Terrible site with 90% fake profiles controlled by bot. Most women appear to be university educated with and MSc working in HR.

It's a farce and a fraud. I have reported the matter to my bank as this is fraud. They have deliberately mislead their audience.

Stay well clear and do pay their extortionate fees.

The site promotes itself as a safer, more secure site than many other dating sites but isn't - it pulls the same scams and stunts as the worst of the rest but charges men (women are free) a lot more to do so.

On the home page it claims it has been used by over 1,581,640 genuine UK users since 2003. This is something that is impossible for them to verify since you are routinely messaged by fake and bot profiles that the site shows little enthusiasm or ability to prevent and relies on user complaints to do so. Around 80% of the female profiles on the site are inactive and have been for a long time and the site tries to disguise this by showing on their profiles a last active date of between 24 hours to 5 days, then after that uses something like 'Last Active: Waiting for Mr Right' or 'Last Active: She's waiting for you!' that can cover anything from 6 days to 6 years.

The site also creates fake profiles to boost numbers and act as 'fluffers' contacting men who have signed-up but not paid to allow them to read and send messages. They message, you pay to read and reply, you never hear from them again. However, these profiles are fairly easy to spot and avoid, using the same types of photos and overly-florid style of profile text.

The site could implement some very simple features to improve the male experience, like blocking the use of URLs in messages or allowing you to prevent contact from people outside your preferred age range and location to prevent a lot of the spam and scam contacts, but don't and won't answer questions about this (or many other things) when you contact support leaving you to suppose that since this site is about making money by attracting men to a place where there are lots of women, decreasing the number of women would decrease the number of men.

They could make women pay but if they did, they wouldn't join at all and neither would any men.

It is possible to have a good experience here but as a man, the odds are very much against you.

It's poor, scammy and expensive - you have been warned.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The site is full of auto-generated profiles, auto generated messages to encourage an expensive upgrade just to read them, no attempt to monitor the profiles to detect outright fraud and prostitution. The "forum" is a joke and so is their matchfinder. Don't bother even registering, let alone parting with any cash for membership

This website is a complete joke and full of fake women ripping and taking advantage of men for there money

This site is a scam as soon as you put your profile on there and then allow that profile to be viewed yiu are then bombarded by women with profiles which are provocative which you genuinely believe are interested in your profile as soon as you hit the upgrade button they disappear..

I also agree with other reviewers that there are so many scam profiles on this site it is very hard to No which profiles are real

This is not a site I would recommend in any shape or form if you are male

Been on and off the site for years, meet some lovely women on there. Sadly there are a lot of fakes and scammers moving in over the last few years but that is true of every site. Slight downside is it's not cheap for men! That was good for keeping out problem men that spoilt it for the rest of us but as woman go on free (my understanding) it doesn't discourage scammers and professionals. Increasing numbers of mistresses on there; fine if that's your thing. Also it does auto renewals which I think should be banned, although in fairness if you ask to cancel they do and you get the rest of the month you paid for so that's fair

The site has some actual ladies but most seem like bots asking the same questions to probably loads of different guys and not answering any questions in return.
IMO save your money!!

I totally agree with the other comments here saying you are scammed with a monthly recurring payment while being duped into thinking it is a one off payment for say six weeks. You are assured credit/debit card details are not held but they are and continuous payments taken without notifiction. This put me in considerable debt when I was ill five years ago which I haven't recovered from. This only happens to males since females can subscribe and send and receive messages for free blantent sexual discrimination of services under the Equality Act 2010. How this can persist makes a mockery of such law and is facilitating abuse of vulnerable men with many female profiles openly seeking financial gain for sex and friendship

So for some this may be a no no but for those looking for an affair this site has proven very trustworthy and the people using it are genuine. Yes there are the strange ones but on the whole it has worked for me. I would highly recommend the site, yes it costs 'Men' and is free to the ladies but it does work.

The site is easy to use. Interesting people. I met someone and we are in regular touch; we've found in each other exactly what we were both seeking.

It's a good site probably the only genuine site out there but need to weed out a few scammers.

Although there is the odd suspect person overall I feel the site is safer than any other out there. It's easy to block unwanted people pestering and easy to search to find the people in age range and location wanted.

Excellent Website. Does what it says on the Tin! Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.

It delivers what I had hoped for. I am not terribly comfortable about computerised systems and so some of the nuances I struggled with, but once they were explained to me they worked well.

Firstly let me say it does work.

The question is how long do you sign up for, too short and it's rushed, too long it becomes addictive but boring.

