An 'Amazon Renewed' mobile…

An 'Amazon Renewed' mobile will come via suppliers - such as I Need a Mobile.

I bought an iPhone SE (2nd Gen). About three months in, the erratic battery behaviour culminated in going from an indicated 80-odd % to totally dead in the early hours.

It was a non-Apple battery (not a huge issue - as long as you KNOW when it was fitted and how it has been used, because the in-built app cannot report on the health accurately). The app was reporting battery health at 100% but the evidence (on-going behaviour was saying otherwise.

The Amazon Returns Window was long closed. But I gave them a try. They put me onto the supplier (I Need a Mobile).

An explanation of what appeared to have happened. The app had lied to all of us (supplier, Amazon, me), claiming the battery to be 100% good health when it's Real World performance and behaviour very clearly pointed to it being duff. I Need a Mobile offered a replacement immediately when I outlined what was happening (that's 5-stars straightaway - for understanding the issue without argument).

That suited me. They emailed me a link to produce a returns label and off it went. Further communication ensued and it was very good.

They actually went out of their way to pick an Apple battery phone WITH a very good battery life indication being reported - all clearly communicated so i was aware of everything that was happening.

The replacement was with me in quick time and it was superb.

I never like to trouble people if I can avoid it, unless I am messed around. I Need a Mobile never had me budge from 'chilled' because they were helpful, communicative and efficient, from the start.

I'm not going to be buying phones on a regular basis, but if I had a need - I would be heading back to them, 100%!

Were anyone to be looking for a refurbished phone, then I Need a Mobile is a company I recommend, Big Time!

Look, stuff happens. Things break or turn out faulty. It is part of Life. However, it how a company (or person) deals with the issue that makes them stand out. And these guys were fantastic.

I can only give 5-stars. If able to add one, I would (or possibly a couple more)!

Reduced offer significantly but I suspected that may happen as it was better than others

Reduced offer by nearly 50% due to "scratches" on the screen (which were imperceptible to me), but seeing as it was still in line with other offers I accepted. I suspect they may offer inflated rates in order to get the business, then find reasons to reduce. I hadn't been paid several days after accepting the offer, but contacted them via their website and was paid within hours.

Scam artists

Sent an iPhone 7 in perfect working order. No marks and battery working. They offered £27 then low balled me making up that it had screen scratches and needed a battery service when it was fine when I sent it and have pictures and video as proof. Scam artists that I shall not be using again and recommend others don’t waste a few weeks of their time and instead use a reputable company. Never had any trouble with O2 recycle in the past so will use them in future

I had to communicate by email with a reply about 24 hours after being sent , hence not quite as smooth as I would have liked. Money is in my account now, so as I said I’m overall happy.

I felt cheated when I received a lower…

I felt cheated when I received a lower offer after sending off my iPhone SE. They claimed that the screen was scratched but I took multiple photos of the phone before packing it which prove that the screen and casing was perfect. I packed it with thick card covering the screen and in a bubble pack so it wasn't scratched in transit. Also they said the battery was low - I would say normal for an 8 yrs old phone.
I also had to chase up to get the payment.

4.2.25 update:-
The company say that they erroneously clicked on the button to say that the screen was scratched. admitting that it was not.
They say that the battery was low, but as I stated previously, it and the phone are 8 years old and so that was to be expected. They now say this was the only reason they reduced my offer but I would have rather had the lower offer in the first place so that I could have made an informed decision. If the phone is to be passed on to another user it was bound to need a reconditioned or new battery !
They say that their bank had an issue that delayed the payment.
I believe that my review was fair.

Could do better

The received my iPhone and agreed to pay the price they quoted, but haven't. I have emailed 3 times now and been told they will manually put it through the payment system for that day, yet almost a week later i have no iPhone and no payment! Initially they said I entered the payment details incorrectly (which I guess could have happened even though I did it directly from my banking app), but they have had the correct details more than long enough now.
Well, I have now changed this to 3 stars as they finally send the money but it shouldn't take almost 2 weeks, even if it was my error with the account number.

We were very impressed.

We were very impressed both by the speed of the response when we sent our old phones in, and their honesty in contacting us immediately to ask about the additional phone sent by us to them in error. The order was quickly amended to include the phone and we received payment the same day. Great and honest service, happy customers

I sold an Iphone 8 plus and the offer…

I sold an Iphone 8 plus and the offer was £69. On receipt I was offered £60 as this was locked to O2. This I acceptable as it was fair.
I had to email a couple of times for the payment but this was in my account within 48 hours.
I would have left 5 stars but due to not being able to get in touch with them quickly, I have left 4 stars.
Overall, I am pleased with the transaction.

WARNING!!!

WARNING!!!
Do not use this company if you’re wanting to sell your mobile!
I had an iPhone XR 128MB in excellent condition. They offered me £116 but when they received it in the post they reduce the offer to just £65. This, they say, was due to the fact it was not the original screen (even though it’s in immaculate condition) and the battery was not working to it’s full potential. What do they expect!?!? This is clearly just a ploy to reduce the offer.

Naturally, I rejected the offer. They stated they would return my iPhone back to me within three working days. That was two weeks ago and I am still waiting to receive my phone back. Despite emailing them on numerous occasions to chase this up, along with my phone, I have not received any response from them whatsoever.
