Looking at the score of ING...

Looking at the score of ING, I understand that I am not alone.
After 10 years of having account ( and products) in another bank I switched to ING. What a mistake. Now counting days to close it. Never again.
Reasons: huge costs of products, limited knowledge ( you have 3 questions and you need to be connected with 3 different departments). You starts a chat ( first with a bot), explain situation and you need to call again and go through this process again.
If you have a complaint, it takes time to write it, send by post and the bank gived itself 6!!! Weeks ( not days, but weeks) for an answer.

Creditcard is not insured for scam

I was more than 35 years customer of the Ing bank. I never gave them any problems or didn’t pay bills etc. I hardly use my creditcard and an unreliable pharmacy in Hongkong, took 1200€ from my creditcard for a purchase of 120€. It didn’t matter with how much proof I came that they cheated on me, the Ing treated me as the criminal, instead of the real criminals. After all these years as a decent customer I find this more than disappointing. What about the insurance that a creditcard pretend to offer? I go to another bank and close all my accounts including my mortgage. I don’t want to be confronted with this bank ever again in my life.

ING is not allowing transfers to Kraken…

ING is not allowing transfers to Kraken to buy cryptocurrencies. Although I have personally approved the transaction over the phone the answer is still no. ING does not get to decided were I spend my money. Customer service was also rude and questioned me like I was at a police station. Disgusting!!

NO PROTECTION, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE

This bank doesn't protect its clients when there is fraud. I have used my credit card in Mexico and I have been scammed. The sum was 10x more than what I consented to (by entering my pin) and ING says that because I consented, then they are not going to help me get my money back. They do not have any guardrails and protection for its clients in this situation.

Apart from that, I have waited for 6 weeks to get an answer from them, so useless fraud team and now I have objected and I have to wait another 6 weeks. They know only how to answer from 6 to 6 weeks. Not to mention that I have been denied proof on the investigation which is actually my right.

Don't bother with ING, useless bank that doesn't take care of its clients.

The customer service is absolutely…

The customer service is absolutely ridiculous. You are on hold forever and they say have fixed the problem and then when you go to access your account the problem is not fixed. Also do not expect an international benefits. All security codes can only be sent to Australian numbers so if you are overseas you are unable to do online transactions. how on earth have they not made it that you can receive the code through the APP yet.

Useless support

Tried to reach out to the customer service, due to inability to activate app on my new phone.
After I uploaded my proof of identity, the system would claim that it is in approval and not let me through for 2+hrs. Chatting with employees for over an hour did not help at all and all they ended up suggesting me is to call the next day. Utterly useless and a waste of time.

I've been with them my whole life

I've been with them my whole life, even when they were still called the Postbank. Their app works really well, although some 'advertisements' in their app are a bit annoying. Their customer service is also friendly. Never had any real issues with them.

Probably the worst bank in the world

Opened a checking account with ING. After few months my debit card stopped working, was being rejected. I contacted their support and they told me that I need to order a new card because there is some kind of issue in the system. But, I have to pay for this replacement card. What? There is a problem with their system and I have to pay money to fix their issue? This bank is a joke. Closed this ridiculous bank's account and moved to another bank.

We closed your creditcard without telling you.

Asked their client contact center to change my platinum credit card into a standard credit card. Before even sending me that new standard credit card, they already closed down my existing platinum card without any notification. Hence I left home for an international trip only to find myself abroad at this moment with a useless ING Platinum credit card that cannot be restored and a new standard credit card that is “on its way in the mail somewhere in the coming five days”. Lousy service. Being a 45-year-long client of theirs, one would expect a more respectful treatment. I am totally done with this bank.

The worst bank and services ever

One star is too much for them. 22 years being customer of ING and now I am just done. There is some credit card check limit, where they are checking if I am married and having kids but not considering my husband income. Suddenly my salary is not enough to have small limit on my credit card. Out of the blue they are blocking my card, where I am paying interest if needed and never missed any payment. Called 3 times rude customer service where I heard that for bank only earning money are important and not people. Waiting time more than 20 min, in the middle of conversation someone just disconnected me. I needed to call again and again waiting. I provided all information and then 2 days latter received message, that I have refused to share my info. What a nonsense. The worst service ever, really.

ING is discriminatating their clients

ING is discriminatating their clients based on their country of origin. They focus more on customers nationality than their service to their clients where deducting monthly amount for their useless service. I wonder why discrimination office in Netherlands never take this serious. Very disappointing

Poor servive and long waiting time

Very poor service. From the promised 2/4 waiting days it became to 2 weeks waiting for some decision. Nobody respons on the mails. There is nobody who can help while having a phone call. A consultant was finishing conversation with words: I wish you good luck and try to send another mail. I’m in dramatic life situation but when my case will be finally solved first thing which I will do will be closing my bank account by ING.

ING is my go-to bank!

ING has been my go-to bank as long as I can remember. The UI is extremely simple and clear, they help you with saving money, call-service is always within reach. Online shopping is also really easy I can’t recall any time I had a difficulty making an online purchase.

My deposit just disappeared. The worst bank I’ve ever used. ING is a money-eating bank!

THINK TWICE before you open the account. ING’s app is literally useless. I couldn’t login with my password and identification documents. Contacting customer service didn’t help at all, I still couldn’t access to my own account. Afterwards, this bank just closed my account without notifying me, with my deposit in it! I contacted again to the customer support, asking them transferred my remaining money to my another bank account. The funny thing is, the employee typed my name wrong and the money transfer couldn't go through. The employee asked me to transfer the money back (which my bank said ING only needed to correct the name, and it would be fine) and I was the one who should responsible for all handling fees. The evil thing is after ING got my money and there was no further action from them! NOT AT ALL! My money just disappeared! Even though I contacted them many times, there was no response. ING is a money-eating bank! I've never used such a bad bank. It's a crime!

They seem to not realise there is an internet

One month of waiting I still have no access to my account and am getting emails from ING wondering why I haven't paid them out of an account they refuse to give me access to.

Basically they send three letters, the card, the login to the app and the card pin. As they lost all three of my cards, I ordered another card expecting the other docs to be in the one letter (makes sense right? should be an email anyway)

Either way the service centers are useless as they can't even give you the pin to your card to activate or even your login credentials.

So basically 1/4 things sent to me have arrived and I am waiting on two more. With this success rate I expect to be up and running in another month.

Why not just send an email? Every other bank I have dealt with inside and outside of Europe seems to have figured this out, why not you ING?
