Epic customer service failure

I bought a lifetime license when this company first opened. And now that I'm having issues after my computer crashed and I no longer have access to the email that I used to purchase this software I can't get anybody to answer the phone or return phone messages I talked to Stephen S. 1 time, and I have sent him multiple emails since. It's been almost 3 months since I sent support 2 emails and Nothing but crickets.
I am thinking they might want me to buy an upgrade. I guess I have no choice. One thing's for sure, it won't be a i Skysoft product.
When I recommended their products to a friend he called me back after he did a background check on them and I defended them when he started telling me about all of the things he found.
This company has been using the " we are a small company" excuse for about 10 years.

Bad company!


The program is more or less okayish, BUT If you’re ending your subscription they just start a payment after a couple of months (6 months) again without authorisation!!!
Don’t think they will answer your email because they won’t!
It’s awful and a shame!
I have read another review here almost similar so it looks to me the company knows what they are doing with the credit card information.
I will make work of this cause it seems like theft to me. So don’t buy your stuff here.

CHEATS AND SCAMS

I never ordered this product and don’t even know what it is. Attempted to charge my card so many times that I had to get a new one and they tried charging me again! At this point I will have to probably close my bank account. Only help was an automatic email trying to sympathize and asked me to provide my name, credit card number, and transaction days so they could “investigate” my claim. What a scam!?!?! STOP TRYING TO CHARGE MY CARD!

Misleading "free version"

I downloaded the "free version" to try it once only to discover (after investing 20 minutes) that the free version gives you 30% of the file. Completely useless. Why isn't this clear up front? I wouldn't trust this company after this type of practice.

Terrible company to deal with...stay…

Terrible company to deal with...stay well away 3 years there still taking money out of my account..nicked them in my bank but they still managed to take money today 47e absolutely disgraceful we never even used the product...stay away...

Per your description, it seems you subscribed to a yearly plan with our software. Normally, the auto-renew will go on if you have not canceled it manually, and this is the reason you were charged again. Meanwhile, we'll send a reminder email to the customer before he/she is auto-renewed. Seek your kindly understanding.

We recommend you follow the instructions below to cancel the auto-renewal subscription manually. After that, you'll not be auto-deducted in the next billing period.

Step1: Sign in to https://accounts.wondershare.com/web/subscription.
Step2: Select My Subscription, under the plan you'd like to cancel, click Manage plan.
Step3: Select Cancel Subscription.
Step4: Choose the reason for cancellation, and then select Continue.
Step5: Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your cancellation.

I have filled out the inquiry to…

I have filled out the inquiry to purchase the license for more than 23 users almost a week ago, and nobody has called me and all the lines are all day saying “no agent is available to take yourcall.”

I wonder if at the sales stage it is like this, how the company is treating the customers when the money is paid?

Was charged multiple times month later

Was charged again for software that I purchased two months later.

I’m sure the explanation will be that I chose autobill, which is rubbish. This company isn’t satisfied with just making a mediocre product. They have to engage in unethical billing practices as well. As far as I’m concerned this is a scam. Buy wondershare instead!!

Although it works sort of, it stuffs up iphones

I purchased this software last year to transfer contacts and messages from my samsung to new iphone. Although they came across I could not send messages to any one of my contacts, nor could I ring them. In the end I went to the Apple store to see if they could sort this out. They advised that this software is renowned for stuffing up iphones. I had to reset to factory settings and manually enter in contacts but was not able to do anything about my messages. After reading other reviews after the fact (my fault for not checking first) I didn't even bother trying to get my $A50 back.

warning!!!

I bought software from iskysoft in 2012 and 2018 but they've added some new policies that make me regret my purchase in 2020.

First, it's very very difficult to get a return. They have an entire huge list of reasons why you can't return their products even 30 minutes after your purchase and that's extremely unreasonable.

Second, Their customer support website uses unsecure coding, using http instead of https. This is a software website and that type of unsecure connection is extremely worrying. You pretty much have to use the customer support to get set up as well.

Third, it can take up to 24 hours to get your product. It's a digital download. A product bought and used digitally should be usable immediately. There's no reason for this.

Other than that, the aesthetic of their software has changed a lot. It's a lot more ugly and the free trial was unusable. The video recording element of uniconverter captured a different section of my screen than where I clipped. But I've used this software before when it was just run by iskysoft and not wondershare and it was/still is the most useful video software i've had. I wanted to add it to my new pc too, but this new version is just awful.

They don't honour their upgrade offers

This product is still been sold on their website. however if you put a DVD in you computer an offer for an upgrade to ultimate for $15 is shown, but when you click on it you have to pay full price.

I contacted their support. Samantha said "Sorry to say iSkysoft Video Converter is not maintained anymore. So this ad on the product is not true. Please be subject to the website information and price."

Iskysoft - Video Converter Ultimate for Mac

I've been using Iskysoft Video Converter Ultimate for Mac for over 9 years. Support for the product is still ongoing ( I've just recently reached out for help and it was quickly & freely given). I've always been helped out via their ticketing system online without any fuss. In all that time they have supported and updated the product for me without any additional cost. I'm very pleased to have purchased and very happy with the ongoing service & support. Keep up the great work!
