm somewhat torn here. I've always happily used Jamendo as an artist before and they were mostly paying royalties on time. There was the occasional delay of payment but it had never been more than a month too late.

Now however I'm still waiting for my payment which I requested nearly 5 months ago. If you contact customer support you always get the same answer of the issue being escalated, but nothing happens. It's a shame, as I really enjoyed using the platform in the past. My profile "Square a Saw" has over 16 million plays there, and I'm actually thinking of removing my whole song catalogue from the platform if this issue persists.

At the current moment I can't recommend uploading your music to Jamendo, as this issue seems to persist and it is not guaranteed that you will get your money.

Jamendo are stonewalling me - AVOID if you are an artist - They don't pay your royalties!!!

Update....

Five months later and I have finally been paid!! Wasted a lot of time and energy chasing for payment.

Royalties they have collected in the revenue/earnings received - for me the latest showing was Dec 23. So they are two years behind on royalties the have collected before applying them to my account. So two years worth of royalties in their pocket and not mine.

///////////////////////////

After requesting my artist royalties over 4 months ago I have still received no payment - searching around this appears to be affecting other artists also.

The customer service are polite , but just string you along will different cut and paste excuses 'it's in the pipeline' etc. They are now Stonewalling me and will not reply to any my messages requesting payment on my open ticket with them.

I'll give it another month and if I get no further might try contacting the the CEO and CFO directly on LinkedIn, although I don't think they will reply.

My advice to artists thinking of joining - BEWARE!!! be VERY careful - look at reviews like this one (there's more than one) before deciding!

I'm writing this review in the vain hope Jamedo customer services will see it and pay me and other artist the earned royalties - fingers crossed!
