I omitted to add that one of the drivers discovered an amount of money in the sideboard being collected. I had forgotten it was there and despite this he passed it to me. His honesty is commendable and he should be advised of my comments.

Gutted they've gone bust!! I needed to match some furniture I've had for a few years, couldn't get their website to load and then found out the bad news. If anyone else in the same boat give h&f in chesterfield a ring, matched it spot on. And cheaper than indigo were

Stay away from purchasing anything from:
Sawn Oak
Natural Wood Furniture
Castle and Gregory
All these companies belong to the Directors fraudsters. Look through their accounts online in companies house, and you can see that their spouses have also been directors, they all transferred their shares back into the business and changed company names. They had it all planned, and they just use the excuse of Covid19.

Indigo seem to have re-opened as the indigo furniture company by fallow and dean in Lancashire looks like the same products and website? Has the liquidator sold the rights to a new company?.?
It looks like I had a lucky escape I…
It looks like I had a lucky escape I ordered a dining table and 6 chairs over Christmas holidays which were thankfully delivered in early feb ... I was about to order a matching leather corner sofa when this happened - does anyone know where these are made ?
Not impressed.
I too, like many on here was absolutely gutted to hear Indigo had gone into receivership. I had bought many beautiful things from this store and was getting ready to purchase the square arm leather corner sofa. Does anyone know who makes this?
Terrible for the staff, dealt with Christine at the Harrogate store, lovely lady. Just really sad this has happened for you all.
I have had dealings with this company…
I have had dealings with this company over many years.
We purchased some furniture from them 6 years ago for our cafe and it was excellent. In fact I have been recommending them to many, many people over the intervening period.
You can imagine how sickened I felt when I learned that the company that I had been recommending had gone bust, leaving their staff without jobs and many of their customers without furniture that they had paid for.
At least one of these people went to this company because of my suggestion so you can imagine how awful I feel that they had paid in full, received none of the furniture and have now lost all of their money. In fact even though a delivery date had been agreed it has now become apparent that none of the order had even been manufactured. Indigo originally cited Covid-19 as the reason for missing the agreed delivery date.
How low is that too use the excuse of thousands of people who have died as the reason for not delivering paid for goods?
Looking at the reviews below I am very concerned that the directors may have started a similar business from the proceeds of their old company so I would urge anyone who is considering purchasing furniture to properly research the company before placing an order and secondly if a deposit is required to pay that deposit by credit card and not by cash or debit card.
We were let down by this company too
We were let down by this company, ordered in late February for our new home and lost our money. We have since found a wonderful company in Nottingham called Eat Sleep Live who specialise in reclaimed wood furniture and also supply beautiful upholstery.
We now have a house full of beautiful furniture that was hand made to order and delivered by there excellent team and fully assembled in our home using the correct PPE. There trustpilot reviews are outstanding too.
Indigo’s supplier
Hall of Nottingham seem to be trying promote there business through Indigo’s trust pilot,Anybody in there right mind will know that that! Indigo’s plank supplier was Gaz and the liquidators are passing his number on to customers who still want INDIGO FURNITURE,not cheaper copies! Gaz’s number is 07496592633
Stay away from everyone else
Really let down and disjointed.
The furniture that i ordered never arrived and never got the deposit back. Really unprofessional not happy at all. But after reading some reviews on trustpilot i head about a furniture store called Hall Pine and Kitchens in Daybrook. I went there and they sorted me out straight away with a good bunch of lads that know what they are talking about. Also incredible quality all made to measure units in the same roughsawn as Indigo with a higher standard of finishing. Overall really pleased with them so i would recommend to anyone.
thanks most helpful
thanks most helpful, however looking also for the square arm chaise sofa?? can anyone help xx

Try The Main Company in Green Hammerton.
I have lost £1400.00 to this company
I have lost £1400.00 to this company. They accepted my order in early March then went in to voluntary liquidation. They have allegedly transferred assets to another company NATURAL WOOD FURNITURE. I would steer clear of these low morale snakes.
Another very disappointed customer
Another very disappointed customer at the mercy of the two sly and low morale directors who ran this company to the ground. For years me and my wife admired the lovely furniture this company made and when we finally could afford some furniture they took our money and literally ran. Unfortunately we paid via debit card which we have now found out to be less secure than by credit card (apparently getting into debt via a credit card is more secure than paying with hard earned cash as you’re more likely to get a refund... current wait is 45 days to see if visa and the bank will refund our money).
We made the purchase 15th March with a promise of delivery on the 30th March. Unbeknown to us Indigo Furniture had renamed to To Natural Wood Furniture and transferred there shares earlier in the year. So if you are like us and ordered in March you in effect bought from a non existent company.
The directors have three separate businesses. They are:
Sawn Oak
Natural Wood Furniture
Castle and Gregory
All limited companies thereby reducing their own personal liability should something similar happen. Looking through their accounts online you can see that their spouses have also been directors, they all transferred their personal shares back into the business (again removing their personal liabilities) and changed company names. Keep your eye on the above companies on Companies House as they will no doubt be a Similar pattern forming with them too. They also appear to have lost £2million in the space of a year... how can you go from a million pound company to owing nearly a million?
Absolutely shocking actions by these disgusting people to their customers and hard working staff. They should really hang their heads in shame. They have shown their ethics and values and I hope the negative reviews, word of mouth and investigations by the liquidators ruins them like they have their hard working staff and their hard working customers.
I’d also like to acknowledge my disappointment at these companies in the reviews promoting their own businesses (with the exception of those that have advised Indigo customers who manufactured their original furniture). You people are making reviews purely to take advantage of a bad situation. You may feel like you are supporting customers by offering them an alternative (and some may think like that) however for a few of us in these comments your approach is unsympathetic, desperate and disrespectful. If I wanted similar furniture I would research you and find you... I would not use you’re reviews to go to your website and make a purchase. You’re vultures praying on a bad situation.
Really let down by indigo
Much the same as other customers i dont live too far away from their shop so went to try and get the furniture but its all locked up and looks like someone has tried to clear the stock out !thanks for kathryn doar review ive re ordered with hall pine in nottingham, their furniture looks virtually identical and yes lot cheaper !
We too got caught out
We too got caught out. We have spent thousands of pounds over the years on furniture with them and have always been recommending to all of our friends. Very disappointed. One of our cupboards on our Gent Wardrobe was faulty and Indigo collected for repair under the 15 year guarantee but has now gone bust without returning the item meaning we have an expensive wardrobe with a hole in it.
Oak furniture
I see from the comments below that the names of some of the individuals/companies manufacturing sofas and plank furniture have been mentioned. Does anyone know who made the oak furniture?
Like so many of the people below we have just bought a new home and were ready to buy some more furniture from indigo.
Do you know christine fletcher?
