A Tradition of Customer Support Excellence

I have been with InMotion Hosting for over 15 years, and the outstanding customer support keeps me there. I opened an account at a competing company once, but when I experienced that almost total lack of support, I quickly closed the account. Working with the InMotion Hosting support team is like having a friend who knows everything about computers and hosting come to your house to help you out of a jam. In my most recent experience, I was having a distressing performance issue that made my website inaccessible. I couldn't seem to pinpoint the problem. When I got InMotion on the line, I could pretty much say, "Here! What's wrong?" Within a half hour, the problem had been identified and corrected, and my website was up and running beautifully again. It was such a relief! The support staff is polite and seems genuinely happy to help. I have so many instances of being helped. Thank you, InMotion!

Repeated Ticket Closures, No Escalation, and Zero Understanding

I’ve now had four tickets with InMotion Hosting for the exact same issue: outbound email being blocked by MailChannels with the error 550 5.7.1 [CS] Message blocked. This is a standard outbound reputation block that requires the hosting provider to submit TXIDs through the MailChannels outbound partner console.

Despite providing the TXIDs multiple times, InMotion never once performed the required action. Instead, support repeatedly did the wrong thing—submitting “Not Spam” on the inbound side, which has absolutely no effect on outbound reputation. They then closed my tickets as “Solved,” even though nothing was solved.

Across four tickets, the pattern was identical:

No outbound TXID submission

No escalation to Systems Administration

Vague, copy‑and‑paste replies

Incorrect inbound-only actions

Tickets closed prematurely, making them read‑only

Forced to start over each time with a new ticket

This has cost me days of downtime, lost business, and endless back‑and‑forth explaining the same issue to new agents who clearly aren’t trained on MailChannels or outbound filtering at all.

Support is friendly, but friendliness doesn’t fix broken systems. InMotion’s support workflow is fundamentally flawed: Tier 1 agents don’t understand the problem, Team Leads avoid escalation, and the people who can fix it are never involved.

If your business depends on reliable outbound email or competent technical escalation, look elsewhere. InMotion Hosting has demonstrated—repeatedly—that they cannot handle even basic MailChannels outbound issues, and they will close your tickets without resolving them.

fast resolving of a problem, but problem with login

Resolving of a problem was really fast and thank you for that, but i had problem with login, it took me about 1 hour to log in, on log in it was telling me that i'm using wrong name or password and i was not, and after "100" times of trying it again and again i entered

I contacted InMotion Technical Support to request help with my web site that was not loading. Jesse found several issues related to plugin updates and was successful in resolving them. Great help from Stephan at Inmotion in recovering my site

I had let my site subscription lapse, and so the site had to be manually rebuilt from a tar.gz backup after I purchased a new VPN subscription. It is a very big, complicated website.

Stephan in support did a great job putting things back together. I will always appreciate what he did for me.

Top notch technical support

I've written another review about one of your top engineers Jamie F, but as a company I think you guys have a great opportunity. I've been with Go Daddy over 25 years and in process of moving all my servers to InMotion mostly for one thing is for the human interface and the great engineers you talk to in person I think you guys have a huge advantage of this industry and many of my other friends in the software development business that work with Go Daddy or host singer or blue host that are very frustrated with support bots or chat with an AI agent where they can pay a few dollars more and go to InMotion and talk to Jamie F for Dakota. It's a huge competitive advantage. I think you guys need to mark that part a lot better because a lot of people really want it so again I give you guys five stars for having this they're accessible they're very knowledgeable and me and my friends's business people don't spend a lot of our time being Lennox admin or anything else we developed software or you make a lot of money doing it and we need a trusted partner. That knows what they're doing so we don't have to learn this and you guys have been great since I've started moving from Go Daddy anyway that's my two cents thanks for everything
