A cesspool of a company. Manipulating reviews. They promote bot accounts and remove honest reviews. If you go against their ideology, your review will simply be discarded.

I wonder if anyone even uses their reviews anymore.

I use to be a big fan of IMDB as I saw them as a more useful and trusted source than others like rotten tomatoes. That changed after I tried to leave my first review. I wrote a completely fair review of a film and actually went into a lot of detail when talking about it. I used no profanity either and posted my review. After 2 days my review is still not up and no communication has been received to understand why. IMDB act like they represent the average person but they don't. If you don't say what they want you to say your review will not be posted or that's what it seems like anyway even if you follow the rules. Absolutely pathetic service that act like they are giving the public a voice but are completely lying and just shaping the narrative themselves. I highly recommend anyone reading this review to not make use of IMDB.

No freedom of expression. The simple criticism is censored

Dishonest Company. They were asked to remove a listing with my name due to The Right To Be Forgotten and have not. This violates my privacy. The clerk Henry was terribly misinformed and did not read the title of the movie when he tried to argue with me.

It is not a 30 day free trial. After 10 days they will try your card to take money. If the card does not work at that time. They will cancel your trial immediately. It is a scam. They DO NOT offer 30 days free. It is a scam. They claim they try every card on your account in their terms and conditions. BUT THEY DO NOT. They will give you a date that they will try you card which funnily enough is 30 days later. But they will try your card after 10 days. At that time they will cancel your free 30 day trial.

Why do I get German commercials. I do not even live there and I do not understand the language. I understand the need of commercials. I do not understand commercials which have 0% effect.

IMDBpro charged my account a renewal fee for another year, but my card had changed, so it didn't go through. It reminded me I didn't want to renew, so I cancelled my account before I could do that. They went through my Amazon payment options and charged my husband's account $139 for the renewal. He's not on imdbpro. They never should have done that. It also seems like a violation of privacy to raid my Amazon account for alternative payment options. Super shady work.

IMDB will not allow you to point out a movie is propaganda, which is moronic, considering most people don't want to watch propaganda.They will not allow you to notice the demographics of protagonists and antagonists. They do not want honest

It’s incredibly frustrating how difficult it has become to edit or remove information from a project I hold the full rights to. Any film in development naturally evolves, this should be understood and supported. Yet IMDbPro continues to ignore my update requests.

I've been trying to revise the plot summary of one of my projects, but the process has become a nightmare. I’ve also attempted to remove my contact number from my profile, the system says the change was approved, yet the number still appears. I genuinely don’t know what else to do at this point.

For a platform I pay for, and which is meant to support industry professionals, the experience has been disappointingly unresponsive and unhelpful.

I work to this platform they said you like movies and you will get salary I did every time when I liked movies after 10 movies they asked me to deposit money and then I’m able to like another movies I did I wasted all my money to this company and I’m not able to withdraw my money back, it’s a big scammer first they ask you buy rating the movies you will get pay and after they ask you to deposit

I have used this site for over a decade.

In the last 5 years it has massively gotten worse due to fake 10 star reviews.

Many are written purely by AI now or just fake accounts writing ridiculous 10 star reviews.

It can be the worst movie and the 10 star reviews will be like "lifechanging movie that will stay with me all my life" and things like that. I have literally seen that said on one of the worst movies ever.

You can see a film that everyone hates as it is dreadful, but they will get either crew or pay for 10 star reviews and they do not ever get removed.
IMDB just allow it!

Basically if you see lots of 10 star reviews on a film, ignore the rating and go by the reviews.
Lots of 10 star reviews = terrible film
Lots of low reviews - better than the ones with lots of 10 star reviews.

They made you have to type longer reviews now, but that doesn't stop fake accounts and AI reviews!
It just punishes genuine reviews as people just won't bother.

IMDB just do not care about it at all, even though IMDB pro is used by professionals, yet this site allows the most fake reviews ever.

I have complained to IMDB before but they just make rubbish excuses such as "we have checks in place" which they clearly don't.
The only check they will do is IP address. This is stupid as that is easily changed or faked.

Do better. Your site is now unreliable trash which is so sad as it was such a great site.

Don't listen to unreliable reviews which are stopping people going to see films which are killing our local cinemas. Go see it yourself and make your own mind up!!!

So disappointed in this website. It was my favorite. Now terrible annoying neverending ads. Not allowing honest reviews.

Recent revisions to the website make it almost impossible to navigate to the information required. Not willing to spend the time to work through page after page to then not find what I'm looking for. Who redesigned the new format? They should be fired!

Very good, the oldest and the best movie site database and reviews, better than rotten tomatoes, metacritic, etc.