Like all in life there is a mixed bag on there, including scammers. The trick is how to weed them out. Probably go with your first instinct, but then the problem is, are they just not very good blindly getting their personality over. It can me a mind field, be open minded, be polite and be careful no different to meeting a stranger for the first time, give yourself time to work them out.
Then you have the frustration of timing, everyone dipping in and out of conversation which could go on for weeks. Sometimes with timing you can suddenly connect, good timing, the stars align and your away. It will either fizzle out or you end up meeting.

Then you face the reality, are they what they portrayed in conversation and importantly do they look like the photos.

Being on there at various times as various different profile names, I can say on three occasions they didn't look like their photos. After seeing them in the flesh they certainly wasn't as slim as they impersonated.
It was very clear they were after one thing, which in the first instance seems great, that is if you can put the size deception aside. Obviously once everyone has relieved themselves, you question why you are there. If it's just for sexual relieve, you could debate that a professional might be cheaper and a quicker process without the baggage.

So before and if you join, ask yourself what you really want from this. It will be frustrating, it will be time consuming and you may not achieve anything apart from getting to know that there are a lot of people in the same boat and pay to find that out.

I wouldn't even give this one star. Agree with most the comments and advise people ... especially men ... to AVOID this site.

It is a complete scam ... extremely expensive for men to join and free for women. Most of the female profiles are clearly fakes designed to hook you in. I had several months of frustrating experience before deciding to let my subscription lapse.

Suddenly I was inundated with what appeared to be a lot of interest so resubscribed. Lo and behold ... half the profiles disappeared and no messages for any of the supposedly interested parties.

My own fault for being wo naive, please don't be fooled and fall into the same trap.

Awful, scammy site that uses references to UK media to make it appear classy but actually pulls All the same scams and stunts that cheap dating sites pull, but charged an awful lot of money it you’re male. Women are free and that’s part of the problem.
85% of the site female profiles are dormant for months or years.
Lots of fake profiles created by the site to articially boost numbers. Bots, scammers and hookers that the site does so little to stop you wonder if this is just a more plausibly deniable way to scam money.
On top of that the site design and functionality is terrible with some really lame features. Avoid.

I'm back reviewing this site again, for a reason.

I've tried pretty much every other site of this nature, and I think, putting aside the interface it's the best.
Weird thing to say, but the people are actually nice and friendly, and most importantly, mostly as far as I could tell, not fake. I met quite a few and/or spoke on WhatsApp. These guys do not prevent numbers being passed unlike some other websites. In fact, I even got used to the interface.

In general I would say, avoid credit based sites. These are the ones that keep you talking so you spend money on credits.

So, credit (see what I did there :-)) where credit is due. You guys would have got 4 if the interface was better and 5 if you had an app.

I read the reviews here before signing up to IE, so went in with my eyes open. I have to be honest and say that I experienced a few of the negative points raised here, such as the fake profiles messaging as soon as I landed then disappearing, ladies asking for photos and then disappearing, etc. I also got what I suspect was a phishing message, inviting me to view photos on another site, but I reported it and the profile was immediately removed. I also contacted admin to cancel the auto renew on my account and that was also done immediately and without question.

I took a look around the site before deciding to take the plunge and because I hesitated in completing the sign up journey, I was offered a discounted rate for 3 weeks. £99 was a bit more palatable, so I signed up.

In terms of the engagement, it’s perfectly representative of life on and offline, in that you get out what you put in. If you use one of their computer generated profiles, the ladies will pass you by. If you send one-line messages, they will ignore you. Simples.

It’s a site for people who are looking to fill the gaps in their lives, so their going to set their sights high, and rightly so.

I have two weeks to go and am about to go out on my second date. I can’t be sure if this one will lead to anything (the first won’t), but it is proof positive that there are genuine women on the site who are looking for the same thing as the men. You just have to make and maintain an effort.

Free for women which means you get lots of trash and fakes and a few good ones. You can categorise women into:
- genuine ones, but nowadays fewer of those
- genuine ones but serial adulterers (I know), so they will connect but also connect with a lot more
- IE bots, those that appear as you join, before you leave and after your leave
- the gold diggers, suddenly very keen to swap contacts and you get some dodgy link to click on

All in all, its a lottery of some sorts. What they need to do is charge women a reasonable amount, the men get ripped off big time, before you hand over £150+ . I did meet someone nice before covid, continued meeting recently till I found out she's been meeting 2 others as well, just by chance when I changed my profile because I thought lets play the game too.

So if you like casual meets, random encounters its ok to use once you get around the bots.
